Man! I tamed a meg on accident, i didn’t think i’d get it and i saw those stupid jellies and thought “hey!!! They gotta have loot” just to be shocked! Then the meg killed them and swam off to get eaten by some large black thing…. I just sat there and watched then swam for my life when i turned towards me haha 😂 STUPID OCEAN!!!
Dolphins are pretty useful imo at least. You can just tranq arrow things on the back of it and swim away. You can pretty much outrun anything in the ocean and they're easy af to tame.
Megs are fun! I built a taming raft with a shark cage underneath. A little tricky to get them inside (actually loaded a discontinued gate mod to make a gate slightly larger than a normal dino gate, but smaller than a behemoth gate).

Great video Cheese! But for people on regular servers that can't pick back up Behemoth gates do you have some other tips? Cause those cost a lot of resources.
⭐️ if you're new to ark, level your speed a bunch... 150-160 is recommended... with scuba tank and flippers, you can chase the shark when it runs. Maybe get behind the shark and chase it somewhere shallow instead of towards the deep... Also, the benefit of having high speed is you can escape from almost everything... Once you get some good tames you can take a mindwipe tonic and change your stats to reflect your play style better... 👍
I tame 2 sharks and boht of them is cursed or i dunno. When i ride a shark it run out of stamins snd it s normal but it regret to gain stamina back ehilr i m riding it. İs that normal?
i feel like circling the shark close range is the easiest way to do this. you have time to go up for air and regain stamina on bird/raft or other underwater tame. all while not getting bitten once

Use a "useless" icthy and chase it down while shooting from its back.
Also, use a baryonyx instead because they are better than megs and much easier to catch.
