    I'm going to be honest... Whenever I watch a chemistry video, I always click off within 4-5 minutes, it just gets so boring. But with this guy, I didn't even notice that I had watched a 30-minute video talking about Electrolysis without any pause. This guy has to be the best teacher I've seen. Keep it up :)

      Hey Tyler,
      I understand that there are 2 hydrogen molecules for every oxygen molecule in H20 but why would the volume of hydrogen be twice the volume of oxygen? Doesn't oxygen have a larger molecule size, so it takes up more space (and therefore more volume)?

    You need to seriously make more videos involving the more advanced general chemistry concepts. I'm the top chemistry student at my University, and can honestly say I wouldn't be number one if I haven't found your videos.
    Plus, I even changed my major to chemistry due to the strong foundation you have paved for me; you seriously changed my life, Tyler. Thank you!

    never gonna lie, i have never seen such a video ever. Personally i would have never watched a 30 minutes every in my life especially on studies but this is justttt eliiiiiteeee. The happiness the man has and the way he's enjoying whatever he is teaching, is just mind blowing. I can't even believe that this video is 8 YEARS OLD. uffff its soooo good.
    i have seen many video on electrolysis but then all of these videos make electrolysis even harder to understand however this person started teaching from scratch to make it easier for us to understand. Thank u sooo much

    I am a student from shenzhen colledge international school, and I found out that listening to this youtube is so efficient! Like Tyler don't have the "special voice" or" fun activities" like our teacher did, but I just understand all of the things that I need to know from him! And now feeling board!!     Well done! My son got a chemistry kit for Christmas and the first experiment was electrolysis of water into hydrogen and oxygen. The kit had almost no explanation of the chemistry and this was a lovely supplement to a fun experiment.

    This man, not only looks like my old high school chemistry teacher but also make difficult chemical reactions as clear as wearing an eyeglass. It's been more than 50 years since I took AP chemistry course in high school, but all this memory come alive as if I learned it few day ago. He is highly talented instructor, just as most of the old school public school teachers.

    Honestly, this guy made my doubts clear under 12 minutes. I was confused about the discharge thingy, but as he mentioned Oxidation and Reduction I quickly understood what to do! Tyler DeWitt for the W!!

    Thank you sooo much!!! I never thought I'd ever understand electrolysis so easily but you did it, you made me understand. I also want to appreciate you for the time you spent making all those little flash cards stuff you put all the information on, a lot of time would have been sacrificed on that, thank you.and i also loved the fact that your love for what you do was so evident especially when you smiled in this encouraging manner.     I have been searching for videos on UA-cam that explain electric chemistry but I have found nothing useful of them. And fortunately, I found your video and I quickly said this video is gonna provide me with as many information as I want to learn.
    What made me say that your video is the best for me to understand electric chemistry is that I have watched your videos about significant figures, and after I watched them, I didn't get disappointed.

    One of the best chemistry lectures ever. Not only does it make the concepts clear but you also enjoy watching it. Who knew chemistry could be so fun? I really like his way of teaching. Its very unique and a great method to get student engaged. This was 8 years ago. This man is a genius. Electrolysis is a very technical and a little complex topic especially for average students. Most students think they understand everything but its not always like that. But he made the topic so much easier. He explained everything so well. The diagrams, the equations the processes. I love it.

    Thanx alot sir! This helped me a lot during my paper.. I always use the stories u tell and that totally works in my case..thnxx a lot.. just cuz of u I got A grade in chemistry. .. I wish i was ur student..I really need a professor like ya!
