You are about a *mole times better* than my chem teacher. (...do you see what I did there?) My chem teacher thinks that vaguely explaining a powerpoint and then assigning a 60 problem homework assignment is teaching.

I failed chemistry in high school. Attempted chemistry twice in college, withdrew both times. Finally on my third attempt at chemistry I found Tyler Dewitt's videos. Passed the class with an A. Never got less than a 96 on a test.
This guy is worth his weight in gold. He's a true educator. My chemistry professor could not explain these concepts no wear nearly as well as Tyler Dewitt does.

Okay so let me tell you how good of a teacher Tyler is. I came here, for one thing, and it had absolutely nothing to do with moles. He then made this all sound so fascinating to me (a 15-year-old, that has no interest in chemistry whatsoever) want to watch more of his videos for things I don't need to learn, but what I am genuinely interested in learning about now. THAT is what you call a good teacher

Tyler, I am older and have gone back to school. I specifically wanted the "in person" experience and now the pandemic has taken us all online and it's my first class in 25 years and in a TOTALLY different field than I have been in. We are so challenged with technology failing and being unable to ask questions or do labs. I get really overwhelmed. My teacher tries but I am unable to absorb the material the way he teaches it. He makes it even more foreign. Then I find your vids...and the way you get so thrilled sharing science with us...and your anticipation of what our questions would be...and the insight to remind us of the building blocks leading to your topic....and I'm just SO VERY grateful for you and the extensive vids you have produced. I would be failing instead of making A's if it weren't for you. Thank you for the clarity and love you put into each one. Thank you for making my life SO much more.....MORE. Blessings on your punkin' head! (PS. I subscribed )

    Key points
    1) Mole is like a dozen
    2) Mole value : 612,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, Dozen value : 12
    3) Through law of indices 1 mole is 6.12 x 10^23 or 612 hexillion
    4) It is also called Avogadro's number
    5) Mole is quite big but a mole of atoms is less like half a bowl.
    Hope you liked it .

I know there are some folks who may try and discourage you from your technique of explanation. Please do not pay attention to them. You are explaining things as real objects instead of most scientists and mathematicians whom explain things in terms of concepts and have immense difficulty in relating their ideas to actual things - which is what science is, the study of THINGS.
