Be sure to check out the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan, they have Lincoln's chair, and Rosa Parks's Bus among lots of other goodies. Oh and an Oscar Meyer Wienermobile
The James Dean Run that happens in Fairmount every year is a really great event. Don't know if you've been, but it's a lot of fun. Might want to be around for it once.
Man, I tell ya...."The Daily Woo" has made some leaps & bounds. First with the cool editing...and now with the, Majestic, and the narration that goes along with it, is awesome. (See Adam? I pay attention, lol). Great job brother!! Hurry up and get to, Cleveland...so you can do a video on "The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame". I've never been there. I get these places, through your videos. Keep rockin' my friend. 🎸🎸🎸
Very cool vlog. I was obsessed with James Dean and Morrissey as a teenager. I remember reading all about his life in Fairmount. It's really cool to see it documented.
Hey Adam Fairmount is near New Castle, I think you would enjoy it there. Make sure to visit the art center park my grandpa and I spent time building that wooden bridge.
Very cool on the statues. If you ever get back to CA theres a James Dean memorial on highway 46 where he crashed. Not sure if you have a video on that :)
While you were there you should have gone a few miles up the road to Marion to James Dean's birthplace. The house was torn down decades ago and the lot used to be the Goodyear Tire Store parking lot, but the last time I was there they sill had a monument there.
the siren could have been a tornado siren being tested. but also volunteer fire departments used to use them to alert volunteers of a fire. and some towns still have them.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing. Just imagine what all James Dean would've done if he hadn't died at such a young age, the 3 movies he did were all very good, and very different. Sad to have lost someone so young and talented! I think at the end of your video, what with the stink eye you were getting from Zoey, she was saying, "Vlog Over.":)
I know David the owner of that James Dean Gallery. I remember when he first got that gate. He was in Los Angeles documenting film locations and to his surprise that home was replacing that fence and gate at that time. His partner in the business is Lenny. I have not seen them in close to 20 years.
Cool video, especially liked the drone footage, the drone really adds to the videos. In 1988 when Bob Dylan was playing Indianpolis he motorcycled to Fairmount on his own and got the local cops in the middle of the night to wake up the Dean museum's owner to show him round the exhibits.
I started the video and was immediately crushed. Seriously, nice intro Adam the Woo, you can hold a note for a long time. Kinda sad to see that High School torn down though, that was one of the first videos I watched when I subscribed to the channel. Nothing but memories now, and a massive pile of debris, hate to be the one to clean that up. Thanks for the video, and take care.
Haha! Love the ending! I just love your travels. I just saw your other video when you visited these sites. I love all this cool history and you make it interesting.
No water bottle crushing today. Now I know why I crushed mine driving home tonight, while singing, "It's the Daily Wooooooo." I think I've been watching too much Adam the Woo. But how can that be? One daily vlog is never enough!
Loved The Smiths in the 80s! The Morrissey story and museum sign-in are so cool! Not to mention the whole James Dean vlog, which was awesome! I had a poster of James in my college dorm room...so handsome! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Adam, these daily vlogs are great. Really interesting and informative. You deserve to have a show on the History channel touring around the US, Europe and the world!
Several years ago, in the late 80's, I used to write to (pen-pal) Jimmy's high school biology teacher....Hugh Caughell, a lovely, elderly gentleman, who had some great Jimmy stories from Jim's high school years. My daughter and I also got to ride in the '49 black Merc used in "Rebel". I sat right where Natalie Wood sat. (At the time, the car was located in the Harrah's Auto Museum, in Sparks, NV.) We had a special invitation from the 'boss' of the museum to come down early, before the museum opened, to see the car. (We'd travelled far to come see that car and we were told it wasn't available for viewing, as it was being used by the Grand Marshall of a parade that day.) Needless to say, we were mighty disappointed. That's when we were told to, 'Be at the museum early the next day and ask 'for the boss'.) We got a special viewing by the car's own mechanic. We tooled around the parking lot with the biggest smiles you ever saw!....A devoted, (but old!) Jimmy fan! Thanks, Adam for the memories! Love the pooches!
I don't know about other places, but I live in Columbus, Ohio and every Wednesday at noon the tornado sirens go off as a weekly drill. Maybe that's what the siren you were hearing was?
Hey Adam I'm a huge Dean fan.... I was in LA in May and visited a couple spots where they filmed rebel. The opening scene where Jimmy is laying on the ground with the monkey, and also rebel alley when he Jim first talks to Judy. I have the videos on my page. I live about 2 hours south of Fairmount and visit there quite often. Enjoyed your video. Thanks
Have you been to Cholame, CA where James Dean died? I was driving from LA on the 5 freeway and I needed to cut through to get to the 101 on the way to SF. It wasn't until I got halfway to Cholame, CA and saw the flowers and memorial that I realized it was where he was killed. Kind of creepy. Also hear that the car he died in is mysteriously missing and that everyone that came in contact with it or the parts from it has had some kind of misfortune.
All your videos are great.i watch every one of them.keep up the videos from around America,I am from Ontario Canada and don't get to see all the places you visit
there are only a few people I make sure I watch every day after work, you Mr Adam the woo are number one on that list. keep up the good work sir. And I can't wait to meet you again 🤓
This is actually the third of this bust of James Dean that the sculptor Kenneth Kendall produced. One was given to the Griffith Observatory and other to Fairmount . Shortly after the original bust given to Fairmount was installed near the cemetery it was stolen. Local lore is that one of Dean’s schoolmates was jealous of his success, so he removed the bust and left it in a nearby landfill. Kendall then produced another copy of the bust for Fairmount, which is seen here. The bust came about when Dean saw a bust of Marlon Brando in the window of Kendall's studio, he admired it so much he arranged to meet Kendall and told him that he hoped one day Kendall would sculpt him. Kendall wasn't impressed by Dean at first but then before he left Dean gave the artist a look that Kendall would later refer to as "the whammy" and Kendall was forever hooked. Seeing Dean in East of Eden further impressed Kendall. He was amazed that he actually knew Dean and that he wanted him to create a work of art immortalizing him. Kendall told Dean he needed a life mask for the sculpture. After Dean’s death a copy of his life mask for Kendall (cast during the filming of “Giant”) was found in his Sherman Oaks residence. Kendall then used the life mask to create the sculpture Dean had wanted.
@Adamthewoo - I have to tell u a cool thing! I have always wanted to see Indiana cuz my parents lived there before I was born. My older sister was born there. I, of course, would love, even more, to see the town they lived in. So when u said u were moving to IN I was so excited. Then when I watched u in Lafeyette the other day I thought "gee I wonder how close my parents were to here. Oh probably way off." So I asked my Dad last night and he told me they lived in Lafeette! While he was a student at Perdue University! So I cannot thank u enough for fulfilling one of my long term dreams! I might not have ever seen it otherwise. U r simply the best!
Would you mind if I left a link to a great new book about James Dean that collects the first-person accounts of Dean from his friends, family, and co-stars?
Hey Adam! The tornado sirens going off is to usually test them to make sure they are working. And to let you know that it's 12 noon. It's very common in small towns.
Adam, in the county I used to live in here in Indiana the tornado sirens were tested every day at noon. The first Saturday of the month they went off in 3 separate cycles. Always a joy on the first Saturday in May, aka the town wide garage sale.
James' headstone was actually stolen once and was recovered in Lafayette,IN. Also,Jim Davis was born in Fairmount. But he created Garfield in Muncie after he graduated from Ball State University. The loveable cat was the start of Paws Inc located just outside Muncie, near Davis's home.
Nice video. It was nice to see all the sites I saw around 15 years ago when I was there. I even parked in the high school parking lot for the car show. During the weekend event I got to meet Bill Haley and his Comets after I watched them play "Rock around the clock." Live history of the real band that played the hit that stayed number one on the charts for over an entire year. I will never forget.
Very good video, but it was really sad to find out that they demolished the old High School. I was there years ago and there was an effort to save it. Joined an internet group that was trying to restore it called "Friends of Fairmont High' and even donated money to it. Now I know why they no longer have an internet site. I'm sure there were a lot of people that were sad to see it go. Well...RIP JD and Fairmont High. :(
Keep up the great videos. I knew you'd do good once you were on the road. I don't get to travel so it's really nice to get to see places on these video. Nice little dogs to. Really like the brown one. Cute when she looks up at you, and the camera.
Hey Adam! That siren that went off during today's vlog sounds exactly like the one we have here in lanesboro ma. Ours is to alert the volunteer fire dept of a call. Maybe it's used for the same thing? Whatcha think? Keep up all the great work buddy. Always makes my day better after I get my daily fix of wooooooooooo!!!!! Thanks for everything man!!!
I use to be a caregiver and I was a caregiver to one of James Deans friends before he became a star . It was so cool to see a picture of James Dean in her house
Another terrific video! Welcome back to Grant Co! Keep up the good work. Hope you got to revisit the James Dean birthplace in Marion. They've redone corner with a memorial since your last video.
I live fifteen minutes from here! Glad to see you're back in the area. The tornado sirens were going off to test them. Indiana towns do this once a week usually.
Hopefully this comment gets a "Fair Mount" of thumbs ups
I see what you did there 1:01
Very punny
Be sure to check out the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan, they have Lincoln's chair, and Rosa Parks's Bus among lots of other goodies. Oh and an Oscar Meyer Wienermobile
That pun was..... MAJESTIC!
The intro and the outro of this one had me cracking up
The James Dean Run that happens in Fairmount every year is a really great event. Don't know if you've been, but it's a lot of fun. Might want to be around for it once.
It's a real shame they torn down that old school, should have restored it.
I find these types of vlogs (exploring celebrity history) fascinating. Thank you!
Man, I tell ya...."The Daily Woo" has made some leaps & bounds. First with the cool editing...and now with the, Majestic, and the narration that goes along with it, is awesome. (See Adam? Had no idea he was buried there. I will have to visit someday. Thanks for sharing!
They should of preserved James deans high school!
Very cool vlog. I was obsessed with James Dean and Morrissey as a teenager. I remember reading all about his life in Fairmount. It's really cool to see it documented.
On my way to the beach in California I always pass the James Dean memorial where he died.
Adam great peek at small town America. So many unsung heros in this circle of goodness.Rock on
Hey Adam Fairmount is near New Castle, I think you would enjoy it there. Make sure to visit the art center park my grandpa and I spent time building that wooden bridge.
I talked to Lenny at the James Dean Gallery about your video back in October. You rock, Adam,
Cool seeing James Dean memorabilia.
Adam I think you're going to miss those sweet animals when you hit the road again.
I sure would.
Very cool on the statues. If you ever get back to CA theres a James Dean memorial on highway 46 where he crashed. Not sure if you have a video on that :)
That is the 3rd or 4th headstone at his grave site, I grew up about 35 miles from there and visited it often when I was a teen.
What I find as so cool I see no graffiti! That's the difference between a small town and a big city in America. Great video Adam!!
While you were there you should have gone a few miles up the road to Marion to James Dean's birthplace. The house was torn down decades ago and the lot used to be the Goodyear Tire Store parking lot, but the last time I was there they sill had a monument there.
Great vid bud! James Dean was great such a cool museum u hit up with all those props and his personal belonging's. I gotta go there one day
Did u go 2 it?
the siren could have been a tornado siren being tested. but also volunteer fire departments used to use them to alert volunteers of a fire. and some towns still have them.
this is the coolest vlog site,i have learned so much, thank you.keep up the great stuff.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing. Just imagine what all James Dean would've done if he hadn't died at such a young age, the 3 movies he did were all very good, and very different. Love love love your videos. Always look forward to them when I get ready in the morning. thanks Adam!
Haha! Love the ending! I just love your travels. I just saw your other video when you visited these sites. I love all this cool history and you make it interesting.
We went from yesterday having the shortest intro ever to today having longest intro ever :) As always, great video Adam...
I like to mix it up
I was laughing while he was woo-oooooooooo-ing! :)
Great Video Adam, thank you for uploading I'm a huge James Dean fan...
it's so sad to see the school is now gone. Thanks for the video.
You have a long breath.
Thank you for sharing the information of James Dean
LOL! Adam whispers, "Zoey, put your head down." Dog hears, "Zoey, phhdfoht hsdbleg ahdow." :)
Great vid, Adam. Two thumbs up. Thanks for sharing.
When you don't edit the original content in places that you point out, it means nothing to me. When you do, it's absolutely amazing.
No water bottle crushing today. Now I know why I crushed mine driving home tonight, while singing, "It's the Daily Wooooooo." I think I've been watching too much Adam the Woo. But how can that be? One daily vlog is never enough!
James Dean is my great great uncle!!
cheers for doing this video..
Good Video Bro , I come to Fairmount all the time , i',m here right now on vacation , awesome video !!!!!!!
They often do noon times tornado siren drills, usually at the beginning of the month. Welcome to the midwest.
Loved The Smiths in the 80s! The Morrissey story and museum sign-in are so cool! Not to mention the whole James Dean vlog, which was awesome! I had a poster of James in my college dorm room...so handsome! Thanks for sharing!
The best part of waking up... Is Adam The Woo in the morning! I just can't get enough of this show!
If you want to watch it chronologically, or see the best hits, I've got playlists pointing to all the TDW & ATW videos.
Same here!!!!! : )
+Avery Index awesome, thanks.
Love James Dean. It was cool to see how things changed since you were last there. Glad you got to show the highschool before it was torn down!
I plan on visiting Fairmount every labor day weekend on my way home from Indy. I was there last year- very interesting town.
sent you a pic of the class room billboard not the blackboard wish i had a shot of it ..
Adam the tornado siren go off when it hits noon... always check your watch when the siren goes off
Hey Adam, these daily vlogs are great. Really interesting and informative.
You deserve to have a show on the History channel touring around the US, Europe and the world!

That was an intense Woo to wake up to haha
I don't know about other places, but I live in Columbus, Ohio and every Wednesday at noon the tornado sirens go off as a weekly drill. Maybe that's what the siren you were hearing was?
the siren was either a test of the tornado siren or it was how they call the volunteer firemen to the station .
Kerry Ward nope as I live in a small town I'm betting it was the noon whistle. Goes off every day right at 12 noon.
Love these looks into the small towns of Indiana. They could be in any state in America.
Great job Adam, as usual.
Hey Adam I'm a huge Dean fan.... I was in LA in May and visited a couple spots where they filmed rebel. Drill for tornadoes. Usually more popular in the south to do a monthly drill. Random siren.

Such a shame the school couldn't have been made into a museum. Don't tell Morrissey it's gone.
All your videos are great.i watch every one of them.keep up the videos from around America,I am from Ontario Canada and don't get to see all the places you visit
I would say there's so much more content in the Daily Vlog that it could be the Main Channel now.
but its not , ha
+adamthewoo but it is now
Small towns seem so weird. When the major cities are all burnt out radioactive shells, everyone will be moving to them!
there are only a few people I make sure I watch every day after work, you Mr Adam the woo are number one on that list. keep up the good work sir. And I can't wait to meet you again 🤓
Lots of detail in that bust of James Dean. Two thumbs up.
Great video dude! Dean is one of my favorites!
thanks for watching Ryan
love Rebel without a cause! great video as always Adam :D
me too, the props from the film were so cool
That original James Dean video is my all time favorite from you ! There is a good movie on Netflix about Dean called Life !
the way that Zoey looks at you is priceless😂. I was watching some of your older vlogs last night and you are progressing alot. I love your vlogs.
Love seeing famous peoples home towns! Thanks for sharing Adam
Hey Adam, I'm a huge fan of your videos, keep up the good work man!!!!!
👍 James Dean is the original hands down king of cool.

That cracks me up every time!
I use to be a caregiver and I was a caregiver to one of James Deans friends before he became a star . It was so cool to see a picture of James Dean in her house
I was there 20 years ago. Still looks the same. So cool. I wish I had snuck into the school back then before they tore it down.
Another terrific video! Welcome back to Grant Co! Keep up the good work. Hope you got to revisit the James Dean birthplace in Marion. They've redone corner with a memorial since your last video.

most cities in the midwest test the tornado siren on the first saturday of the month at 1 pm
