How do you adjust for having shallow sand vs "normal" sand? My problem with shallow sand is the club bounces off the dirt beneath the sand, then into the ball, and the ball goes flying out with way too much speed and distance.
Good question. We have several courses here in Southern Utah that have hard packed sand. If your courses have shallow sand, I would advise you to have a sand wedge with less bounce... maybe 6 to 8 degrees and then I don't open the face as much and I don't aim as far left. You need to get a little more leading edge involved. It's definitely a little harder than soft sand.
Very nice.
Thank you.
