Forget the guitar for a second.. The person that loaned you the guitar and said go ahead play it… must be a pretty cool Cat. Not many people would spend that kind of money and let people touch it much less play it .. much respect to them
I agree to some extent, but there is definitely a difference between loaning it to Casino Guitars for a video and your buddy Bob from the bowling alley.
@PeteManic nope, if you read my other comment you will see that Casino responded to my post it’s a guy that built a roofing company and busts his bit to be able to afford this kind of thing ..
I nearly choked on my breakfast over the description of the buyer experience for this FIFTY K purchase- Free first class flight to Nashville, top-class accommodations, but you have to arrange your cab from the airport? That’s the most Gibson thing ever…
I got a Greeny Les Paul by Vintage Guitars, not quite the same, but it has that out-of-phase sounds and it only cost me £220. I can live with the fact that it's not quite as good as this Gibson Custom shop greeny 😊
You could buy 200 of those vintage greenys and still have cash left over to buy a pickup winding machine and components to make 199 sets of different voiced pickups(varying resistance/wire winds of p90s humbuckers etc alnico 2,3,4,5) and install them in every possible pickup combination for less than 50k....... Or 1 if these Gibsons..hmmmm...
JC Took me on a tour of the vault when I went to the garage and was star struck that he was just hanging out in the lobby. He’s one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
Damn I had no idea they were making a version of this, lucky bastards!!….got see Gary play greenie back in the 80’s playing Parisienne walkways, my ears are still ringing!…beautiful! 😎
I played bassoon in high school and college and spent some time around some committed musicians who had spent a lot of money on an instrument, or were planning on it. A high end Heckle, a German brand and I’m not sure of the spelling, is easily in the tens of thousands. One of my teachers bought a used one for around $40,000 that needed work. The guitar doesn’t have quite the hands on time as a bassoon, but the provenance and exclusivity is there, with regards to this model of LP. I wouldn’t buy it but I still think it’s somewhat reasonably priced, given the circumstances and the market. High end brand name instruments are freaking expensive no matter what kind of instrument, and what’s higher end than a limited run Gibson custom shop?
I completely agree with you. A lot of guitarists have no concept of how expensive other types of instruments can be. As to what is more expensive than a Gibson Custom Shop, there have been several Fender Custom Shop one-offs that actually make these (and original Bursts) look affordable. Martin has also had Custom Shop models in the $50,000 to over $100,000 price range.
You havent played many used guitars have you? 50,000 is outrageous. Let me see your reciepts, if you have 40,000 dollar guitars? Violins cost 1 mil. That has nothing to do with Gibson or any other electric guitar. I 50,000 dollar guitar will not make you sound any better than a 6,000 custom shop i promise!!!!
So you were in highschool band and you have a rich friend who might be a muscian. Ok? This guitar is a disgusting rip off and youre the last person that would have any understanding of why.
I get what you are saying, but in those cases you pay for 'playability'. In this case you are not paying for 'playability'. Really it is an expensive relicing job.
I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Murphy at the Dallas Guitar show, probably 10 years ago. He gave a presentation on the making of the Jimmy Page and Billy Gibbons Les Paul custom shop versions. He passed around pictures of the originals, whole and take apart. Plus he had prototype bodies and parts. It was an amazing guitar history. Just the way Tom is...so down to earth...made it one of my personal guitar highlights!
@@dubster82 I'm just saying if I bought a $50,000 guitar the one thing I wouldn't do was loan it out so someone could make a youtube video about it. One how would thar help me unless my goal was to flip it for over $100k or more. And two I just dropped 50 large on one guitar. That's almost the price of a house in some places in the US. Or a luxury car. Those guitars are for a niche market of collectors that will most likely never play those at all. Maybe they will be checked for string breakage and tuned occasionally and that's a big maybe. They wouldn't want to devalue their investment now would they?
I absolutely love this guitar. 50K, I couldn't do it. But I love it. And I think Kirk is a awesome. Glad he has the original and plays it live. Neat stuff guys. Thanks.
I can completely agree that I have to give mad respect to Kirk for actually taking this piece of history on the road and playing it live. There are a couple of sides to that, one side says "put it in a museum and preserve it forever". Well then it can't do what it was made to do, make music. The other side of that argument is play that thing just like Peter and Gary did, and that is what Kirk is doing, maybe not to the extent that they did, but just bringing in on the road and not just using it for recording, that says allot about they guy
That’s the coolest aspect of it. Kirk takes it out on tour it’s being used and loved. As a player you better believe if I had a guitar that cost more than a house I’m going to play it. That’s why I’ll never be rich probably, but if I had a super rare old muscle car, I’d daily drive it also whenever possible. What’s the point in having expensive toys that you never play with ? It ain’t much different than the woman with the fancy “sitting room” with the nice furniture, that no one is allowed to sit in nor does the room ever get used. I understand if you have a family heirloom that has been passed down a couple generations and also happens to be considerably valuable maybe putting it away to pass on down being extra careful with it because of what it represents about your family. I don’t think we can assume value on anything that’s being made today. How do we know what people will want and pay crazy money for in 70 years ?
Should have went to a person that plays the kind of music to continue its tradition.. Sad it gets played on stage Makin music that any 200 dollar guitar with a distortion pedal can do. Don't get me wrong I love Metallica. Up until black album. Kirk is the wrong owner.
If someone else was supposed to have it they would, Kirk is the custodian the universe choose to have this guitar right now, I don't own or have ever listened to a single Metallica LP but I've seen and heard more about this Les Paul than any other so how do you deduct Kirk is the wrong owner?
Agreed, like, what is Casino doing? Look at this outrageous, even for Gibson, price, on still current Gibson quality department. Yeah, 50k, can't manage to get a studio to come put like the studio beside it, but 50k please for this.
Great job guys! Greenie was just a really good Les Paul. Take 5K, go play a ton of Les Paul's, and find that 'really good' one for you. I just saved you $45K. Now if you really want to be helpful you can buy a couple of 20K vehicles for struggling, hard-working families. One of those families is probably nurturing the next Peter Green or Eric Clapton. You're welcome.
Unless it’s made of gold plated hardware and some special wood there’s not a guitar I’d pay five grand for,it’s a block of wood with strings, doesn’t take an engineer to put one together and it doesn’t take a world renown artist to paint it
@@tommilitello198 I'd be inclined to agree with you these days...I fully expect to pay _up_ _to_ 3K or so for a great USA-made, but not even many acoustics would fetch 5k from me now...
JC is legitimately an awesome guy. First time I met him we talked for a while, and he invited me to the Gibson Garage 1 year anniversary party this past summer. At the party, we hung almost the entire time - it was like he was trying to avoid his "CEO responsibilities" lol (in the best way possible). He brought me and my fiancé back into "the vault" and the backstage bar area with JJN and his wife, where we chilled out with some beers (and perhaps a little hipster lettuce) just being guitar nerds.
He came around to make sure things were going alright in the factory a few times especially during the crazy few months that was feb-Aug 2020. From the tornado (I was working night shift when it came through) to Covid.
Why is everyone so negative about everything in online guitar communities? Why do so many viewers feel the need to go on a video like this, where someone has been gracious enough to lend their newly purchased guitar that they're so proud of and happy with that they want to share their experience with those that can't afford it, and turn it into a negative situation? Not everything needs to be made for every single person. If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it, why are you telling others whether they should have bought it or that it wasn't worth it? Demand is obviously way more than the number that were made. Let people be happy and enjoy what makes them happy. And anyone that ever says anything such as "specific model guitar X is a real guitar for real musicians, and specific brand Y isn't", you obviously missed the point of playing guitar. There's a reason you seldom hear professionals bashing brands or guitars. Even if something isn't for you, it doesn't mean it's not perfect for someone else, and the thing you think is perfect may be a horrible choice for someone else. No one out there can speak for every player.
cudo's to you guys for doing good coverage on Gibson even tho you're not a dealer... gives off objective vibes, and builds genuine trust for me as a potential buyer.
Great video guys. The whole experience package is interesting. Really makes you think twice about the price on the second hand market since the experience is not included.
"Perforated so _when_ it breaks..." 🤣 I seem to recall about years ago that Gibson offered an Ace Frehley "Budokan" Les Paul, and there was a "VOS" type option, but also an aged option. I'm pretty sure they said they did in fact break and then repair the headstock. It was in the neighborhood of $14k, and I remember thinking, "Well that's a dumb option!" (Not gonna lie - I bought the Epiphone version that came out at the same time. It _didn't_ have the headstock break. I have number 32, and it's one of my favorite guitars!)
Question: If you wanted a Gibson Les Paul that sounded exactly like the 50k Greeny but WITHOUT looking like someone dragged it by a chain behind a pickup truck in a gravel parking lot ---, which one should you buy? Maybe a VOS '59 reissue? I'd love one that sounded the same and that I could do my own natural relicing. Serious question! Kudos to those who appreciate the relicing; to each his/her own, but seeing a NEW guitar in that condition is traumatic to me. Different strokes for different folks.
59 reissue, 4 conductor custombuckers, 4 push-pull 500kohm pots, both for in and out of phase sound, replace tuners with metal grovers and your there!!
Nigel Tufnel: Look… still has the old tag on, never even played it. Marty DiBergi: (points his finger) You’ve never played…? Nigel Tufnel: Don’t touch it! Marty DiBergi: We’ll I wasn’t going to touch it, I was just pointing at it. Nigel Tufnel: Well… don’t point! It can’t be played. Marty DiBergi: Don’t point, okay. Can I look at it? Nigel Tufnel: No. no. That’s it, you’ve seen enough of that one. Happy Spanksgiving!🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
I own only CS Gibsons and it took years to get to that point and I’m extremely happy with them, however $50K just isn’t worth it to me maybe bc it isn’t my favorite player or maybe because it’s another R9 5-6K does the trick to me
As someone who has played two 1959 Gibson Les Paul's and other various Gibson's worth thousands of dollars. I can promise you that guitar isn't even worth 6k. It's sick. It looks great, but there are plenty of Gibsons lying around that will get just as good, if not better than that one, for what you are looking for. Slash's number one Les Paul wasn't even a Gibson, and two main live Les Paul's were 2nds from the Gibson factory. Keep it in perspective. ;-) Outside of all of that. That guitar is sick and looks great. Would love to hear it.
This is the second time they have released the Murphy made Greeny reproduction to the public. Last release was in 2010 and they made 125 guitars. In 2010 they made a reference to Melvin Franks, who was a previous owner of the guitar. This time they released 50 guitars and they added a case that says Green, Moore and Hammett. Absent was Franks, who was a collector.
I think the “luxury” aspect is fine especially with any company/brand. In reality, it’s just another Murphy historic reissue 2020-now. If anything I’d be more picky with weight. If it’s more than 8.5lbs then I’d say skip on this one and any other les Paul before you realize it after
Naw- I can't buy a 50K guitar, but kudos to those who can, 'specially if they use some of their luck to help those in need. Even the most fortunate of us are carrying a pretty heavy chain...
Remember that Gibson Chet Atkins they did in the late 90s or early 2000s... It was on the cover of A.M.S. and Musicians Friend for months... They were originally listed as $100k... I remember seeing the exact same photo spread on the cover a couple years later and it had come down to $90k. And even then, not knowing anything about the actual industry etc, I assumed they just hadn't sold as anticipated.
On these high priced items most people think it's a rich dude that buys them, but you're forgetting - credit cards. Most of this stuff is put on credit cards, not cash.
25 people in The Vault?!?! LMAO that room holds MAYBE 5 people comfortably, 10 if you squeeze. If I paid $50k and had to watch from the hallway I'd be pissed. That said it's VERY easy to see the vault. Just go in on a Friday afternoon, and 90% chance you'll see either JC or Cesar...then you just ask. If they're free, they'll usually do it. It's part of the experience that they WANT to provide to guests.
Even the old PAF’s aren’t that great. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s you could buy them easily for $200-$500. I bought a bunch of them. Some were great, most weren’t. The 57 classic was superior to my ears. More consistent.
Love Gibson Garage agree how much people love the brand and guitars such an awesome team. Got to see the vault one of the most memorable music experiences for me.
Super cool if someone wants to spend it on this guitar.. awesome but for me law of diminishing return takes effect. I have a custom shop GIBSON which took me a year of payments to pay for and it’s amazing … but how much better can this guitar be? Def not 44,000 better.. lol. Anyway hats off to those that have them and love them ..
Agree with you Scott, spend your money on what you want! You can get a really nice truck or a super old beat up f150 both with get you around. One of our good friends who bought this one is a hard working blue collar dude, started a roofing company and busts his ass and spends his hard earned money on guitars. He provides jobs and a fair living wage for his workers.
That’s amazing I completely agree that people can and should spend there duckies how they choose. Life’s short, enjoy and do what ya want not what everyone says you should…also lol curse you guys lol.. these custom shop guitars you have sold me are amazing and for me personally kinda ruined playing a standard factory built guitar.. the Custom shops are just so personal and play amazing and of course sound divine… yep. Thanks. My life will never be same. Lol
I really want one! but I don't have 50 g's to spend, so I'm gonna hold out hopes for a demo shop release hopefully around 35-40k? y'know, a working man's guitar budget!
Here's what you do, friend: Buy a Chibson for 300 bucks, take it to the beach and drag it through the sand for about 50 yards then throw rocks at it for ten minutes. Voila! You have a $50,000 "custom relic" guitar.
Wonder how many terry made before it went back 🤣 50k for a guitar. I think the best of it, Peter Green , as I've read, I didn't know him but he said he didn't really like the guitar. Each to their own but for me it's a bit silly.
Legend has it that “Greenie” has made more false notes since it belonged to its new owner than in more than fifty years of existence. RIP Gary and Peter
You are missing points and have some wrong info... But thanks for the video! THere was a car in the airport to pick you up, my turn at the vault we were about 10 tops, and you could only bring a +1 to the event. Only 1. We were around 100 at the second day dinner, no more... 50x2 = 100 We were also shown a new artist release that has not being announced yet, and at the factory we spent like an hour talking to Tom Murphy. It was not a tight evening at all, I don't know who gave you that information but is not true. We were also able to take the picture from the side with Kirk. Kirk Tech was a killer he spent over 2 hours with us at the hotel and he was great. JC was indeed great.
I always have to remind myself, if we were talking violins and cellos, 50k would be pretty normal for an exceptional instrument. That said… it’s all about the experience, the story, provenance, the reputation of the builder, the history of the company at this level. Do I believe a great luthier could make as good of a guitar… yes I do. Would it be worth as much?…. Well it’s all about the experience .. the story .. the provenance … the rep……..
$50K? Cool guitar, I think I’d need an extended layaway option… Hopefully, a few of the folks that actually wind up with one of these guitars will actually be guitarists, hopefully!
Please guys correct me if lm wrong but this particular Greeny is Extra extra special its the 50th guitar “WOW “ Someone owns the coolest Greeny Reissue on the planet…. Bet you Jason Momoa who got one of the last two left from the vault is kicking himself have you seen his ? Your right guys behold the 50th guitar that was finished by Tom Murphy himself can’t get any better ……..
I think I actually have to agree with Gibson's decision to make these available exclusively through their own store. The numbers are extremely limited and they really tried to sell this as a whole experience and refused to sell to those who they knew would immediately flip them for a profit, of course that's bound to happen in some cases but at least more of them ended up with people that actually wanted one versus someone that wanted to flip one. It would have been difficult to do this by giving them to retailers. Each retailer would have been given a single guitar in most cases and even though there are plenty of fantastic retailers out there, how many of them do you think would have been sold to friends or even employees of the shop? I have a feeling if these were given to dealers we would be seeing a much bigger proportion already up for resale at a much higher price. There are so many examples of limited items in this industry that are all scooped up immediately just for a profit by people that have no interest in keeping them. Then the people that do actually want the item have to pay more. It happens with everything from pedals to guitars.
I am a lifelong Les Paul player. I lover Peter Green. I love Gary Moore. And I was a HUGE Metallica fan in the mid 80's. I have and did own over a dozen Historic Reissues. Aged, Vos and Gloss. I own an original 1952 Goldtop. Even if I had the means to I WOULD NEVER SPEND 50K on this guitar! Its ridiculous!! I bought my 52 for WAY LESS and its an original. Lawyers and attorneys and guys with too much money will buy these and store them away. They probably dont even play. This is just stupid no matter how nice the guitar is. IT BETTER BE!
@@gazzy_burns give a fender custom shop a try.. I said same thing and now own three different custom shops.. there personal, play amazing and sound divine and I am a blue collar earner …I just make payments. Well worth give them a try if you get chance
Yeah and people that play Gibson USAs say that your custom shops and original 52s are collectors that don’t play. And people that play epiphones say the same about Gibsons and rinse and repeat. “I’ve wasted 10s of thousands on les Paul’s but I can’t afford this so obviously this is the only one that’s overpriced” grow up. Everything anyone buys will be looked upon as a stupid purchase by someone else, just spend money how you please.
Thanks for the review. So is it just cosmetics? The Murphy Lab guitars are interesting, but how are they different from a normal historics LP? Is it really worth X4 of a really nice historic?
The best guitar review ever where nobody played the damn guitar. No worries I love this channel you can watch while you're eating cause you won't miss anything. You guys must have some great weed. Or maybe I do. Cool guitar how does it sound😃
Hey fellas Looking forward to seeing your reviews, I just subscribed to John’s ch Dylan is still there , just spoke to him last week, he’s my main guy I deal with , but they are all fantastic people, hell I was lucky enough to meet Mark A last time I was there 🤘🏼
If you take away the fandom isn’t it just a LP from the custom shop? It’s copied provenance so I wouldn’t image that it would be the same. But if it the same in the buyers head then ok I guess. And I thought $1,299 was hefty for my used LP.
I have one question and one statement. 1. Does anyone know how much Gibson pays Tom Murphy? 2. I hope Gibson decides to make you guys a dealer after making the longest video that I can remember for one of their guitars.
I'm curious, is the Tom Murphy Labs stuff actually worth it? Because he's just changing the look, Tom's got nothing to do with the sound. I'm just wondering if it's worth the extra money?
Its gonna be funny to see how much people are immediately trying to flip them for once they actually get one? Im betting a minimum of $100,000, but likely the scalpers will be asking $250,000 to clear a cool $200,000. They may even ask $500,000+! It will happen for sure!
Gotta love Gibson, they are the ultimate capital pig companies. I'm all for making a profit but 10 times + the cost? The hardware should be solid 14KT gold.
Well Yeah, but, Not Even!🙄 Could you imagine the Quality of a Custom made, just for You, One of a kind 50K guitar from one of the Best Luthiers in the World.👍🥰 They can keep their meet and greet marketing BS!
We'll i bought the new green magic ups from seymour Duncan.... put them in a really nice les paul , and to my feeling it comes close enough... really nice And possible for anybody... at any budget... still works in an epiphone (although i went full bankrupt)
Why in the world would you purchase a reissue at the price when you can buy a real, mint, pre-CBS custom color color Fender for less? And I guarantee the vintage Fender is more usable for the real musician.
I wish I was lucky enough to get on the list that allowed me to pay 50k for what is essentially a 3k guitar. I guess it will go up in value but you're not playing a vintage guitar with history are you, you're just playing a new Les Paul. Crazy world.
After the scratches and dings are repaired, replacing the speed knobs and of course putting in some new DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups (with coil taps and micro switches) it would be a nice Les Paul.
Bought it and experienced it, I highly recommend the “experience package” as this was my second. Honestly I preferred the Korina experience better because it was smaller more access to the Gibson Brass. JC is an amazing cat that refuses to accept the accolades he so justly deserves! As per the guitar mine is a PHENOMENAL scanned clone. I have had more Murphy lab guitars in my hands than 95% of the populous and flat out this is BY FAR THEIR BEST WORK to date. Just wait until Baxter and Johnathan start uploading demos…. You will be impressed!
Why did I think I heard, that before you bought it you had to sign some legal agreement saying you won't sell this guitar for a certain amount of years? Was Gibson, once a month, gonna come to your house like a probation officer to make sure you were doing everything you agreed to. They are already being sold for $85,000?
I don’t get it guys... Unless it’s THE original, what in God’s name could make it worth the price of a new truck..? It’s truly gorgeous but... just no... Unless it has alien otherworldly electronics and wood from Eden.... lol Nope. That being said, thanks for showing us and giving us the info on it. Great show as always. Respects fellas. Thank you! Cheers!❤️😎🎸
I’m not sure I understand where the value comes from. The guitar doesn’t have a real history or providence, I mean it’s a copy. It was manufactured with simulated wear and tear. I never have really understood the road worn and heavy relic instruments. I guess it’s for those who can spend 40k for a copy but not a million + for a real one?
These collectors have no idea what they are missing I would play the shit out it as I do with the one I bought last year great les paul btw it is my first Gibson and I plan on getting a couple more I just can't see just watching this guitar and thinking how much I could sale it for I guess that's the difference between a player and a collector all they do is drive up the price of great playing guitars
I am going to guess that these guitars are not going to get played, ever. I mean if you were going to play a guitar why pay $50,000 for a guitar that you can buy brand new for $3,000? I mean look it is a Les Paul. In theory all Gibson's should play well, soooooo why pay extra for nothing that contributes to playability?
@@jamesburge1983 I guess ultimately it’s about the ‘rarity’ of the copies and association with such an iconic instrument … it’s a lot of money to pay for a new guitar! Some of them might have a life but I suspect most will just be admired in their case. I’d like to think they went to big Peter Green and/or Gary Moore fans but who knows?
I'm sure one of these days they'll have an Epiphone version,,based on this one's price,, probably be the one even regular Gibson customers can afford lol, maybe the Epiphone experience is with Dr Epiphone at a pizza hut and you get to meet kirk's mom in a Starbucks when you get your guitar
I am SO jealous you guys have one of those things there.....such a cool thing to have. Classic tone in a cooler body that's a bit sturdier. Would love to have a couple of them in my collection. Maybe you'd consider selling it to me or trading for 2 of mine that are super similar? I'm talking about the Shure SM56 btw....not sure if I made the clear

Maybe they will be checked for string breakage and tuned occasionally and that's a big maybe. They wouldn't want to devalue their investment now would they?
@@spiderfan1974 they did though 🤷

The actual Greeny is cool because of the history. This has no history and is as cool as a fake Rolex. Each to their own.

J.C. is a cool dude. Very laid back, he handed me the 1959 Les Paul back there to play. Blew my mind.
People are just jealous poor ass ho les
cudo's to you guys for doing good coverage on Gibson even tho you're not a dealer... gives off objective vibes, and builds genuine trust for me as a potential buyer.
Hey Guys, Dylan from the Garage here. Can confirm that A, most of us originals are still here! And B, that the Giraffes are aliens
Crazy expensive. I can't see the point. But I'm someone happy with his Squier Tele 60s custom....

I own only CS Gibsons and it took years to get to that point and I’m extremely happy with them, however $50K just isn’t worth it to me maybe bc it isn’t my favorite player or maybe because it’s another R9 5-6K does the trick to me

Good morning,, everybody!
Hope everybody has a great day today… Thanks for another great video, Casino Guitars!
Good morning! Thanks Mike!
If it’s more than 8.5lbs then I’d say skip on this one and any other les Paul before you realize it after
It should be called the $50,000 Greedy!

If I pay 60k will they leave Hammett off the guitar case?
They'll do anything for a buck!
On these high priced items most people think it's a rich dude that buys them, but you're forgetting - credit cards. Most of this stuff is put on credit cards, not cash.

That said it's VERY easy to see the vault. Just go in on a Friday afternoon, and 90% chance you'll see either JC or Cesar...then you just ask. If they're free, they'll usually do it. It's part of the experience that they WANT to provide to guests.
There were not 20 ppeople at the same time at the vault. Less than 10 I woulds say. They made many groups

You know Gibson got some around
Even the old PAF’s aren’t that great. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s you could buy them easily for $200-$500. I bought a bunch of them. Some were great, most weren’t. The 57 classic was superior to my ears. More consistent.
Love Gibson Garage agree how much people love the brand and guitars such an awesome team. Got to see the vault one of the most memorable music experiences for me.
I ordered my 1st Gibson les Paul standard last year from the Gibson garage and they were awesome , working with them was great love my les paul

1. Does anyone know how much Gibson pays Tom Murphy?
2. I hope Gibson decides to make you guys a dealer after making the longest video that I can remember for one of their guitars.
Love Baxter's baby blue 'Horns' throughout this video!

Does polarity really matter? If baxter sticks his fingers in a european outlet does his hair go the other way?
Let's be honest, here. It's a 10 grand guitar. The other 40 grand went to getting Kirk Hammett to spend an evening with the people who bought 'em.
I'm curious, is the Tom Murphy Labs stuff actually worth it? Because he's just changing the look, Tom's got nothing to do with the sound. I'm just wondering if it's worth the extra money?
are the frets pre-dented?

Its gonna be funny to see how much people are immediately trying to flip them for once they actually get one? Im betting a minimum of $100,000, but likely the scalpers will be asking $250,000 to clear a cool $200,000. They may even ask $500,000+! It will happen for sure!

Incredible tribute Les Paul/s! The facsimiles will have more life in them than the original but are any of them likely to be played much?
