Naturally this video came out 5 months ago so the info has been updated since but for anyone interested yes there are a few delivery missions primarily its gonna be supplies to support the expeditions we are going on....but they've also updated the means of applying add-ons to tge trucks most of with will require a "flatbed" be placed first and then the add-on its self like sideboards to haul cargo or a platfrom to place a repair module or fuel metal detectors and so on...as of right now i believe the sysmic viberator is one of the addons that does not first require a flat bed. The metal detector has different colors because it can be used to find gear like tge new jack or mobile winch anchors out int the wild and id imagine upgrades could be found the same way....the depth meter was from mudrunner but yes was missing from snowrunner mistake as is was given the depth of water in snowrunner far outdid mudrunner.
They've also made it clear that each map will have a limit of 4 trucks you can outfit and load into each expedition but no garage to change mid mission and canceling will cost money as you will have to pay a set amount to set out for each expedition....im hoping this will mean there is some kind of free roam or adjustable settings for free play but idk at the moment
I wonder if we`ll be able to get out of our vehicles and have to manually interact with things like the winch, remove the anchor from it`s storage, manually walk upto the desired location and install and hook upto it, and than put it away again, and even just get out to use the binoculars
It's certainly an interesting thought, and who knows, but if I were to bet on it though, I'd say the 'no legs' aspect of game will still hold true - binoculars used from with the vehicle seat, and anchors are cast forward like the winch attachments to trees...except you use one of your anchors. I will also say that so many times I would of liked to get out my truck and just walk 20-30 in front of my vehicle to see how muddy the ground was or something. In farming simulator you spend 90+ percent of your time in a vehicle also, but still can get out to do little bits here and there - I think it would add to a more immersive experience in Expeditions, and maybe even would open up more gameplay to have some things be 'hands-on'. Great thought provoking comment!
@@Oearth I`m absolutly not counting on it being a thing either, it was just a wild thought that came into my mind when I saw the binocular mechanic, that just kind of made sense to me, and this would be the perfect opportunity to implement such a thing since it would open gameplay options
I wanted to provide the full audio and narrative of the original trailer at the end, but UA-cam had a copyright issue with that, so I had to overdub with my own music. It happens!
I did stop playing SnowRunner a loooong ago because of the arcadish and unrealistic driving feeling, it was very disappointed by the flawed physics. Instead I keep revisiting Spintires and MudRunner, realism was the first thing that brought me to tgis game around 2010
About the backwards compatibility concerns: if it is true that they are using the same mudrunner engine, remember thay this is a powerful yet very very old engine, so there is no need to drop the old consoles

hopefully with character customization or an opportunity to get out of the vehicle to look around
Love the terrain variety!
I haven’t played the previous ones, this looks really really fun though.
