- I'm so excited to announce that as a few days ago I have a 2022 Shelby GT500 on order! Something I've been trying to do since 2018. (Before it was unveiled) In this video I explain how I got to this point in the ordering process and why I'm still cautiously optimistic... I also thought it would be fun to mess with the configurator that shows all the new options and reveal my spec. Let me know what y'all think of it! I also wanted to discuss the status of my Lotus Emira orderer towards the end of this video. Lot's of exciting things happening soon! Now I just need to pop open a lemonade stand or something to pay for all this... Thanks for watching!

I did get my Mach 1 6 speed handling package at msrp....I was worried about it until I signed and they did still give me a good amount for my trade in, even knowing I had no leverage. Took 9 months to get it last year. Hope it all goes well, will be a blast! New to Channel, so congrats on this gt350 and I thought I saw a raptor? Dont ever sell, just build a bigger garage, lol.

I’m in Texas and just got my ‘22 GT500 ordered with deposit 5 days ago. I had to go all the way to Utah to find an allocation! Market is insane but I got hit with a $10k mark up which is better than most
The basic was 72k last year n they raised the price to 78k on top of that 10k more smh…they were doing msrp in south alabama last year

Congrats Brandon! That GT500 looks really good, and I actually like that color. Not as bold as the other greens out there, just a very nice color. So do you have room for a storage lift in the garage? Looking forward to seeing the cars when they get here.
Thank you so much! For the garage situation, worst case is I can have all 4 cars in the garages and the 2 trucks in the driveway. But I do have the ceiling height for a lift, but likely not 2 mustangs. 1 stang and the lotus should be no problem.
@@TexasRevving that's what I was thinking, since the Lotus is shorter. My detached garage is 31x31 and holds 4-5 cars easily, but one car is sideways across the back. It would be easier with a lift in the middle. Could you raise the ceiling a foot or so in the center bay so you can have two lifts? Probably if it isn't a truss system.

i ordered my22 GT500 Dec 23rd mischievous purple it just got to Vegas june 7th to add signature edition package. it was drop shipped there, i have to pay for the shippment to dealer in Hardeeville, SC
so i probably wont get it til end of august

I understand, it’s a lot for a Mustang. But when I consider the performance for the dollar, man is awesome. Not everyone will see the value in those painted stripes and carbon fiber pack, that’s where the “standard” car is just a bargain if you can snag one for the mid 80s
Dealer loyalty is very important it pays off, I bought my gt350r and my f450 Platinum from them. I ordered my GT500 a couple of weeks ago. My dealer called and said they were taking orders but they were limited so I rushed down spec'd out my vehicle. The cost is between me and my dealer and I got a pretty good deal.
I chose the purple with the carbon fiber track pack and etc. But I'm taking mine to the next level after it's completed is going to Shelby American for the GT500KR and widebody packages, Shelby will add metallic gray stripes. Then on to Palm Beach Dyno for a few more tweaks.
I have a few more tweaks and upgrades in mind, plus a few more things I'm looking into but I'm going to keep them to myself.(looking into HJP performance they have a package you might like) I have four other Fords none of them are stock, I can't help it I have a mechanical engineering degree. There's always room for improvement. Good luck with your GT500 I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as much as I'll enjoy mine, once we get them. 😁

The only thing that would scare me, is you're second in line for a 'golden ticket.' I was second in line for a base car (after owning a 350R I just want a base 500) and pulled the plug. I wasn't going to risk waiting and not getting a car because the dealer had not been allocated any. I was able to find a 5k over $74,555 base price allocation before the 2 price increases (another coming 4/17 at 2k). So basically an msrp deal at this point. I would be looking for a car already allocated in the system, if its in the budget. Unless you're confident a dealer is gonna get 2 golden tickets in an extremely limited allocation environment. Either way, best of luck to you.

Thank you! As for the C8Z, as of right now I don’t see any possible way to order it. From my experience, dealerships I call hardly even know what it is, and those that do are going to be asking over sticker they just don’t know how much yet. Either that or you join a line with over 100 people on it that have already paid their deposit. On top of all that, I don’t think they came out with pricing yet so who knows when it will hit the streets. I do like it though! Just quite literally impossible right now

Congratulations on ordering what I feel is the best overall factory performance Mustang ever built. With this Possibly being the last run for the GT500. No way would I pass up the GT500 for a C8. The Shelby GT500 is a limited run and should maintain its true value if not increase in value. I'm seeing $70,000 C8s being sold for $100,000 and special order C8s being flipped weeks after taking delivery because some people tie up inventory orders as a business opportunity. A $30,000 markup on a previously owned C8 even with a 1000 miles more or less is ridiculous. Both cars are outstanding, but setting in the GT500's very comfortable cabin, while hearing it's 5 2 predator's very special exhaust note with performance to match gives you a feeling like no other Sports car and that's before feeling the Gs from the acceleration. A fantastic specialty Mustang that would be the first green copy I've seen. Nice choice! .

Keep the GT350. I have a 2020 GT350R and a 2021 GT500 CFTP. It is making the differences in the cars. They are both S550s but they feel completely different.
Any possibility ,get to performance & suspension. Black & stripe delete.
The gt500s with the carbon fiber track pack only get build during summer months because the cup 2s will go bad outside in the temperature so idk if you’ll get it in January December time frame if you don’t get it before then it’ll probably be pushed to 2023 summer sadly.
I heard of something like that before, I wonder if I will get it mid 23 as a 22 year model though. Especially with them saying eruption green is late availability 🤔
I don’t think they make any of the Mustangs with high performance tires due to tires cracking at low temps.
Im a flat black kinda guy, I do just about everything in flat black. I know kinda boring but I don't like standing out being 6'3 247lbs kinda already covers that. Anyway congrats dude I hope everything works out for you.

Yeah, it's thoroughly disappointing. My age may not be helping me here. I think a lot of folks in my area are willing to overpay like this that is ruining my chances. A lot of dealers are saying Ford requires it on these and raptors. A lot of the dealers are just ordering what they want, and not taking in orders. Others are saying I can order and pay over MSRP. It's a nightmare. Do you know any dealers that aren't morons?

Yeah I still wish they gave consumers the option at least. The duel clutch does seem incredible, and I suppose I’m only not bummed out about it because I can take out one of the other manuals when I have that itch. But still, should’ve been offered.

Have a 2020 (twister orange / painted stripes ) with track pack and the car is actually a little boring. It is so well settled on the street and the dual clutch makes it so very easy to drive. Had a '14 GT500 tuned and heavily modified, that car wanted to kill you if you made the slightest mistake, provided alot of fizz, the 2020 not so much. Also worried about the carbon fiber wheels on the street , one pot hole and it $7500 out the door...
