Thank you, I kept looking for the pricing on ProctorU and they weren't transparent. You answered my question on that. You are right even if the pricing has gone up from that amount you mentioned it still is worth doing it over having to find someone offline.

I have only had 3 proctored exams; all with ProctorU. Same thought process as yours. And this pandemic adds more reason to go with the online option.
When I saw 2 proctor options, I went straight to the online one even I know it’s charged but the offline seemed complicated for me.
But I also heard there are people who take the offline one, it would be cool to hear from those too. I’m trying to get more information :)

What happens for math, algebra relates courses where you need to do calculations.. are you allowed to use pen and paper?
after completing the proctored exam with an offline/online proctor, will he/she has to be the same proctor for all my upcoming proctored courses, or each course we'll have its own proctor?

Had anyone ever used an offline proctor ?
I have been struggling since the morning to understand the technology requirements🤦🏻♀️
I have recently purchased a macbook and I'm not so familiar with it. I have the latest version of safari and I downloaded firefox,adobe acrobot reader, chrome. Other problem is that the system check shows that I can use safari, but the third party cookies are blocked so it can't play audio files😭
Can someone help me here?

Yes you can in condition you have to make sure the required number of proctored courses at UoPeople ‘cause they do require you must take at least how many proctored exams at UoPeople

It depends on the course but normally it takes 1hr for a course exam

The longest I took was 60 minutes I don’t know how’s about other courses whether it will take longer or not

Hi, I recently sign up at proctorU but it requires chrome extension,
and the extension got bad reviews, so I doubt to download it.
Base on your experience, do you download the extension ?
Or, were you taking your exam without downloading chrome extension?
I did install the extension. It’s been working fine for me. So no worry. If they require you to do so, just follow their instruction to avoid troubles later I guess.

Hi, I have a question: is the $120 for every course proctored or not, or just for proctored. Because currently I'm being asked to pay $240 for two courses that aren't exactly proctored UNIV1101 and CS1001. Any help you could give here would be appreciated.
120$ is basic exam fee for each course
For proctored course you need to pay extra

If you're asking whether Data Science is proctored or not, it will list this directly on Uopeople's website.
its obvious that we can't use google or any other site as it would be considered as cheating but to run the codes provided in the final exam quiz can't we even use the program like eclipse for java ? or would that be considered as cheating ?
You literally can’t use anything. It’s multiple choice questions. Mid-term and final exam are just a way to evaluate student’s performance. Coding skills are also reviewed and scored through assignments students need to work on every week.
Usuallly in CS quizzes, questions like what would be the output of the following code are asked. So are we supposed to run that piece of code in the developing application to know the output or are we not allowed to that ?

If you study CS at offline schools in my country, they even ask you to write all codes in paper, not just tick the answer in multiple choice questions.
Engl exam is tough in uni of people? My exam is on 24th of this month kindly help me. And tell me do’s and dont’s.
It will be basic as what you study during the term no worries. Since English is used in all study at UoPeople and it’s even more advanced while studying major course. You gotta pass at least this standard level for be prepared for next challenging study.

Proctored exams are written exams.
Hello, One proctor is for all proctored exam or we should take a proctor for one proctored exam?
If you use proctor agency, they will assign proctors themselves for us. It could be different or the same for exams. About the offline proctor you pick yourself, I’m not sure whether it could be the same person or not. If you could prove that one doesn’t have any relation with you I think the same one is still oke. Just my opinion

It depends on specific subjects but I find major programming course assignment medium difficult to deal with
Hi there, I am new student at the university of the people, my registration was denied cause I didn't provide a proctor and registration now are closed, what do you think will happen? is there any chance that they will open registration again knowing that the term starts in November 11!!
You gotta contact your advisor, they might extend the deadline for your registration or register for you. If not, you need to wait till next term to do so.

After you finish your exam what you should do?
Is there any option like finish attempt or not?
You don’t need to do anything except for waiting to get the exam score and final grading after a week. And you can have 1-2 weeks rest before the new term coming.
Is BSC in computer science a hard major?
To me as a beginner without any programming skill, it’s pretty hard but it’s still manageable ;)

@@bintabdulqadir8189 you could take up to 3 courses per term. There're 5 terms per year.

@@bintabdulqadir8189 i think it's different for different people. You could try it for first courses and still could quit If you feel you're unable to manage it. I don't think it's a big deal at the beginning of the progress
Hi, is there any video that provide a guide to access the exam using proctorU?
Since I just used proctor while I was taking the exam. My brain was already stressed about the test that’s why I can’t do the video for the proctor at the same time. it’s not difficult, the person who is in charge of a proctor will let you know step by step to access it. I just only got problem with software setup in my computer at first exam but when the proctor connected with the technical guy to fix it for me on my screen then everything went smooth after. It will be fixed but people better book the exam date earlier enough so that you still have time to manage it after if things are in trouble rather then let it go out of deadline.
The offline proctor is being watched by the university to make sure not cheating.

Very quick question what if you don't pass the proctored exams for me i have not registared just yet but im worried on the college algebra and that I may not pass it I have a difficult time with math but I amvery efficient and know computers very well
