This is one of the middle models of the excellent Technics SA series receivers. Bright sound, superb condition (like new), fantastic looks. Great for a small room or bedroom. Walnut cabinet grain finish (faux) carefully refreshed. Beautiful specimen of the Golden Age of Japanese Stereo.

They do sound amazing. But as I stated above, this is my third one and all of them have had horrible issues with volume knobs cutting out. have to spin the knob back and forth several times until the balance finally evens out on both the left and right channels.

Im on my third one, (first and second backup were lost in house fire) and all of them have the same issue. The volume knob has to be sprayed out with lots of deoxit, and eventually even weeks later I have to lock the volume in one place and use the volume on my focusrite going into it to turn it up and down. Used to use my tapedeck in record mode back in the day to do the same.
Anyone else have this issue and been able to fix it for good? Also my relay is failing now and and I just leave the power on 24/7 because the speaker selector fails on startup about 80% of the time and eventually will stop working. Any help from anyone that has self repaired these things is welcome! :)
Sorry to hear about your troubles with the receiver. Mine does not have these issues. Sometimes resistors may become sandy, but that's it.

5150 старше и не так певуч. Но зачем вам чужое мнение, если вам звук нравится? У меня много аппаратов, у которых нет супер высокой репутации, но меня они устраивают
duboweek это тот случай когда понимаешь что могло быть и лучше , но этому нет придела и довольствуется реальным аппаратом , новым новым
