Jordan so glad you have shown jimmy’s belongs when he was a child and a teen , loved seeing all of jimmy’s belongings I have been a fan all my life. Amazing he only made 3 films but impacted the world, he was so loved by his family but by his fans around the world. I adored him , he was a phenomenal actor my favorite movie was East of Eden but all 3 are iconic films thank you Jordan love your channel. Rest In Peace Jimmy , you were so loved.
James was 12 years old when he played football with my grandma and her brother. James gave my Gram a shiner and we have a picture of her 14 yr old self with the black eye. James was born in Marion, Indiana. He mentioned to my gram he didn’t like being called Jimmy because of the Jimmy Dean sausages 😅 James was my 2nd cousin.
This was truly impressive. It speaks, not only of James Dean's character and history, but of the loving family unit that surrounded him throughout his life. Jordan, thank you for sharing all these amazing places we would never be able to visit. Tremendous episode.
This is an amazing museum of a true Americana iconic legend. James Dean's family loved him in life, and after his death. This is a beautiful tribute to him from his family and town.
I think next to Elvis James Dean must have one of the largest collections of personal items that have been preserved and thank god for that! Thank you too Jordan for showing us, I have been curious about the new museum.
I eat at the restaurant across the street from the spot of his birth home in Marion when I travel in town. Never thought much about him until I worked in the area. Went to pay my respects at his burial site last fall. Very cool Jordan!
James Dean lived his life the way a lot of men can only dream of, he lived it on his own terms. I have the same picture from Giant hanging on my wall. There will never be another James Dean.
When you live Down Under 🙃 it’s not easy to see these things in person, so I’m happy so many places let you film for us. I’m pleasantly surprised how much they have to look at. Thanks Jordan ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
This really shows how his family took good care of him, to keep all his things for so long after he passed away. I must have been hard. This is the best museum to anyone I have seen.
Thanks for continuing with videos on James Dean. I got to talk with Nicholas Ray in the early seventies. It was obvious that Dean remained a continuous presence in the life of the director of Rebel Without a Cause. Many amazing stories.
Wow! That's an awesome museum! Such an incredible collection of artifacts of Jimmy's life. I'm so glad so much of it still exists. I'm sure there will be even more amazing things yet to be added. I agree, the sign outside needs to be much bigger!
Jordan, we have had many incredible journeys trough the years! However, the James Dean series have been absolute masterpieces!! Thank you for your devotion to his memory and family!!
Rest in peace Jimmy. What wonderful things the new museum has to offer. Love seeing Jimmy's crib. Thank you for bringing us here and letting us see what the museum has to offer. I never would have been able to see it otherwise. Take care and be safe.
That was amazing, set up very well. He died so young but looks like he lived a very full life while he was here. I was only 5 when he died so it took me years to discover him & his talents.
You never cease to amaze me with the content of your videos. I have always been a James Dean fan and you presented things that I never knew existed about James Dean. You are a true master my friend!!!
My favorite video of yours so far!!! Thank you! My family is from the Muncie/New Castle, IN area, so not far. My grandma was born less than four months before James Dean, and get this… my great grandmas married name was Mildred Wilson, and she was a Quaker. Jimmie’s mother’s maiden name was Mildred Wilson, and I believe her family was Quaker as well.
I been to his hometown 2 years ago during James Dean festival Seen his grave hope I'll be back to Indiana next year for 70th anniversary of his death & see new museum
After traveling to Switzerland to Chaplin's World, I gotta say this is one of the best celebrity museums I've ever seen. Hope to see it in person one day. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this fantastic video. James Dean left us way too soon. I often wonder how many more amazing movies he would of accomplished. Such a talented, creative James Dean. "One-of-a-kind- ✨️star✨️." God bless, ✨️"James Dean."✨️
Great Vlog Jordan! We visited the museum two years ago after watching your earlier vlogs on James Dean. Thanks for the tour of the new location; we will be visiting next year for sure!
Super cool....ive been there before but not that museum...looks like alotnof new stuff since ive been in the town..now I want to revisit...great video Jordan
*Great video Jordan.* Thanks for Sharing it with us. I used to drive past the spot wear Jimmy lost his life all the time when I was a teenager. I lived in Morro Bay Ca. 50+ miles from where the crash was but my good friend lived only afew miles from the accident intersection several miles outside Paso Robles Ca. which is 19 miles from the intersection. We had driven past that spot so many time but we never knew it until 20+ years later after I had moved far away. There isn't a big marker out there so unless you know, you don't know. After what gone on at the cemetery. *I really hope the building has a Top of the Line Security System protecting it.*
Welcome back to Indiana. I had been waiting for someone to vlog this. Sounds like Marcus is still doing well. I think another barn interview with him would be cool. Seems to me that we saw that tractor back then. Thank you!
Thanks for a really great episode, Jordan! Enjoyed it. Would love to see the museum in person. Had no idea of Dean's extensive art portfolio, though I do remember seeing a photo of him sculpting. I'll have to watch the vid again and spend more time savoring everything. Be fun to have the various people who knew James Dean at the race tracks make videos or audios of their reminisces and share their photos, if there are any. Years ago I knew a fellow in California who spoke of him warmly, having met at various tracks. The other racers respected Dean's privacy and didn't go around being intrusive or taking lots of snapshots of him, thinking, perhaps, there would be plenty of opportunities to do so. His end was so tremendously shocking. I was in 8th grade and recall the other students talking in the halls about the accident. He was one of a kind.
Wow the museum is so very beautiful, I really appreciate him so much because I can draw portraits as well , I love his art work he was so talented person and a tremendous actor . I know one day I will visit here from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🙏🏻 Thank you Jordan, so much, Rodx 😎✌🏻❤️ from Halifax West Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧
HEY,.. JORDAN, KATIE & JAH Hope you all are Doing well. Great video I've Always been a James Dean fan All His movies are classics And I Really Enjoy Every Video on him you Do OK Take care and Stay safe on all your Journey's
His death was an unfortunate accident; even the other driver in the 1950 Ford that ran into his Porsche 550 couldn’t see well because he had the sun in his face. The Porsche was silver and sat very low on the ground as well. Ironically the car that ran into him was very similar to his first car shown here. What an amazing museum! Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us!
He was definitely a Renaissance man. He was not defined by diverse interests and talents. The exhibit has class. The thought in putting this together is evident in exhibits. Thank you for always keeping us updated! 🎃🍂
This was so awesome, can't wait to go back. We make a full day of it go see John Dillingers grave, than off to see all the James dean stuff than drive some more to Famous Monster Pizza and eat the best pizza ever.
I didn't know James was from Indiana. That's where I'm from. The first drawing you showed that he did, looked so futuristic. He was definitely an artist. I also liked the replica of his bedroom. That was a cool idea. The car was a cherry too. Also the recreation of his shirt was a dead ringer. It looked exactly like the one he was wearing in that photo.
Cool vlog 😎 The first vlog I ever saw of yours was your James Dean series…my wife and I had watched “East of Eden” one night so the next day I went searching on UA-cam for James Dean stuff cause I’m a history junky…and then I found your vlogs…😎 Keep up the good work 😉😎
This was awesome Jordan. I just said to someone the other day that someday I really want to get to the museum. I don't know if I ever will but I'm going to try in the next year or two before I'm too decrepit lol. I was born the year Jimmy died. I'm one of those weird people who gets excited when I see things like this and when I'm near artifacts of certain icons, I actually shake a little bit with excitement. I guess that's why I follow people such as yourself! I realized when you were pulling away from that bongo drum that that appears to be a Josephine Baker type woman, which I guess would make sense. I love Jimmy's drawing style. It kind of irritates me that I've been drawing for years and I'm still not as good as Jimmy was. Anyway, loved this, great job.
We fans of James Dean really appreciate the video. Thanks Jordan the Lion. You're the best. Did they have any cigarette packs of his ? I just ask because back in the day cigarettes were good for you. 9/10 doctors say so. Everyone smoked back then. Again, I appreciate the channel.
Great video like always. Jordan what is your opinion where is the car? I know all the stories how parts used others passed or injured, but where do you think the frame is. I read articles about it being cemented up in warehouse, idk about that but what is your opinion. Thanks see ya next time, be safe God Bless.
My dad said that back then and the 1950s boys didn’t have a deck flush that’s just how they were. They didn’t really have a care in the world and they wanted to have fun and this comes from a man that grew up in the 50s.
When he came to Santa Monica his Dad Winton bought him a black 1939 Chevy. So he had a car to drive, but he probably preferred the bike. The '49 Ford was originally gray and was technically the Winslow's. So in reality, his first car was the '39 Chevy. The Ford was painted red sometime later.
It's bewildering that someone would ask did he have a death wish, jeez he was 24 having a great time and enjoying life and it's sad it was cut short "Only the good die young".
I am very happy James Dean's family and hometown have this museum to honor and remember him. He deserves to be remembered.
I'm sorry he died so young. I loved him in Giant. Jordan. I love your videos. So diverse. It feels like Americana.
Jordan so glad you have shown jimmy’s belongs when he was a child and a teen , loved seeing all of jimmy’s belongings I have been a fan all my life. Jimmy Dean sausage was founded in 1969. James Dean died 1955....just saying.
That’s pretty cool👍
@@bobbybarnes408Came here to say the same thing 🤣 she lying through her teeth
This was truly impressive. It speaks, not only of James Dean's character and history, but of the loving family unit that surrounded him throughout his life. Jordan, thank you for sharing all these amazing places we would never be able to visit.

When I think of James Dean I think of the tribute to him at the Griffith Observatory! I never knew he had such a Great Museum in his hometown 😎
Thanks for this great look at the new Museum! The last time I was in town the old Fairmount High School was still standing!
That was amazing, set up very well. He died so young but looks like he lived a very full life while he was here. I was only 5 when he died so it took me years to discover him & his talents.

Even though James Dean died before i was born, i was always enamored with him. i imagine what kind of acting career he'd have if he was still alive.

I think its been pieced out.. there may be a large piece somewhere, but at this point i think someone would have showed or found it if they had it.
I saw a documentary about this. It was quite a while ago. The suggestion was that the vehicle was cursed. Irregardless, a tragic loss. RIP Mr Dean 🙏🏼
James Dean was born the same year as my father, and died the same year he was married.
My dad said that back then and the 1950s boys didn’t have a deck flush that’s just how they were. They didn’t really have a care in the world and they wanted to have fun and this comes from a man that grew up in the 50s.
Fairmount has played an important part in my career. ❤
Jimmy was cool before we knew what cool was.
I was 2 when Rebel was filmed
He fit so much in a short life
love Garfield
❤❤❤
I miss my green glasses. I still have my pink ones
Can you place online orders there and they ship to you?
Im not sure.. if you are on instagram, id message the james dean museum and ask! Dorothy is very nice there!
@@DazewithJordantheLion thank you! I will

Its horrible for someone to steal from a grave. Steal period but especially from a grave
Funny how the town ran him off but has survived because of him
