Genghis Khan I disagree with everyone of you. The cleans are the only thing I don't like. He kinds ruins this band for me. This record was still pretty legit but was all down hill after this for me.
I will never let go of the changes this band went through. I don't dislike the newer stuff but you can't top Augment in my opinion. The lyrics from Garrison and Jesse and Alan's style is just beyond man. This album will always be my favorite!
Currently using this band to fill the gaps between my main favorite band albums release (fallujah , parkway drive ) I like this band but I really don't like the clean vocals
This used to be one of my lesser favorite ERRA songs for whatever reason. But man that low at 2:58 transitioning into the cleans backed up by those beautifully composed melodic leads is so juicy. The profound lyrics just makes it a transcendental listening experience..
Its my least favourite from augment but then it got me at one of the best sections.. "Life is found where it is ta-keen, a vapour in the wind cycles... replace when the ground is sha-keen, nature is an equal to man'koooiinnd" chills
Well I’ve never heard of ERRA until today but my goodness they are great! I’ve always loved Bands like Of Mice & Men and Bless the Fall. This is band is something else.
The lyrical content is unparalleled to anythig else I have heart, such powerful spiritual music. Anyone who percieves this as any other band obviously is either not spiritual, not applying the allusions to their life, or possibly unable to comprehend/decypher the lyrics.
Their drummer compliments the music so well, I love it! Each instrument is fascinating to listen to (vocals included). The lyrics are distinguished and engaging. What more can I say... the album art is great too :)
This is the first song I ever heard by these guys. But more importantly, the first metal I'd heard without just chugs and Asking Alexandria-esque lyrics. It was a pretty interesting change of pace at the time.
Their virtuosity doesn't come from the allurement of what is being heard vocally and instrumentally, rather, it comes from what is being seen and said lyrically. The use of unconventional and well-written figurativeness drifts ones mind into bewilderment, seeking what is being conveyed. That being said, too many bands today write with literal expression; there's nothing extraordinary about what is apparent, it's about what is unknown.
I love the older albums more as well. I'm gonna do a lot of instrumentals on them. Check out My take on this one if you like ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
I’m not afraid to say it, they are SO much worse now. Back in these days they had the perfect lineup and they really just were on another level. Sucks that it didn’t last longer.
God I can't even get into their new stuff and I still consider them my favorite band. They replaced Atreyu for me and I know they aren't similar styles but early ERRA completely destroyed my taste for like any other style. Sad that Garrison is gone. ☹️ Alpha Seed fucking slays.
@@patrickbryant2687 I totally feel you. I've searched everywhere for a band that could give me my euphoria fix the same way when I first heard Impulse. Couple of bands come close : Secret and Whisper, Shreddy Krueger, Earthists (JP), some of the earlier The Afterimage stuff, but that's about it. A part of me definitely died with their old lineup. Though I feel if The Artificials (Alan's band post-Erra) had a male vocalist similar to Jesse, that'd totally be my new favorite band.
Life is found where it is taken. Those last few parts are so beautiful and so many dont understand. I almost wanna cry hearing those last few verses. Nothing compares. Bringing the knowledge back.
I love Garrison's lyricism, but this time the song as soon as it started, I just closed my eyes and felt the music. These guy make me believe in music again. I love them.
If you choose not to understand the lyrics because of their superior vocabulary then you might just be ignorant. This album wasn't made for simpletons such as yourselves to easily enjoy. It's pure brilliant art for people to decipher and digest. Whether they paraphrased their lyrics to sound more sophisticated or not, it still holds the same message. No one said it was talent. It's a picture portrayed in words and organized sound. Listen. It's brilliance.
I have been listening to Erra since the "E.R.R.A - EP" and they have only been growing as individuals and as a band. These guys are headed for greatness in my opinion.
2018 and still listening to my favorite band!! They are amazing and love the melodic music behind the metal it's perfect for them. Kinda reminds me of Angra 😂
This is really good, I love the Erra sound! Got groove got power leads got sing song vocals, got brootal vocals, and solid screams. I love how the whole band does their part. Can't wait for the album!
Music is about emotion and creativity. Not writing the most complex thing out there. Its a way for people to express themselves however they want. At least thats how I have seen music since I was a kid.
Their guitar player who sings sounds EXACTLY like the the guitarplayer/singer in Our Last Night. This is not a bad thing. This is a good thing. This band is the best band I've discovered this year,
I don't think they destroy all other band's in this genre... they annihilate them. The lyrics, the growls, the cleans, the guitars, the drums, and that all mighty synch are years away of what any other band in this genre can create.
I agree with this guy! Impulse is amazing. So many good songs, Render the Void, White Noise just to name a few. I'm glad this band has evolved in both talent and equipment/production, which enabled them to make their new album sound better. Augment will only begin to show what they're capable of.
With Saosin being one of my favorite bands of all time, naturally this band entices me to the point of obsession. Impulse, Augment and Moments of Clarity are heavenly melodic creations of post-metalcore.
that bass tone touches my vast unknown
I laughed way harder than I should have at this
it touches my ballsack
These aren't just lyrics, this is a spiritual journey depicted into lyrical content.
Yes.Well said.😇✔️
2022 and I still have this on repeat. Not that they didn't ABSOLUTELY crush it on their new album
Man feel absolutely the same
Check out my instrumental version of this song if you like ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
Shit will always slap dude
these dudes deliver
Those clean vocals are fucking godly.
Yes they fuckin are
TheTurpinator They're really good, but I think Jesse's cleans are what make this band special.
+Genghis Khan meh I think the guitar work is what makes this band stand out
Genghis Khan I disagree with everyone of you. The cleans are the only thing I don't like. He kinds ruins this band for me. This record was still pretty legit but was all down hill after this for me.
yeah his riffs are really unconventional
This album is the most conscious spiritually charged yet extremely impressive composition musically (and thats an understatement)
Its devine
2016 and still listening , this is their best album
2018 and still listening.

Unreal no question but Impulse is still king
2020 bitches.
2019 this band is still my escape. Anyone else?
I will never let go of the changes this band went through. I don't dislike the newer stuff but you can't top Augment in my opinion. The lyrics from Garrison and Jesse and Alan's style is just beyond man. This album will always be my favorite!
Wish they'd drop that new album already
Um absolutely sir.
Currently using this band to fill the gaps between my main favorite band albums release (fallujah , parkway drive ) I like this band but I really don't like the clean vocals
2021 and im wondering why its taken me so long
That harp or whatever that is on the second half of the intro is so beautiful oh my god.
Xylophone and yes it’s a beautiful addition.
This used to be one of my lesser favorite ERRA songs for whatever reason. But man that low at 2:58 transitioning into the cleans backed up by those beautifully composed melodic leads is so juicy. The profound lyrics just makes it a transcendental listening experience..
Hell yea! Garrison and Jesse are just so fucking talented
Try listening to erra on lsd. That's a profound experience.

Its my least favourite from augment but then it got me at one of the best sections.. "Life is found where it is ta-keen, a vapour in the wind cycles... replace when the ground is sha-keen, nature is an equal to man'koooiinnd" chills
@@Chubypenguin That's what the song Drift is about 😅
man, this album has been touching my heart recently....just such a masterpiece and such a journey
Still to this day this album stands out. I mean, the imagery and life this track alone conjours up is incredible. Garrison, you gotta come back.
yes, hes fits ERRA really well
Its not juat garriason its Alan aswell
This augment album is forever on repeat
Well I’ve never heard of ERRA until today but my goodness they are great! I’ve always loved Bands like Of Mice & Men and Bless the Fall. This is band is something else.
ERRA is on another level then those bands u named
Perfect aesthetics, perfect style. This album hits like a truck.
Yeah man definetly, I'm doing instrumentals for this album :) ua-cam.com/video/jZ4dbkjxcuA/v-deo.html
This is a masterpiece.
Indeed. It is.
Some of the best lyrics ever.
The riffs from 0:40 to 1:00 (very underrated) and 1:20 onwards are so pretty!! Its so powerful.
1:49 - 1:54 This scream♡
really intelligent lyrics.
this song is so deep, just listening to the lyrics. i love it.
Up there with the best songs on the album.
ERRA just keeps growing and improving, just comparing Augment to Andromeda is unbelievable.
what about the ERRA ep , thats a huge jump in progress
Oh hell yeah
now what do you guys think?
InfinityReptar horrible lol
The lyrical content is unparalleled to anythig else I have heart, such powerful spiritual music. Anyone who percieves this as any other band obviously is either not spiritual, not applying the allusions to their life, or possibly unable to comprehend/decypher the lyrics.
Saw these guys in Dallas back in February ready to see them again.
claytone21 I WAS AT THAT SHOW AND IT WAS MAGNIFICENT
Perfection. Perfect voice, perfect screams, perfect bass with a solo, perfect drums, perfect lyrics, perfect synth.
Nature is an equal to mankind 🙏🏻
I'm in love with this band, not only because of the music, but because of the lyrics, so intricate. One of the best bands I've ever listened to
Their drummer compliments the music so well, I love it! Each instrument is fascinating to listen to (vocals included). The lyrics are distinguished and engaging.
What more can I say... the album art is great too :)
I love the way the guitar and lyrics sound together starting at 0:20
safe to say they'll never top this
that was by far one of the most amazing things i've ever heard in my life!
these fucking lyrics are so damn good...blown away
This is the first song I ever heard by these guys. But more importantly, the first metal I'd heard without just chugs and Asking Alexandria-esque lyrics. It was a pretty interesting change of pace at the time.
+oshiet kudafrickinsai You havent heard much metal then.
Can’t believe this is about to be ten years old. This was around the time I started listening right before this came out
I could listen to that ending breakdown on repeat for days
such an innovative, captivating track.

So... who here keeps coming back to old Erra songs because the new ones just don't do it for you?
I love modern ERRA as well, but nothing will ever come close to the combination of Jesse + Garrison + Alan.
I love the older albums more as well. I'm gonna do a lot of instrumentals on them.

Augement, was the best album they put out yet ( yes, that's an opinion can't wait to argue with unknown people on the internet about that )
I definitely agree. I really do love all Erra but Augment was hands down the best. Looking forward to the new album!

And they still sound badass, def buying this album
Nearly 10 years later ... 1:42 onwards is one of the greatest 2minute snippets in musical history.
No hyperbole. No cap.
Cannot get enough of this band! Heard them when Impulse came out and cannot believe the growth. Absolutely awesome work guys!
We need more progressive Metalcore bands like erra and another favourite Elitist.

This is the best song I have heard released by any band so far in 2013. Amazing.

Buying two copies, one for me, and one for my future kid. Making sure the next generation grows up correctly.

great song erra
The lyrics to this song paint an incredible picture. So sick.
love this band
Everyone should buy this and support this band, they more than deserve it.
the guitar playing is awesome especially jesse cash keep up the work guys
This is the song that started my obsession with this band
Imo, Jesse hasn't matched the vocal melodies from this album yet.
@@drumsno I personally think Erra’s self titled album has Jesse’s best vocal performances on songs like Gungrave, Electric Twilight and Vanish Canvas.

They are heavily influenced by Saosin and Misery Signals. Jesse says they listen to Seven Years between every stop on every tour.
