LYRICS:
Embraced by the fluidic abyss I adore. Engulfed in beauty that I cannot see. Pressure mounting on its floor. Granulated rock shifts beneath my feet.
Accepted as a companion to the creatures, to the creatures of the current.Their fluorescent glow transcends allurement. Their fluorescent glow transcends.
Join me, they motion, with cunning brilliance, brilliance veiled.
I followed this muse under, under waters, waters not sailed.
And through the mineral reef beyond the shallows, into the deep, this seraph lead me into a lapse of time.
A continual electric pulse of life.
Solemnly staring while my eyes were wearing, the frailty of my being no longer persisted.
This celestial entity that I'd been pursuing delivered my spirit that was forever imprisoned.
And through the mineral reef beyond the shallows, into the deep, this seraph lead me into a lapse of time.
Adrift in a medium aloof from reality, I gaze into an exalted mirror.
Its reflection left an affection that had long been absent.
A continual electric pulse of life.
This creature has become my father.
A giant reaping what he has sown.
(Absorbed in the darkness of glacial dead water).
This sentient creature has touched the vast unknown. (Touch the vast unknown).
Life is found where it is taken.
A vapor in the wind cycles.
Replaced when the ground is shaken.
Nature is an equal to mankind.
This celestial entity that I had been (I had been) pursuing delivered my spirit that was forever imprisoned.
A continual electric pulse of life.
/ tragicherorecords
that bass tone touches my vast unknown
I laughed way harder than I should have at this
it touches my ballsack
These aren't just lyrics, this is a spiritual journey depicted into lyrical content.
Yes.Well said.😇✔️
2022 and I still have this on repeat. Not that they didn't ABSOLUTELY crush it on their new album
Man feel absolutely the same
Check out my instrumental version of this song if you like ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
Shit will always slap dude
these dudes deliver
Those clean vocals are fucking godly.
Yes they fuckin are
TheTurpinator They're really good, but I think Jesse's cleans are what make this band special.
+Genghis Khan meh I think the guitar work is what makes this band stand out
Genghis Khan I disagree with everyone of you. The cleans are the only thing I don't like. He kinds ruins this band for me. This record was still pretty legit but was all down hill after this for me.
yeah his riffs are really unconventional
Perfect aesthetics, perfect style. This album hits like a truck.
Yeah man definetly, I'm doing instrumentals for this album :) ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
That harp or whatever that is on the second half of the intro is so beautiful oh my god.
Xylophone and yes it’s a beautiful addition.
So... who here keeps coming back to old Erra songs because the new ones just don't do it for you?
I love modern ERRA as well, but nothing will ever come close to the combination of Jesse + Garrison + Alan.
I love the older albums more as well. I'm gonna do a lot of instrumentals on them.
Check out My take on this one if you like ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
I’m not afraid to say it, they are SO much worse now. Back in these days they had the perfect lineup and they really just were on another level. Sucks that it didn’t last longer.
God I can't even get into their new stuff and I still consider them my favorite band. They replaced Atreyu for me and I know they aren't similar styles but early ERRA completely destroyed my taste for like any other style. Sad that Garrison is gone. ☹️ Alpha Seed fucking slays.
@@patrickbryant2687 I totally feel you. I've searched everywhere for a band that could give me my euphoria fix the same way when I first heard Impulse. Couple of bands come close : Secret and Whisper, Shreddy Krueger, Earthists (JP), some of the earlier The Afterimage stuff, but that's about it. A part of me definitely died with their old lineup.
Though I feel if The Artificials (Alan's band post-Erra) had a male vocalist similar to Jesse, that'd totally be my new favorite band.
2016 and still listening , this is their best album
2018 and still listening.

Unreal no question but Impulse is still king
2020 bitches.
2019 this band is still my escape. Anyone else?
I will never let go of the changes this band went through. I don't dislike the newer stuff but you can't top Augment in my opinion. The lyrics from Garrison and Jesse and Alan's style is just beyond man. This album will always be my favorite!
Wish they'd drop that new album already
Um absolutely sir.
Currently using this band to fill the gaps between my main favorite band albums release (fallujah , parkway drive ) I like this band but I really don't like the clean vocals
2021 and im wondering why its taken me so long
If you really want good metal music, go listen to ERRA.
If someone was reading this comment, they already have haha.
ok
Wheytogo LOLKIIKKLLOLILIL
K ill go check them out.
Yeah theyre good.
Whose ERRA?
This used to be one of my lesser favorite ERRA songs for whatever reason. But man that low at 2:58 transitioning into the cleans backed up by those beautifully composed melodic leads is so juicy. The profound lyrics just makes it a transcendental listening experience..
Hell yea! Garrison and Jesse are just so fucking talented
Try listening to erra on lsd. That's a profound experience.
Backwood lsd
Its my least favourite from augment but then it got me at one of the best sections.. "Life is found where it is ta-keen, a vapour in the wind cycles... replace when the ground is sha-keen, nature is an equal to man'koooiinnd" chills
@@Chubypenguin That's what the song Drift is about 😅
Wow must be such an honor to play with Erra... Jeez im jel man !!! Enjoy it !
I'm in love with this band, not only because of the music, but because of the lyrics, so intricate. One of the best bands I've ever listened to
really intelligent lyrics.
Well I’ve never heard of ERRA until today but my goodness they are great! I’ve always loved Bands like Of Mice & Men and Bless the Fall. This is band is something else.
ERRA is on another level then those bands u named
this album has ruined me to listen any other band ever again...
same lol
Feels like every metalcore album since this one was a vain attempt on my end to recapture the feeling this album gave me
This is a masterpiece.
Indeed. It is.
these fucking lyrics are so damn good...blown away
I don't think they destroy all other band's in this genre... they annihilate them. The lyrics, the growls, the cleans, the guitars, the drums, and that all mighty synch are years away of what any other band in this genre can create.
I have been listening to Erra since the "E.R.R.A - EP" and they have only been growing as individuals and as a band. These guys are headed for greatness in my opinion.
who else is still listening to this in 2017
I'll still be listening in 3017 cause this album gives me lifeeeeeeeeee
pale jared I'll be listening to this on my fucking deathbed
Still in 2018 and beyond. Just bought the vinyl too. This album band turned out to be so much more than what I thought they'd be after my first listen....they're up on my list of Misery signals & Hopesfall good
2018 bitch
pale jared 2018!
Holy fuck. Tore it apart. Fantastic job. Cannot wait for the full release.
Everyone should buy this and support this band, they more than deserve it.
I agree that this song is more simplistic than most of their other work I've heard. Even the progression doesn't seem to be that impressive
Some of the best lyrics ever.
The majority of Rise bands write immature lyrics about their own problems and their anger and you know, a lot of it is just the same. Erra are fresh. Maybe it's just a matter of taste and opinion here, but to me Erra are just bursting with talent! Their ability to write and sing at different speeds, refreshing guitar riffs that more often than not, to me, do have something unique about them.
Idk, I respect your opinion as everyone should, but I think Erra are just a really fresh band. :S
Still gives me goosebumps in 2020
Me too man, check out my instrumental for this one if you like :) ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
2023 and this is still absolutely rocking my world 😭😩❤️
Life is found where it is taken!!!
The groove in this song is one of a kind though.
My ears are thanking me for clicking on this. This band is awesome I can't believe I never heard of them.
Still to this day this album stands out. I mean, the imagery and life this track alone conjours up is incredible. Garrison, you gotta come back.
yes, hes fits ERRA really well
Its not juat garriason its Alan aswell
1:49 - 1:54 This scream♡
I cannot unhear this....
this is their year!! they're gonna absolutely explodeeeeee
I can't be the only one who think the mix sounds freaking awesome!
I'll listen to this album until my last breath.
This album blew my mind. I was a bit hesitant since the tempo was pretty fast through the first couple of songs but after Hybrid Earth I fell in love with this. Fantastic work. My album of the year for 2013 by far. And don't get me started about the masterpiece that is Dementia.
Listening to this song while working out and pushing yourself to your limit is literally the most orgasmic feeling ever.
except for having sex and actually having a orgasim 🙄
+maxwelld23 an*
+jussanother2ool why dont you just go lift some more virgin
+jussanother2ool im sorry bro i was drunk and just talking shit . my apologies.
I listen to them at at the gym all the time!!
Great for pumping iron
The outro is gorgeous
How the fuck you gonna make a lyrics video this beautiful???????!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
This band is great.
The very first Erra song I've heard. And the rest is history.
We need more progressive Metalcore bands like erra and another favourite Elitist.
This band is gonna be the next big thing, I've been saying that since Impulse came out
Most amazing ending i've ever heard to a song.
And they still sound badass, def buying this album
playing gw2 to this is probably the best experience.......... I do have a life i promise
ERRA brought the groove with this one!
ERRA just keeps growing and improving, just comparing Augment to Andromeda is unbelievable.
what about the ERRA ep , thats a huge jump in progress
Oh hell yeah
now what do you guys think?
InfinityReptar horrible lol
I feel like listening to this is like a breath of fresh air. Such amazing music so far! I hope the album comes out soon so I can listen to more! :)
How did I miss this band? Was huge into misery signals. It's very similar but touches on things that lacked in the other band. The instrument tones are of course perfect.
This is beyond perfection
My god this is amazing
This is beauty
Holy fucking fuck, they've transcended beyond my original perceptions of this band. Even their lyricality is infectious haha.
This is amazing. It impressed me at the highest degree.
This is fucking beautiful.
CANT WAIT TO PLAY WITH THEM NOV 8TH
It isn't necessarily lower as much as it is the conditions you have this standard in. They outshine a good number of other bands and they play what they love doing that. Like i said before, this band has quality musical structure, the vocalists match the vocals to those instrumentals very effectively, and they can play these songs live at a level that is not as common today because bands just use studio tricks to sound amazing on track but when they perform you just want to leave.
Let's get this beetch to 100K before the release! :)
I'm excited to see the new Erra. I like this so far!
Still my favorite album of all time. Jesse, Alan, and Garrison were the god mode combo.
Nearly 10 years later ... 1:42 onwards is one of the greatest 2minute snippets in musical history.
No hyperbole. No cap.
I love Erra ever since hearing white noise
Oh man I briefly forgot about this band, and then this popped up on my news list. Soooo fucking excited for the new album, this song slays and Impulse is an amazing record.
I pre ordered without hearing one song and now I can say it was a great decision.
Goddamn, I love these dudes. Pure gold.
This augment album is forever on repeat
Fucking vocals are on point here, the only thing that bugged me about this band before was the singing and they really got it together on this album. So psyched for this
This band is beyond comparison to any other band in my opinion.
the breakdown at 2:22 is beautiful.
Lucas Johnston Ty Mr. Douche. and please explain to me what it's called when the lyrics stop and theres a lovely break in the song progression.
Sorry. That was a douche move on my part.
The guitar at 2:40 is beautiful
This is SO GOOD!
Amazing
I'm literally 100% positive it is there.
3:15 AND UP IS FUCKING BREATHTAKING....
I'm going to need a lot of new pairs of pants if the album is as amazing as this.
This album is the most conscious spiritually charged yet extremely impressive composition musically (and thats an understatement)
Its devine
amazing band.... really talented.. :D
this song is so deep, just listening to the lyrics. i love it.
1:20 Great chorus
their lyrics though
As far as your point with thinking outside a genre goes though, I see that as unfair to say. They play music that falls into the djent genre. That entails they sound a certain way and use tools that other bands in the genre use.
How the fuck does someone get this good at writing lyrics?
Their drummer compliments the music so well, I love it! Each instrument is fascinating to listen to (vocals included). The lyrics are distinguished and engaging.
What more can I say... the album art is great too :)
That's the power of Pine-Sol baby.
Those lyrics are the closest i've seen to being traditional poetical lyrics. i mean that all lyrics are poetry, but there is a chunk of sophistication, a dash of culture, and bundles..of feels
The riffs from 0:40 to 1:00 (very underrated) and 1:20 onwards are so pretty!! Its so powerful.
wow, this video was uploaded the day gta 5 was released lmao. just makes me realise how long ago that was
also, parts like 3:00 are the best parts of ERRA.
safe to say they'll never top this
This was one of those songs/albums that when I first discovered it I couldn't listen to anything else for a good while. Everything just fell short by comparison. Augment is a masterpiece. I made a full guitar cover of Pulse feel free to check it out on my channel is really appreciate it! One love fam.
Grant Sundbye Music I still feel that this is the best modern metalcore album by far compared to anything. Have you found anything that tops the melodically technical beauty and profound lyrical content as this one? Please share!
I could listen to that ending breakdown on repeat for days
EPIC BASS
Moments of Clarity and Drift are both shit to me, old ERRA is waaaaaaaaaaay better
Perfection, this shit is perfection!
To anyone interested. There is stems to this song. I just downloaded them. Hoping they're studio official, but I'm about to find out
SEEING ERRA TONIGHT
NATURE IS AN EQUAL TO MANKIND!
This is the first song I ever heard by these guys. But more importantly, the first metal I'd heard without just chugs and Asking Alexandria-esque lyrics. It was a pretty interesting change of pace at the time.
+oshiet kudafrickinsai You havent heard much metal then.
