AMP HD Sport I installed had the bracket with three 9/64 holes to drill. Installed without taking off lenses. EZ install and very effective unit. I had board screwed together for a unit I had to take in and out of the truck. Effective, but heavy. Like the AMP much better.

does the bed extender prevent the tailgate from flapping up and down when it's open?

Is there an anti-theft lock available for this? It seems like the thief could easily just pull it out and walk away with it.

I noticed that you did not use any primer after drilling for the brackets. Is this because you have a spray-in bed liner?

Yes, it's also because live in Arizona and am not nearly as worried about rust as I was when I lived in Western New York and had to deal with road salt. Ultimately any paint on the freshly drilled surface would be smart, you just caught me cutting corners not caring because of where I live.

With the spray in bed liner - which center punch position did you use from the template to drill your holes? One is for a drop in bed liner and one is for no bed liner. Assuming the spray in liner falls somewhere in between the 2 options.

Bill Kennedy I went with the no bed-liner I believe. The spray in liner is much thinner and form fitting than those drop ins.

Can the bed extender be removed or stolen when its not extended and the tailgate is shut and locked with a key?

No. The hinges only allow removal when it is at about a 45 degree angle in the open position. If the tailgate is locked and closed it couldn’t be removed at all.

Are you sure you can put 4x8 sheets in there? that curved corner looks like it cuts it off.

+Crazyfootballguy Yes, the plywood fits between the wheel wells, the corners cut basically in the same footprint of the wheel wells where the plywood wouldn’t be. Also with a 6.5 foot bed you get 6’-8 1/2” to the tailgate so you only need to use 1’-3 1/2” of he tailgate which is approximately 1’-9” which also means the radius portion is out of the way. Hope that helps. If you have the 5’-8” bed then your SOL.

That Tonneau cover was the LUND Genesis Elite amzn.to/2RkXSSD. Just check and make sure its the right model for whichever truck you own. I rocked that cover for a few years and it was incredible.

Never hold a torque wrench the way you are in this video always hold it by the handle. The torque will not be correct holding I your way.
