- So the new spar is in and this airplane is better structurally than the day she came out of the factory. Everything has had corrosion protection applied to it, and all the paperwork is completely in order and fully verified for the new spar that was purchased. This was something that was extremely important to me because when I was looking for a new spar, I came across a few spars that I wasn’t really comfortable with from the paperwork side.
This spar came with a complete folder of paperwork; An 8130, an Eddy inspection report, in beautiful shape! The work that was done at Posada Aviation was absolutely meticulous and I popped in every few days just to make sure they have everything they needed and to see how it was going without getting in the way. They did an exquisite job and if you are ever in this predicament, call Posada Aviation and start the conversation Because it may be worth it to have the wings removed wherever you are get the plane down to Posada Aviation and have them do the work the complete install was around $20,000 in labor and the spar was $12,000 and for rebuilding your aircraft, that is a very good fair price down by competent mechanics, and excellent oversight.
Not a single aspect of this job was overlooked and when it was all done, the owner of the shop took it for a test light took it up to 1.6 positive G‘s -.4Gs slow turns slow flight steep, turns stalls, and the plane perform full flawlessly. Then I took it up and here’s how that went.
I am going to sell it. The reason I’m selling it is because I want to move up to something bigger better it goes faster flies farther and flies higher. I’m completely confident, confident that This airplane is safe and ready to turn to return to service and I would never sell anything that is a problem waiting to happen to anybody. This plane is changed my life for the better and I want it to do the same for the next owner. And I can completely relate to not wanting to sell your airplane. I'm in the same position, for the same reason. I'm selling my little cherokee 140 to move up to a cherokee 235. And every step I take in this direction involves having to let go of my emotional attachment to my airplane.

No, I didn’t buy 210. I really like that aircraft. I do fly a 210 for a nonprofit, but I don’t own one,… Yet. I’m thinking about it.😇
