Oh , how cute , Sori had it good. Things that my real mom told me
"i made you , i will kill you",
"Do what i tell you to do " then me saying "but it is wrong" followed by her "You never listen to me " proceeds to beat the shit out of me
Most of the time it was a power struggle , because she wasn't capable to explain to a young one why some things were done in her own way ( most of the times wrong )
I never laid a hand on her , but i remember vividly dreaming of beating the shit out of her .In fact i remember wishing to just die , because i was stuck in a place were i couldn't move / act , i couln't beat the person i loved , and i couln't defend myself.
Also there was the abusive things , were nothing i did was good , getting a 8 out of 10 at school was like "Why didn't you take a 10 , i cannot boast to my colleagues at work because you have so low grades " ( they weren't btw )
The permanent " you are not good enough" or " you will end up on the streets " , " you will end up feeding the pigs on a farm "
Anyway i'm now good with my mother , but the thing that made us chill was me leaving the house , settling with rent away from them , and lots of therapy !
Edit: The worse part is that all my friends had the same kind of mother in our childhood , so it is more common then you think ...
Wow.... U had it rough. I can't help but think I would've done nothing about it if I had the same problem. But today, I'm not taking any thing from anyone. I just keep the barrel loaded and stay away from most.
Did you ever think that you’re the problem and not your mother?
She gave you everything and worked all the time to keep a roof over your head and you’re basically acting like an ungrateful spoiled brat
You probably cry when she takes away your phone or makes you do homework too right?
These are not real problems, these are first world problems from spoiled kids
executor31 my mom abused me too for 11 years I'm 14 now and I gat made fun of at school
@@johnsreactions6658 providing the required food and shelter for your children isn't something you owe your parents for. You don't get a prize for not neglecting your kids.
@@johnsreactions6658 please enlighten us about your real problmes then, if you gonna shit on otherss? Jon's past is just normal, this guy is whining for nothing? But the way I see it you are acting like victim more than anyone,
you want to come off as stronger, but it just sounds like you are trying to one up them in victimhod. Like the feminazis who constantly whine how men have no real problems.
The video of JD recording the vocals of this song is just pure emotion. Had everyone in the studio in tears.
Every concert he gets very emotional on that one. Jonathan Davis has only had about two times where he couldnt finish it. I've been to every single texas and oklahoma korn concert since I was 9 . Well Since 98 values tour . Met Munky and fieldy twice they treat anyone like family . JD actually has massive social anxiety. Met JD just once issues tour and he creeped me out on purpose by staring me directly in the face while he put his finger in my ear and signed the rear of my puma shirt and laughed and just walked away. Damn I remember that too damn well .
I cry everytime I watch
I like how fieldy's lik "even rappers cry" like man shut the fuck up you just a shitty bass player not a rapper lmfao
@@dontpissoffraccoons you know he made a rap album? It was omg friend was it trash. The only one worth enjoying is the one with jon that was his ‘single’ from the album but it was trash and it makes sense because Fieldy as cool as he is will always in my memory be that fake rapper of the group. I remember seeing one of their ild home vids and it was shaved Fieldy back in the day ‘freestyling’ then saying the n word and I thought about his bio book how he dressed like the 80s hair metal bands then doing that? Korn is dope but their bassist is something else.
@@Thatguy-cf9qj when did you meet them?
Sori is wearing the Jonathan Davis jacket. Planned?
Nope! lol ! Crack right?
@@VinAndSori LOL crack
@@VinAndSori crack is whack
Sori you're dressed like JD in the 90s! How apt
Yasss I saw that too!
haha thats what I was thinking :P
i`ve never heard this before, such an emotional song, 10/10.
Absolutely my favourite korn album. His lyrics always hit so hard. This song meant a lot to me. It's too bad most of these lyric videos for korn though have the wrong lyrics (Which happens when the band releases no official ones).
There's a behind the scenes of Jon recording the breakdown of this song in studio, and everyone in the sound booth crying with fieldy saying "even rappers can cry" with tears down his face. "My favourite singer is in my band" or similar was said too.
Jonathan was so strung out and f'ed up in his head writing and recording this album. The pain in his voice is so present.
i think people need to remember that even if a song is a personal story - it doesnt mean every single word or lyric is exactly what it means. Syllables have to work, phrasing etc.
I agree, but I think everything in this song is true. He said he would have sexual fantasies about his stepmother and then fantasize about killing her after.
Great pick! This is one of my fav Korn songs. The main riff is eerie and haunting.
Same here 😊
This is the song I can relate to the most of all of Korns music. My Dad was my best friend and he got wrapped up with someone who took advantage of him and the rest of his family and he couldn’t see it. She was straight evil. I had heard this song beforehand and i didn’t understand what Jonathan felt until it really happened to me. And I can tell you, this situation really brings out the hate and pain in you. I would go into hysterical rages after she would do things to me or my Dad, she really knew how to twist the knife. Thanks for the reaction video!!
I was shocked when he said he didn’t like life is peachy maybe it’s not for every one. However if you are into heavy music that’s a must have
Besides their first album
4:58 - everyone’s reaction, all the time, forever when they hear this song.
I wanna thank these two for reaching to this song !! Bring back
Memories
@@erikjohnson395 They Bury Me
This song was meant to heal others who’ve been down similar circumstances. 💯 much love to Jon. Thanks for the upload and review, too.
You are mistaken Vin.... the hidden tracks were made to put on the dead end on the b-side where the album was not long enough to fill it. It was on the cassette....cassettes were the reason hidden tracks came about.
"Dirty" should be the next Korn song.
I've never seen a reaction to it..hmmm?
You guys are awesome. Love your conversations. God bless you both 💜
so much pure emotion. love these reactions - could you also do Lies, Helmet in the Bush, Good God, No Place To Hide, Justin, Seed, No Way, or any of these??
My mom got me Life is Peachy for Christmas when I was about 15-16. She didn't do her research. I didn't know much about Korn either at the time, just that the name was everywhere at school and that they were heavy. I think she got a bit worried once she actually heard the music. Didn't listen to it much until I explored the metal genre further and circled back around to this album to really appreciate it. Today, Korn's first two albums are treasures to me, highlighting their unique writing style before hitting it big and morphing into a more static formula.
Onto my suggestion:
Rivers of NIhil - Subtle Changes (my favorite song on the album)
This song is haunting and speaks with me on so many levels
omg thank you!! I was waiting for this song!
You guys are still awesome!! I wish u guys the best on the pregnancy and Sori is rocking the Old JD jacket for the occasion. ...I still love this channel...ty guys for the awesome reactions, time and good content you guys put out for us!
Thanks Again guys you are really on the same wave length as me lately. Hope all is happy and healthy for all your family 💜
Buckethead and NIN nice
You guys are blowing up I wish I could afford to financially support much love with the baby
Sick and Twisted was my first Korn concert. It was so awesome!
omg thats weird, it was uploaded today? :O My favourite KoRn Song!
Great review, keep up the good work! All the best with the new one.
Let's go lslanders
Imho, I think this song is even more raw than Daddy
It is.
Hey guys. I love your channel!!! It would be great if you guys could watch Parkway Drive dark days!!! It’s a great song with religious references and a deep message! Thanks keep up the vids!!!
Mashallah, Vin and Sori!
Love the channel guys keep it up!
he’d never do it he says how he feels as a therapeutic way to heal
Sori rocking the adidas stripes for this review!! Love it! On point 👌🏽💯 They actually stopped wearing adidas after this album because they signed an endorsement deal with Puma.
Great reaction video Vin&Sori
Do a reaction “ Korn - Good God “
Damn Vin, you nearly sounded like JD with that twist impression lol.
I know I suggested this before, but please check out some of the lesser known Korn songs!
Off the demo before Self titled (Neidermyer's mind:
Layla, This Broken Soul)
Camel song, I can Remember, Kick the P.A, Jingle Balls, Last Legal Drug
Last Legal Drug is one of my absolute favorite KoRn songs! Reaction vid plz!
I had a literal Evil Stepmother. Unfortunately everyone around me dismissed me as 'over dramatic'. Yet her own son compared her to Kathy Bates in Misery. It's a stereotype because it's common.
Unfortunately true. Glad you made it out sis
Thank y'all. Congratulations for Orion
That Good God from Life Is Peachy, best of classic Korn. Best.
I had a step-monster growing up and i remember i was afraid to listen to this because l didn’t want this thought process in my head.
This is basically pt2 to daddy and pt3 is my gift to you on follow the leader.
Hey you finally reacted to it definitely react to korn - are you ready to live
i had a cassette tape and this hidden track was in it... good reaction!
You two are great 🔥💥🔥💥👍
FINALLY!!!! lol. Such a crazy song. Love it!
I wish I didn't have a need for this song
Please bring "Rilo Kiley" Back with your reactions ! can start with "A Better Son/Daughter" I want to see Sori reacting to that. Hugs from Colombia !
One of my fave early Korn tracks for sure
A bit underrated perhaps
Twist reaction next please! Love you.
Static x - I'm with stupid or the only
in life it was his biological mother but he calls her his stepmom and says ur not my mother because no mother should just stand aside while these things happen to anyone
Revocation - Blood Atonement
Obscura - Septuagint
Impure Wilhelmina - Murderers
Peccatum - The Moribund People
The acapella version of Twist is the hidden track on Kill You, Kill You closes the album
4:05 Vin is looking... How are you gonna take it? 🤣🤣🤣 He knew the lyrics could land hard... 4:11 .... I'm on your side love, tuff lyrics 😂
I think Sori you will especially love this: It’s time you reviewed a second QUEENSRYCHE (another Seattle band) song. Vin loved ‘Eyes Of A Stranger’ last year. I recommend ‘Silent Lucidity’ their biggest hit. It went Top 10 in 91 and was nominated for Grammys and AMAs and nominated for 5 MTV Video awards, winning one, beating R.E.M.s Losing My Religion in the Viewers Choice category. It is a beautifully lush ballad with strings by Michael Kamen of Metallica fame as well as many film scores. The album Empire went triple platinum and is their biggest seller, even though ‘94’s Promised Land debuted at number 3 on Billboard. Queensryche is a band that deserves your attention. You will love it so much I think. Video is great too. Please use the studio version or official video version. No good quality live clips. Trust me. Sooo good.
Lost in the Static - After the Burial🔥🔥🔥
Arch Enemy - We Will Rise + Fields of Desolation (LIVE Tyrants of the Rising Sun 2008)
Megadeth - The Conjuring
Please more Cradle of Filth!!
-> Queen of Winter
-> anything from Dusk and her Embrace Album.
Vin please, you need to react to the lyrics, this stuff is completely unreached in the history of mankihd.
Could you react to evanescence like you, it's a really beautiful song and think sori will like it
Oh good suggestion. Hella underrated song. Haven't even seen it mentioned by even Evanescence fans.
Normally I wouldn't care much for more Evanescence reactions but if they do this song, I'd be legit excited for it.
I feel like we need something by Chris Cornell.
My pick would be "Flutter Girl" off his solo album "Euphoria Morning".
Helloween ☆ Keeper of the seven keys 🎃
React to Celtic Frost - Circle of the Tyrants
Please react to Periphery - satellites. Such an amazing song.
hes step mom use to put cigars out on his arm and lock him in cabinets when he was growing up this song was written for her
The Orphan Alliance knows what's up! Been wanting this song for awhile now.
Ah, the high school memories.
Unrelated to this video..but I've just watched you react to iron maidens the clansman..just to inform you, the drummer, is a born again Christian...he's a really nice bloke!!
Recommendation for you, considering you like metal. KMFDM-"Light" on their "Angst" album. I classify KMFDM as heavy metal techno, they are extremely intense and would fit right in with what you play, and "Light" is incredibly quick and hard. KMFDM stands for: "Kein Mitleid Fur Die Mehrheit", translated-"No Pity For The Majority". Another activist band like Rage Against The Machine. I own 12 of their albums and they are still putting them out.
Korn- No ones There
can yall react to bullet for my valentine (4 words, hand of blood, tears dont fall)
By the time this song starts in the album, you are already down the rabbit hole.
Kill You is accentually Life Is Peachy's Daddy. He got his demons out on the self titled album with Daddy which as you know is about sexual abuse from his older childhood friend and then with Kill You on Life Is Peachy (LIP) he got out his demons about his F'd up experience with his stepmom being emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. He had a pretty messed up childhood/teens but he showed them all. Now he's the vocalist in one of the biggest bands ever. I have to admit there's a part of me that really misses this style from Korn. Basically the first two albums. They are different from everything that follows. I still love the post LIP Korn but in a different way than pre LIP. It's so raw and real. Imagine finding the first Korn album at 12 years old! I was so creeped out by it that I just couldn't stop listening to it. I've always been drawn to things that scare me for some reason.
Born of Osiris- Recreate I would love to hear your opinion
The Cramps - Human Fly
You gotta admit that snare is amazing though
Some key lyrics in that video were wrong, but the message still gets across.
Architects // The Distant Blue "when we reached up to the sun, it only left us with scars"
Hey, you guys should do a reacting to Streetlight manifesto - A better place and a better time. It is not Rock, it is ska, but it has a very powerful message, so you might like it.
Also, link for the kill you and daddy recording of the lyrics? I can't find it on yt...
Can you do killing the Dragon by Dio since Game of Thrones is coming back that be cool promotion!!
I'd love to see a Scream of the butterfly by Acid Bath reaction.
If you can find it on UA-cam
doesn’t matter if ur a step mom or step dad u are supposed to love the one u love’s kids.it shouldn’t matter if they aren’t ur blood
Therapy? - a moment of clarity
Back before Korn wrote songs about twisted transistors. Gotta love LIP.
That's a great song
Suggestion: 'Visions of death' by New Keepers Of The Water Tower
09:04 "laa ilahailallah.." as a moslem , really ? hehehe cheers man. i really like your reaction video. so enthusiastic!
This is Jon ripping his heart out in a black hole. Fuck judging when you have power over someone. Its a call to love everyone.
Lookin good chip. Get it get it
Great reaction. Guys.
Ok when are you couples coming to childern of bodom
Please react to symphonic tribute children of bodom
Bed of razors!
@@mr.monroe4076 I know it's a good song but when you start off with COB it should be Everytime I die or Angels don't kill
9:06 that was actually pretty decent
My favorite darkest album
React to "JIJIJI” from INDIO SOLARI, plss, they're sure they re gonna have a lot of Argentine visits xd
Septicflesh-the vampire from Nazareth please
Good one for sure.
The face of Sori 😯
Just a suggestion for a reaction, "God Went North" or "Go to War" by Nothing More.
ouuuuu 4:00 4:20 that guy acting it so good ...it crack me up
Morbid Angel - Suffocation
U nailed twist lol
Anathema - dreaming light
Please do.......Sean Olson ...by Korn...it's a prequel to Daddy.....
Howd do they keep finding these lyric videos with the wrong lyrics?
Moonspell - Night Eternal
Although this song is about a step mother, when I listened to it back in school I applied it to my alcoholic father. I'd literally have dreams where I beat him to death for years up until my late 20s even though he died when I was 18 and my mother two years before that. I blame him for everything.
I'm sorry,I feel your suffering.I hope you are well.If not,I understsnd.You aren't alone.
