I for one truly dig this setup for my rig.
For one I don’t need a top for all seasons. Two I only need something to cover my totes and other gear from the elements while on trips towing the toy hauler and last but not least I can take it off myself without the need of a crane!
As far as security is concerned I either keep my expensive stuff in the vehicle or locked up in the toy hauler itself.

I had a “Softtopper” (different company) for 10 years on my Ridgeline. I thought it was great. Easily removed and stored when not needed, and quick to re-install when you need a covered bed. The read “window” cracked during a frigid winter, but only $75 to replace. I currently have a 2016 F150 and will be comparing this model to the Softopper. So far, I like the Softtopper better... but I’ll withhold judgement until they release one for the F150.

Having run at least a couple dozens soft tops on Jeeps (first couple Whitco all the rest Bestop) Bronco and Samurai, the weak link are the stupid nylon zippers. Back in the 60’s and early 70’s they all used brass zippers. You would wear the top out before the zippers went South. Now the zippers are gone (no matter how careful you are in maintenance) long before the top, windows ect are shot on tops and the truck toppers. Built in obsolescence because replacing zippers is pretty darn close to buying a new top/topper. Great video, not so great topper.

If you're going into Bear Country, would you camp in a soft top convertible, or would you take a truck/SUV or car with an all enclosed metal side? The problem with many guys is that ... They poo the notion of a soft top camper shell that "IS NOT" supposed to go into dangerous areas. Much of what I see is for the folks who want to do some light overlanding, or come camping with the grandkids or just traveling through states and sleep in motels.
However I'll say this, I wouldn' buy this product since it looks too complicated to install and to take down. Plus another issue is the rear window area, in the Super Top version, they use velcro to keep the rear window secured along with the tailgate bar, which is even designed to allow the bar to pass through, and secure on the rear hooks. And "NO" I don't work for Super tops, but i've seen enough of their videos to think about buying their product rather than the product put out by 'BestTop"....

Seems like folding it is easier than putting it back. I wouldn’t want to hold up the rear window while trying to line up the zipper.

I used one on a Silverado. They're better than nothing but I wouldn't recommend one. You lose a lot of visibility, it leaked in the rain, and a pain to use. It may be practical for some, but I didn't care for it.

Bestops don’t even make that great of soft tops for jeeps. This just looks like a waste of time and money.

Realistically I would rip this off after a month and throw it in the garbage. It reminds me of a jeep soft top. So many zippers and velcro. Great for summer only vehicles in a clean atmosphere. Add salt or dust and mud to that and it's gonna be a problem.

I like this idea, I'd get one today if they were priced what they should be. Like a couple hundred or something. 8 or 9 hundred for canvas isn't appealing.

A tarp and some strings and or bungees cords are cheaper than this. The rear so called back plastic glass will be scratched up in no time making it almost impossible to look out the back of the truck.

ill be honest id like if there was a hard fiber glass topper that i can fold away but also fold and secure it behind my truck. i fear when guys might use a knife to cut this kind of topper and steal stuff. would be nice if there was a fiberglass foldable topper available
