Pick and pack videos are my favourite! I like them just like this - I want to know what you sold, how much it sold for and how long the books have been for sale. Sprinkle in some additional information like "these sell really fast" and voila! You have my undivided attention 🙂

Please use as many actions as possible to save your back and legs so that you can do this for a long time in the future. Every strain and twist is a negative in your metric.
I'm amazed at the prices you get for your books. As a example the swimming book, UK seller £7.49 including postage that costs around £3. You are most definitely in the right place and are doing a wonderful job over there. Thanks for the vids😃
I just watched your garage video… and now this one! My how you’ve grown!! I have been struggling with being organized in my business which has affected my mental health tremendously as I struggle to ship efficiently. This is encouraging me to get organized and stay organized ❤
Another great video Mel. I love a pick and pack video. I enjoy seeing what books and authors sell in Australia and watching the whole process from the beginning to the end.😊
It really helps me. And also each time I pick orders, I can see it so it’s just another reminder constantly about what’s selling fast or slow. It’s made me a better seller. Otherwise you can only see the date you listed it in the active listings on the desktop version. It’s not an easy visual reminder when it’s not in the SKU. Sometimes it feels like we just listed something but then when you look it’s like 9mths ago. It’s a good reminder to be buying faster moving inventory that keeps churning over.
I do this! I don’t trust eBay to not lose items and therefore SKU locations so I started using it for the upload date to see how long it took to sell, and also add in when I do price drops. I sell clothing 😄
@@happycowgirl32 it help when I’m using the phone app as I can see the date it was listed in the SKU when I send and receive offers. I also pick the books using the phone app and SKU so I mentally take note of how long things have taken to sell which helps me when I’m sourcing as I remember more if something was a fast or slow seller.
Do love a pick and pack video, always interesting seeing what books you're pulling off the shelves! I've seen Cirque du Soleil in London a few times in the past, they're awesome! The shark bags still going strong! Thanks for the video Mel.
I'm really enjoying your return to this style of content. Because sourcing opportunities are so specific to where we live/shop I'm not as keen on anyone's sourcing videos. I'm happy to let them play so you (and other content creators) get the views but I don't tend to watch them as such. I do miss your live streams, I used to really love and participate in those. Edited to add: I enjoy seeing what has sold and for what price. Where people order multiple books, I really enjoy seeing the combination of authors and/or genres they purchase.
Thanks for the feedback! I have a live stream coming up. Interesting about the sourcing videos. You’re correct that sourcing is very different everywhere we live.
Agreed. I rarely, if ever, watch the sourcing videos. I would rather be out sourcing myself than watching others do it. But that could just be me. They tend to get a lot of views, so it may just be us. 😂
All OF THE ABOVE. It’s curious to watch what sells & how much. But also, explaining your process and why you do what you do is so helpful. Even if not a specific book seller. Great tips for any reseller. ❤
I L💙ve the pick n pack Mel! I know it slows you down but you're helping me learn about books to pick up, I actually bought & listed my 1st book ☺️ its a large coffee table book 🤑 Appreciate You!
Yes, I like the pick and pack videos, mainly because we learn what it selling for you. Especially things that sell quickly. Not everything translates to here in the US (such as Louis L'amour selling for so much) but still, it's very helpful. Thanks Mel!
Yes it is expensive to send overseas and some of the books are very heavy so I do have higher international pricing just incase someone orders a very heavy book.
I loved your constant tips of how to and why you do different things through out the process. I would love to hear approximate totals of what you sold or your expected profit. This was so fun. I don't sell books that often but watching you really shows how it is possible. Thanks again for creating!
I was going to suggest you put your phone on a lanyard so you don’t have to pick it up and put it down all the time. But then I realized the lanyard would have to be as long as your arm so you could still read your phone. 😂
@@backfromburnout I was thinking that a wristband phone holder might be helpful, like the ones they make for runners to hold their phone on their arm. They usually have a clear cover so you can still see and navigate the touchscreen. If you have it on your forearm, then you could pick and just hold your arm up (like if you were giving a high five to someone) to see the screen.
Making this video probably 10x'd the amount of time it usually takes you to pick & pack & ready for ship! But it was a great watch! 😊Congrats on all the great sales. I love that you're going for larger sales numbers going forward. That'll just make things easier for you.
Always interesting to see someone else picking and packing. When I do it for my Etsy shop I sometimes talk to myself (like I was on camera) to keep me on track and working fast. I enjoy seeing what sold. And your process. Thank you for doing it.

I enjoy watching your videos 📹! I like how you do the whole process from picking to packing the books... We print packing slips 2 copies as one is attached to the item sold because we ship from Canada 🇨🇦 to USA 🇺🇸, it's required... then we pick our items, my wife packs them and I process the packages and label them. Then every 2 days we ship our package, take them to our 3rd party shipper who brings them across the border and delivers to the usps warehouse us postal warehouse for delivery... We don’t use Canada post because it's too expensive! It costs 70% more to use. Only certain occasion we use Canada post... it's interesting how everyone has different ways of shipping out orders! Have a great week! Joe Bee 🐝 from 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 Canada!😅😊
I am a book lover. I enjoy seeing all the different books and what they sell for. My daughter is doing the Premiers reading challenge (Victoria) so your video reminded me to go and search your store for some books she might like to read. I love supporting small business!

After taking pictures etc. I do not know if this would be better or worse protection against moisture and critters? It could be worse. But I don't really know and figured you have the experience in keeping them stored properly.
I think that would use a lot of plastic, the books stay clean on the shelves. It's just the bundles I need to stay together so I wrap those in the plastic wrap.
I was watching your video 4 years ago first - one with all those containers everywhere stack from bottom to top, now it's gone? What you do now is definitely better. Easier access. Seems you have more books now - what your garage smell like? Bookstore smell? Great vid.

Loved this video Mel ❤❤❤❤ loved to see more pick and pack videos like this one also a short bit on the the process at the post office. By the way you are looking well and amazing. Stay well 😊😊
Thank you. When I go to the post office I just wave hello to the staff and drop my bags near their staff door and go. I’m on great terms with the post office. They hold all my empty ikea bags for me until their next day or two and then when they see me they just get any of my empty bags they have and pass them across to me and then as soon as they have time they scan my parcels in. So I don’t have to wait. I just drop and run.
I agree with what lots of others are saying about enjoying pick and packs! For me it gives insights into processes that you don’t get many chances normally to see. You explain why you do something a certain way to maximize efficiency so those tips are really helpful. The recent run of videos has been great - thank you 🙏
The Michael Mosley books have probably sold as he is currently in the news as gone missing on the Isle of Symi in Greece. Very popular on tv screens in the UK. On another note, love your channel, love your positive attitude and general outlook. You have some really great content and information. Keep up the smiley faces. Can’t believe I’m now hooked on PICK AND PACK 😂
Its always interesting to hear where you buy your supplies from and love the way you think about your work area to save your back. Clean and organised way to go. 😊
Hi Mel, great video, very satisfying to watch. We had Woolworths here in the UK, but I think they're all closed now! Everyone knew them as Woolies, and they were famous for they're pick n' mix 😉❤
Are you planning on doing some type of inventory by pulling all the books that you've posted in, say, 2022 and seeing if you can bundle them to finally sell or it's just time to donate? Would love to see a slice of such process ❤
Hi Mel, when you do international shipping are there any countries you won’t ship to? I personally have only been choosing United Kingdom, USA, Canada, and New Zealand. I’m a bit concerned about being scammed from some of the other countries, although I know I can be scammed from anywhere . I just wondered what your thoughts were on this ? thanks babe. Your videos have helped me so much and every time I watch one I learn something. Thank you mel I appreciate you.
Mine is set worldwide. EBay automatically block some countries but otherwise I ship anywhere and haven’t had any issues. I only do 1-2 international a week and mostly they go to US

I like to tidy around my tv area during a picnpac so it motivates me to get moving around 😊
Yay!! So glad it motivates you!
Love your videos. Love watching you fill your orders.
Thank you so much!
I sold those before he went missing but I do hope he is found safe soon. Very sad to hear.
Its always interesting to hear where you buy your supplies from and love the way you think about your work area to save your back. Clean and organised way to go. 😊
Thank you!
Hi Mel, great video, very satisfying to watch. We had Woolworths here in the UK, but I think they're all closed now! Everyone knew them as Woolies, and they were famous for they're pick n' mix 😉❤
We also call them Woolies! Australians like to shorten everything :)

I love watching the packing process!
Thank you for the feedback!
I would like to see a video on how you pick the books together and put on the stock shelfs
Are you planning on doing some type of inventory by pulling all the books that you've posted in, say, 2022 and seeing if you can bundle them to finally sell or it's just time to donate? Would love to see a slice of such process ❤
I tend to pull them if I really need the shlf space but I do want to do a full stocktake soon.
Congrats on the warehouse progress Mel looks great 😊
Thank you!! 😊

Glad you like them! Thank you for the feedback!
I only do 1-2 international a week and mostly they go to US
I love the pick 'n pack videos.
Thank you!
Yeah! More Videos! Thanks for sharing your sales!
