The Argy has been my favorite tame so far. I've leveled mine up to hold about 1200 pounds and tons of stamina and I fly around to get metal since i"m nowhere near close to the big metal deposits ...
Pro tip on offical servers starving a level 150 argie about 3000 food points and then filling its inventory up with about 25 raw prime will tame it at about 97% tameing effectiveness every time.
I'm a new player and haven't really got much good taming skills or experience so this really good and helpful so thank you. I could tame this type of creature in the next few days if I keep playing. 😊

I tamed a 180 argy and I went around killing a lot of dinos and I was like let’s go kill this bronto but i was like it seems quite big and it has rocks on it’s back so that’s not a bronto. But I go for him anyway and me and my argy both got one shot. It turns out that it was a titanosauras which I now know what it is but at the time I didn’t know what it was….
Im new to ark and need someone to answer a question for me please. Is it actually bad to catch a low level over a already leveled dino? My thought was if i catch a low level one i can just make it stats what i want as i level it or is a already leveled one get a stat boost?
Right so if you tame a level 100 and level it 72 times you have a 172 and if you tame a 50 and level it up 72 times you’ll have a 122. So the higher level dino will always be that much better
6:20 “We wouldn’t choose pretty colors over a high level…” I’m a pretty patient person. I’d probably go for the colorful bird, also because it would be safer to tame. Lol

This is not true at all, the food drain happens at the same speed, it will eat when it’s hungry if you wait or not still takes the exact same amount of time, only thing starve taming can do is save you some kibble if the tame gets messed up

You can use tranq arrows but there's I think a decent chance you'll kill it instead of knocking it out

Edit: do u have boosts on so they will go unconscious quicker or not
Argys can destroy wood.
And how many shots you'll need depends on your weapon dmg

The best location is terrible if u dont play on a private server, playing on small tribes you'd survive 10 mins in this location.

Max Level depends on difficulty, you must be on difficulty 5 which gives max 150 but my server is difficulty 6 which is max 180
