I had no idea about PangoBooks. You’re a lifesaver! 💙
I'm glad! Thanks for watching!
🤑
Yes, PangoBooks definitely need to sponsor you because I had no idea of them ever existing until I watched this video!!!!
Ahahaahaha! I Wish! lol Thanks for watching and good luck if you end up using it or something else 💖
I’m a sucker for books and you’re such a cool chick, I purchased one of your books. It’s the Light It Up book. Great video!🤑
YAY!! I'm so glad you think so! And thanks for the order, I packed it up and am planning on dropping it off after work today! (also you ordered one of the two books that are only up because I had a duplicate copy so, possible buddy read! lol) Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment!
Do you like philosophy?
Thank you for sharing this information. I am just starting to look into selling my books and now, thanks to your video, I feel less nervous and more excited about it.
Pango has been a lifesaver. Some places nearby aren't accepting donations and with kiddos it's tough for me to haul everything. I really just need my books to go to new homes ;-)
RIGHT!? its sooo true, my only issue is that its a little time consuming to add books when you have a big stack of books that need to be added. I should just get into the habit of adding a few books here and there instead of trying to add a bunch all at once.
Anyway, thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment!
@@TatyanaVogt I have like 15 manga that I need to sell, are you able to sell them on pango?
Your so sweet for putting in yr merch as well. Always love yr positive vibes and smile!!
Aw, thank you! I am glad you think so! I love when I can make a package more exciting for people whenever I can! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment!! 💖
I love your energy! So bubbly and so upbeat. You go girl! Best of luck!
Thanks so much!!
Great video!👍🏼 You’re so funny and engaging.
Hope you’re continuing to make major book sales. 🙂🎉
I wanted to start selling my book babies on Amazon…thank you for saving us time 🤑 looking forward to holding folded 20$ up soon 😂 💚
Am curious to know...what was your average selling price on each book? How big is the Pango comission?
This is the same thing I do too. I sell all my books I don't want in my library and so far it's amazing 😍 plus I get to buy new books without struggling with storage.
I’ve shopped on Pango Books so far and want to start selling some of my books there but just have felt overwhelmed with starting or wondering if it’s a good idea. This video really helped make it seem very easy and user friendly for newbies. Though a bit time consuming with the info for each book. 🤑hopefully I’ll have some luck when I get set up!
Glad to help, they do auto fill some stuff so its not too bad, but yeah it can be time consuming regardless. Anyway, thanks for watching and good luck!
🤑❤️👏🏾👏🏾 well done!! Love your vibe so much, and thank you so much, moving and there’s a lot of books I don’t use anymore. Some of them are college books, been also researching best apps/ online stores for that too🤓❤️
Yeah, i feel like its a great app for book collectors to have on their radar for both selling and even buying. But I dont think it would make for a business or anything since most people sell things for really cheap (or at least thats mostly been the case). Good luck with your move (if it hasn't happened already) and thanks for watching!
I love you. Love your energy. I'm 71 and up to my eyeballs in hundreds and hundreds of books. I'm going straight to Pangobooks. BTW, can I adopt you?
I know this is random but, your hair is so rad! And I really appreciate your personal approach to book selling with including the hand-written notes and everything. Awesomeness! :D
Thanks for the tutorial! Your personality and energy are wonderful! I've had a Pango account for awhile now... I might just start using it!
I had no idea about this website I'll have to check it out I dont have a lot of money to buy new books (honestly libraries are a lifesaver) but less expensive gently used books would be great 🤑
Pango books is pretty cool
You're so vibrant and fun! Thanks 4 the video. I instantly installed pangobooks!
Thanks so much! And good luck with your sales!
You have the cutest spirit and thank you for the pango books i didnt know that even existed
Thank you!! 💖
Hilarious and informative. Yes, Pango sponsor her!!
Thanks for sharing this! I don’t have a ton of books but I’ve had some I’ve never gotten to reading them and old text books. I’m going to try this.
You seem like such a beautiful person! I literally stood watching till the end just cause of your bubbly personality! Haha, had me smiling with you too! Lol ^ ^
You are such a delight! I so enjoyed your video. I've never heard of PangoBooks. I happen to be looking at rooms of books and thinking of sharing them with others...for a small fee. LOL. It looks like you're doing very well. Keep it up.
Thanks for your very helpful and informative video! I'm moving soon and I have a lot of books to get rid of and I was dreading donating them all - at least this way I can make a few dollars and also know the books are going to somone who really wants them! Subbed to your channel
Thank you for a great “how to” as we need to sell books…they are taking over the selves 🤦♀️. I appreciate you and the time you took to share. Let’s hope I can do this and make Some Money Honey🤑 And like you we will be happy with a little 💰💵 and free up some space. 🤞
Aint that the truth! Thanks for watching and good luck!
You inspired me ngl , I just opened my shop today!
Oh yay! Thats awesome, I hope its been working out for you! I need to add more books to mine but I keep getting distracted by other things. Anyway, thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment! 💖 And good luck with your shop!
How has it been going? I’ve been thinking of using it myself
Would this be good for a stay at home? This seems like an awesome idea.
you’re so alive and sweet
love this
Can we sell our used book on Amazon? And can we buy 2nd hand books from Amazon?
I dont have a lot of experience with amazon, but yes, you can. I didn't have as much luck there though as I did with Pangobooks. I'm sure there are other second hand selling apps/websites that you can look into as well. Good luck.
Of course...only available in the USA. :( Is there anything like this Canadians can use? Thanks for the fun video, though.
Sorry, dont know. Hope you found something. Good luck
🤑 Thanks doll! Love your positive energy and beautiful smile!
Thanks so much!
Awesome way to sell books, I love getting a thankyou note from the seller!!!
Yeah, its always nice getting a personal touch with your order. I always try to add something cause I know how nice a simple note can feel when you're on the receiving end. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for being honest. I love your videos.
Great info 👍. I have a ton of old and antique books. Do you ship usps? THANKS
I am constantly having to hear the librarians at the book sales talk so bad about book buyers/resellers. It makes me sick. I almost want to quit. They even talk about how they need to up the prices to meet amazon prices so we arent getting any profit! why do they not want us to profit? some of us are poor and willing to get out there and bust our butt to get a dollar only to have someone try to take it away from us. one library worker even told me "I bet I could make a fortune taking these books and selling them on amazon" I told her yes, maybe so, but are you willing to do all the work involved in finding books, cleaning books, listing them, then shipping them???? she was speechless. they think its so easy. and that was a woman close to my age, 50-60 years old thinking she can do all that with just picking up a book and getting the profit without doing anything or exhausting yourself to death. These insulters have no clue. it is a business. It costs to do all of this.....gas to get to libraries, hours looking for good books, buying them, taking them home, cleaning them up real good, then listing them with amazon, labeling them -packing them and taking boxes to a ups store, then waiting possibly months to even have them sold! wow some people....
I think the reason staff/volunteers at these sales are disconcerted by re-sellers is because a lot of people donate those books because they imagine them directly benefitting their community.
The funds that they make from your purchase are of course still helpful. But I think the hope is that another library patron or visitor who otherwise couldn't afford to buy that book would have the chance to read it now after luckily finding it at a sale. The reading community can be very sentimental/emotional about the hobby, so they may be cynical when it comes to people taking these books out of their local community just to turn a profit.
Loved this ! About to join PangoBooks because of this video ! 🎉❤ your so funny and silly I love it chicka ! 🎉😊
I have so many books I really needed to see this video. What type of printer do you have to have to print the labels?
You are so funny ... im glad you are having fun... good job my queen
Thank you! I am glad you think so!!
whats the app do you use to sell yr books again...? i did not hear the name... let me go back a little...
Not sure if you're being serious or not so assuming this is a genuine question its Pangobooks. Thanks for watching and good luck if you do end up using it.
@@TatyanaVogt yep... thats right i got it... i listed 12 books there so far... thanks... i just did not hear what u said...
I love your bubbly personality and thanks for the helpful video. 🤑
Thank you!! Glad you think so!! 💖
Thank you for your honesty ❤
I don’t have a printer so do they send the shipping label to you and you can get it printed somewhere? Or how does that work?
Hello, thanks for watching. So you are responsible for packing up the books and printing off the label and taking it to the post office to get mailed off. I personally have a label printer and a normal printer, both work for this purpose. If you don't have one you'll have to figure out a solution that works best for you and your personal situation. You can use a friends, pay to get it printed at a local printshop etc, that will depend on where you live and what you have access too. Hopefully that helps and good luck!
Endearing and honest video. I might have to try Pango 'lin.
Thanks so much, hope it works out for you if you end up giving it a try!
how much does it cost to buy the bubble mailer?
Do pango books provide you with the mailing labels ??
Yes, when someone orders, you can print out the label that is provided from them. You just need a printer of some kind. Hope that helps
Fantastic videos!
I'm trying to sell my book series as well!
Does anyone have any tips on the best way to go out books?
Please help.
Please and thank you!
Love buying from pango books but also don’t like the fee they take😭
Yeah the fee didn't seem too bad to me, for using their service. But I did just deal with amazon taking 50% and then forcing me to pay higher shipping than necessary making it so that I only got .85 cents off of a $8 sale, so maybe thats why it seems so reasonable! lol.
Anyway, thanks for wathcing and for taking the time to leave a comment!
i love your energy!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching!!!
Love you energy! What a fun video! 🤑
Thank you!!
Get that money honey! Love the energy
Thank you!!
Love you and your vid. There are too many choices out there to sift through.
Q: Is there an option fot marking First Edition and/or Signed books?
Thanks for watching! And I dont think there is an official way to add that info but I do believe people will add it to the title of the book like 'Legendborn (Special Edition)'. But I'm not 100% sure. Hope that helps!
I love your energy 😄
How do you print the shipping label?
So awesome, I never heard of Pango books, I’ll have to check them out. I currently sell on eBay. Have you considered eBay and Mercari?
Not really, I used ebay a long time ago and remember it being a lot of work. Wanted something simple and a little more dedicated to improve my chances of selling. Anyway, thanks for watching and good luck!
Great video, I learned some valuable information.
Yay! I'm glad it was helpful!
Thanks! I am trying to get going with my own burgeoning library. It needs to be cut way down.
OMW your hair is so cute!!! 😭
Thank you!!
Great video. However, do you have to prep the books. Is there anywhere else to seel used books. I was going to go with Amazon because of traffic.
Thanks, you do have to package and print out the label that pango provides, and then take it to the post office to send it out. Thats also true if you use Amazon. I had higher profits on Pango than amazon but I wasn't on there for long. Anyway, thanks for watching and good luck!
Hey darlin’ this was 11 months ago I’m wondering if you have changed things anyone else suggestions on the best place to sell your books? Book Scouter? my husband and I have some medical expenses we need to pay down and you really want to go to Scotland and Ireland. I have a Poshmark account I’ve use that I have eBay and of course Facebook marketplace but I saw that there’s a app called ThriftBooks and that there’s another few apps out there that are supposed to be best for selling books…
where did you get your bubble mailers? Thank you for this video and your sweet smile. :D
Thanks, I believe I got them on amazon. They have different sizes as well which can help.
I totally enjoyed your video, thank you for this great idea for extra money 💰
What would be good is it comparison video across Services like the time to enter each book the reporting and traffic volume views clicks and purchases for each book for sets of hundreds or thousands of books. Some of us have access to thousands of books and entering them one and a time for Hope is not an option.
Thats a great suggestion, but as I said I'm just doing it casually and this is what worked for me under those circumstances. I know there are booksellers on the platform that share there experience so you might be able to find the comparison video that you're looking for. This is more for book collectors who need to get rid of some of the books they dont like and want to make a little bit of money to use to buy more books.
Anyway, good luck. Hope you find what you're looking for!
Where are you selling these ?
As mentioned in the video I'm using the app 'pangobooks' to sell my used books. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Thanks for watching.
Curious why you sold the book for $8 but only made .85 cents? Did you do it thru amazon fba? Also did you use a scanner to see if the book was worth selling on amazon? Also did you set min and max sell prices for the book? I’m very curious
I did it through Amazon. The average sell price of the book at that time was like $8.50 or $8.75 so I set it for a little cheaper at $8 flat. Amazon took a fee of $4 right off the top with no explanation as to why it was so much, and then forced me to pay $3.15 for shipping (not the cheapest option), because it locked me into prime shipping with no options obviously available on my end to adjust shipping cost or time (before or after the sale) so after it was all said and done I only got .85 cents...
I Didn't like that they took 50% in fee's so I didn't look further into adjusting the shipping stuff and instead I just found a different solution that takes significantly less in fee's, is way more user friendly, and doesn't force me to pay shipping unless I opt into some sort "free shipping if you pay.." sale.
hope that helps answer the question. Thanks for watching.
Hi. Since it’s been awhile since you did this video I was wondering if u still think Pango is a good online place for selling/destashing books? Any other suggestions similar to Pango?
I have not been selling much books since then. I had a big move and donated all of the books that hadn't sold before hand. But I do plan on using the service again soon. (have accumulated some books that I'm ready to unhaul again).
Thanks for watching! Sorry I dont have any other suggestions at this time. I do plan on using pango books when I start re-selling again.
You are so funny!! Did you pay for the shipping?
Thank you! In this case I paid for the shipping because I had a deal of free shipping if you paid $25 or more and this went over the $25 mark. But thats optional.
You are a joy to watch!😊
Thanks so much, really glad you think so!
HOW DO YOU PRICE YOUR BOOKS? THANKS FOR THE CONTENT
I search to book and see what other people are selling them for. IF I'm just trying to get rid of it, then I price it for less, if I dont mind sitting on it for awhile I price it around the same price as everyone else or a little higher. Hope that helps and good luck!
$15 is way better than $7 that other sites offer some offer even 10 cents loved your video! :)
Yeah for sure, it does vary quite a bit. Most books I sell are only a few dollars since I'm just trying to get them out the door, but some of the newer/nicer or special edition type books can go for a lot more depending on how popular it is.
Anyway, thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment.
My alcoholic self spotted the Makers Mark right away. Try the Makers 46, delicious.
Yeah really like the bottle shape, thanks for watching!
Hi!
Quick question, do you only get to sell? Or are you able to rent them out? 😮
I have so many books and want to rent them as I expect to get them back lol
It seems like its only for selling
@@TatyanaVogt bummer, thank you
How does the volume of traffic in the speed of sales compare across Amazon, Abe Books and Pingo?
Sorry, I wouldn't know. I just use pango at this point.
I could not understand the name of the program because my English was not sufficient. Can anyone tell the name of the program?
Pango books. Its also listed and linked in the description box. hope that helps!
I'm interested in selling my books to my library rather than donating cuz I'm trying to make money. How does that work? If I sell to the library would they have to pay me to do that which I honestly don't think they would. The books are old but there still in good condition. I'm not a published author yet but I am a writer
Do you have to be a published author to sell books to libraries
Or can I have a book sale. If wanted to have a book sale how would I do that I never had a book sale before. Would I have to pay to do that
Ive also been trying to get my book published for the longest but don't know where to start and don't have connections with industry professionals
I already joined pangobooks and listed my books but haven't gotten any sales yet. And whenever I share my page to try to get sales I still don't get any
I love your personality and energy. New subscriber
Welcome! Unfortunately I don't have any experience with that. I mainly just use pango books to sell stuff and then donate to free little libraries. I'm not doing it to make money, I just don't want to waste/loose out completely when a book doesn't work for me. I'll usually lower the price of the books on pango if I'm really trying to sell them, I also usually have the spend $25 or more and get free shipping (which I might up to $35 the next time I re-open my pango).
Good luck with publishing and selling, I really hope you figure out what works for you!
@@TatyanaVogt yes I understand. And thank you so much
Can I sell books that were made by me or is brand new, or is the website more for used books 😮
I dont know. You probably can. The site is mostly for used books or reselling books so it might not be set up well for selling your own stuff, especially if you have an item in bulk since it assumes each listing is 'unique' since used book vary in quality.
I have been thinking about selling my books on Pango, I also buy off of there too. Quick question do you need to pay shipping if sending out?
So pango books automatically sets up a shipping label when someone purchases, the seller has no control over that. Usually the buyer pays for the shipping label unless you set up a free shipping minimum (which I did, so I pay for shipping out of my profit for orders of $25 or more.) BUT even when I pay for the shipping I dont have to actually pay for it upfront since they just take it out of your profit (I guess that would change if someone isn't happy and returns something, but I haven't dealt with that yet so I dunno).
I did reach out to pangobooks and ask if I could buy my own label and they said that you could, and just provide the tracking and then they will refund the shipping label cost they take out initially from your profit when a customer orders. BUT I haven't tried that so I don't know if it's true, or not since I've just used the shipping labels they provide since its easier that way.
Hopefully that helps!
@@TatyanaVogt Yes, that helped a lot, thank you. I am hoping to put some books up this week and see what happens.
I loved your video but that last packing system was warped. So, there is not a lot of money to make in the used book system? Just some money?
Glad you enjoyed! yeah, gotta work with what you got. If you wanted to make a lot of money selling books online there are videos of people who do that as a job via amazon. Its not great for selling books in my situation where I am just selling books i no longer want on my shelves. If you're doing it as business you'd be buying bulk and wholesale books and trying to get them dirt cheap in from different places, they also dont sell everything that they list so you have to be okay with not being able to sell everything. I dont know too much about it but I did watch a few videos when I was looking for something to work for my situation.
Omg you’re hilarious 😂 I love your personality and new subscriber I’m thinking about selling books myself because I can use the extra money
Thank you! And yeah, I wouldn't say this is a big money maker but if you have the books already its a great way to make a little cash (especially if you were planning on just getting rid of them). Apparently some people do make good money selling book though so its possible. Anyway, good luck and thanks again for watching!
Thank you for the video I have to many books to sell. Lot of them giving to me I did want to throw them out. I hope they take German books and all? Have to give. Try
Thank you so much. I have so many books that I need to get rid of them.
Yay! I am glad, and I hope it works out for you! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment! 💖
After watching your video, I made a trip to my local thrift store. I bought about 10 books for about $20. The were actually a little less on that day
I came home & posted them to Pango app. Nothing there. However, I found another app Book Run. After scanning the books from my 2nd trip, I had 2 that sold. Again they were only $1 each.
I hit the jack pot! !!!!
One book was sold for $38! 🤔😵
I couldn't believe it!
I had to back out of the app & try again!
Yep, it was true!!!
I'm now waiting for them to receive my books & send my check.
Oh yeah, they pay for shipping & provide a shipping label.
Once the check arrives I plan to try again.
Thank you so so much for the insight!
I would have never guessed one couldakw money by selling used books!
😵😵😵❤❤❤❤
@TinaDuke-x6q I'm actually wanting to try this interesting passive income too 🙂
This was for people who just has books on hand that they wanted to try to sell instead of donating, not really to buy books for re-selling, Glad you found something that worked for you.
Cool!
I have to attack the book stash. lol
💖💖
💫thanks way better option than amazon.
How long did it take your account to start catching traction?
I believe I made this video a week-ish after making an account, sold a couple books before making the video and then sold a few more over the couple days it took to make the video. if you're just trying to get rid of books you can sell things fairly quickly by just pricing them cheaper than everything else and lowering the prices every so often on books that haven't sold. IF you're trying to make money it will probably take more time and I'm not sure personally the best route.
Anyway, good luck!
I can’t find pango books on the App Store on apple
“Pangobooks” one word, it comes up as the first result for me. Hopefully that helps
Quick question because I’m a little confused. Do we have to get our own bubble mailer or is that provided?
You have to provide your own shipping supplies. You can re-use boxes, buy new boxes, use bubble mailers, etc. You'll just want to make sure that the books are secure so they arrive safely to the people buying them. Hope that helps.
Hey what is your pango info??
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching! 💖💖
I really want to sell some of the books I have, because they're sitting here unused and getting damaged. Some of them though are so badly written and the story is so wack that I kinda feel bad selling them on to someone else lol
AHAHAHAHAHA!! I know the feeling! Books that I really hate, I actually ended up donating instead. A lot of the books that I sell are ones I never got around to reading or felt so-so about but could see why others would like em. Anyway, good luck selling your books, I hope you figure out something that works for you!
@@TatyanaVogt haha thank you!!
Does it have to be a bubble mailer or can it be any packaging?
No, thats just what I had. You can package it in whatever way works best for you.
How did you sell a book on amazon for $8 and get only $0.85?
Amazon took $4 off the top and then forced me into pay $3 something in the shipping instead of the slightly cheaper media mail version. Probably could have saved a dollar or so if I could adjust the shipping time but it didn't seem worth it when they took 50% right off the bat and I still only would have gotten less than or maaaybe $2 profit on an $8 sale.. (now I did only try the one book so I'm not an expert in selling books on amazon but I can say it was a terrible first experience...
@@TatyanaVogt That sucks. I recently sold a book on ebay. For $15 but ended up making about $3. Do you have an email if I have any questions regarding selling?
Hi Tatyana , I don't have a printer so how do I get my books to people that buy them , I haven't posted any books yet !
I'm sorry, I'm not sure I have an answer for you. You could look into getting the labels printed locally elsewhere but that depends on your area. You might also invest in a cheap label printer (but I would be careful since I wouldnt say pango books is a make a LOT of money type of deal, its more of a, dont loose all your money when you no longer want a book, situation).
Anyway, I hope you figure something out, and good luck!
Hi, I usually just run to my library and get it printed for 15 cents!
@@featherflightfarm866I do same
I'm joining today, I will look for your store. I subscribed too
Thank you for these tips
Your welcome! Good luck!
I'm gonna try this right now! I have about 10 books i want to sell (and then i can buy more books😂)
Good luck! Hope it worked out!
You’re so cute I also love your red hair 👩🏻🦰 I’m biased. Thanks for making this fun can’t wait to try it any input since the six months you posted this video TIP things to sell more certain wants to not sell etc.
Can I also sale magazines?
Do people buy books on etsy?
Not sure, I've seen people sell vintage books in aesthetic collections for people to use as decor, not sure how many people buy books for reading there. 🤷🏾♀️
Great video! 👍
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! 💖💖
Pango takes 20%? How could you possibly make more money than on Amazon??
Im not sure the % but for an $8 book Amazon took $4 in fees right off the top and forced me to pay $3+ in expedited shipping.. pango takes a % and has the buyer pay for shipping unless you opt into a bundle discount (which I do) which means I actually make money on an $8 book. Sorry I don’t have all the specifics but hopefully that makes sense.
I’m thinking about selling kid books because who kids doesn’t love to read books
I have no experience in the department on there but that sounds like it could be a good idea, good luck!!
Does anyone know how to add publisher descriptions to books you listed? I’m barely starting and can’t figure it out lol
I think It should add it automatically based off of the bar code/book information. There might be a check box or something, but I'm not sure. Its been awhile since I've had any books to sell. Anyway, thanks for watching and good luck!
