FYI-- the intake cam shaft drives a power steering pump in some GM use cases for this engine.

I personally would have lap them valve because if you are already in the engine you have to do it right.

This engine is not going In any car. Just a learning engine. If I was going to run it I would have done it.

I would have soak the lifter in oil before installing them

That’s not a bad idea. But I did bleed and soak them on prior videos.

Don't be this guy, use the proper kent moore tool for valve spring install.

because the camshaft is not under the same kind of loads as the crank and rods.
