  • You still can find an airplane! Even in this hot airplane market there are still some good planes out there. I took a look through trade-a-plane just to see what is out there and sure enough,...thee are some good ones!
Of course with any airplane you have to do your due diligence, but if you have been looking for a plane and can't seem to find one rest assured... they are out there!
Have a look at these I found all under $60,000.00 They are affordable and hopefully have a lot of life left in them.
Owning an airplane can be affordable...
Have you always wanted to learn how to fly but now you are over 50? Get out there and start and learn! There are so many people in there 50's and 60's who are just starting to fly so what are you waiting for?

💩 Over 50? I just had a birthday 🥳 🎂 and now I’m over 60! At least I’ve been flying since I was 13! Great video Ted, as always!

Just bought a Piper Cherokee 235 for under $50K. Engine is 300 hours short of TBO, but compressions are solid and it purrs. No ADS-B and one nav/com is inop. Love my plane.

We picked up the Citabria with fresh overhauled engine for 40k! So much fun!

I'll take the Tomahawk any day of the week. If you look around you can find them for less money with better time on the engine.

1:04 - That was my first aircraft - 1977 Cessna 152 (N216DV). I'm 6'2", and had to lead all my turns with my knees. LOL!
My CAP buddy called the next one a "TraumaHawk"!!

Thank you for all your videos. I'm finalizing ground school and I admit that your videos as well as others of popular pilots on UA-cam convinced me to go after my passion - and I'm 55... I am beginning the process of looking for a plane and one thing that has helped in the search is the use of FlightAware. It gives me when was the last time the plane was on the air, and what kind of flight it was. If I see that the plane has not been updated recently and if it has flown 2 months ago only doing a pattern flight, then I know that maybe it needs work done and it's not reliable for cross country. But if the trip was done from one city on one state to another one in a different state, and done recently, then that machine may have been well maintained and updated. I also check on the altitude graph to see if it has flown with autopilot or not - very important for cross country flights. Needless to say IF I press the switch and decide to purchase, I'll have a thorough inspection being done on it. One of my obstacles right now is my wife - she truly hates small planes. I guess I'll fly alone :-)

Sir, could you kindly tell us which website you’re using to show us these planes please? Thank you 🙏 😊

Engine hours have no bearing on engine condition. A low time engine that hasn’t been flown often is a tremendous risk compared to a high time well flown engine that’s been used without lapse.

You can probably pick a nice Light Sport Cessna 162 for under $60,000, if you don't mind the payload limitation.

All these listings are old listings when you call them you find out they're sold, trade a plane is the worst on updating their website.

Oh man… I’m sorry - I should have checked …. Did you call these specific listings ?

Only I can say that, because I'm catching up to him... While the listings may not be fresh, I appreciate the perspective and analysis.

Trade-A-Plane and Barnstormers are going to be responsible for getting me fired.
