Hi!
Dave does the solo in some live symphony extended solos. Mostly from late 90s to early early 2000s
Symphony is a great song. But those longer songs on MOP and AJFA are all masterpieces in my book.
true
Megadeth masterpieces are more scattered
Have you heard rust in peace?
@@guitar_jero yeah aha
All the songs on the first 5 albums are masterpieces
Not sure about Symphony, but what definitely sounds much better (in my opinion) than the official version is demo to Countdown to Extinction, the title track for this album. When I want to listen to that song, I almost always go for the demo version.
Same with Psychotron
So true, you can hear the guitar a lot more and the demo is just mixed better to my ears lol
The megadeth demos are so good love the unpolished uncompressed audio
Yeah I agree the should’ve left the guitar part in after the chorus in countdown
I know it won't happen,
But I would love for James and Dave to do 1 song together before they both retire
Correction: one thrash song
As long as James keeps allowing Lars to be on the writing credits he has no part in, Dave will never do it. That’s been the biggest thing that’s stopped it. Dave and James starts talking about it, James insists on Lars getting credits too, Dave backs out.
And no Lars
@@ButtScootBJJ they can released something alone. Like just the two
@@TheDarkEternalKnight07 - Nah they can’t.
if they pulled a harmony on daves solo it would been kinda sick
I started listening to the demo version more, because dave's solo makes me think of it as the aftermath of destruction, while marty's was the climax
so the demo, felt to me, more of a SYMPHONY of destruction :)))
If Symphony was like that, in my opinion will sound like a metallica song TOTALLY, because of the length and because all the metallica songs on the 80's we're a bit long. specially "And Justice For All", that song is really structured
Bringing us the facts while in a warzone! Fuckin' Metal \m/
Peace to Ukraine frriend

"less notes in between"
James Mustaine... I laughed so loud with that
Now I want to hear the demo version but with the final studio recording quality
Listen to the live version in rude awakening, basically better production of the demo
@@cesarlerin or even certain uploads of the 1994 live at webster hall or whatever it is
@@mori4549 true lol
There's just one thing missing from being a metallica demo.
Wanana
Don't know about this one, but the demo of Countdown to Extinction sure sounds better, i'm sure you did chek it out.
I like the …And Justice For All style of music writing.
Dyers eve is so awesome
I only like Dyers Eve and One off the album, writing always sounded a little weak compared to Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets
@@lordrathut Ajfa has some of they’re best riffs
For me the BEST version of symphony is the 1994 night of the living version. That dave solo is SICK!
I think what you don't realize is it's the same chords almost in every song they're just arranged differently. There's only so many notes on a guitar and inevitably they get repeated in song after song from different artists. And this spans all the way back to the dawn of music.
be in metal 🤘🏻

Greetings ferrriend!!
Sounds a lot like The Shortest Straw
And a bit like Of Wolf and Man
James Mustaine lol
James Mustaine 🗿
Hi!
That's awesome!! Lmao
@@lyradguitar OMG you're real!
James Mustaine
i just want you to know that people dont wanna hear you talk, they wanna hear the stuff you're talking about. you only got popular through clickbait and by using the name of cliff burton, a dead man.
That symphony intro sounds pretty bad ass. They should’ve left it…
1:47 I have 01 of 75 of that black V. It's wicked.
All these Megadeth and Metallica conversations were old 30 years ago!
sus
you dont get to hear much of the music, just this dude talking.
Just listened to it and have come to the conclusion that the demo is better than the album version
Who doesn't like a chokey Jerky riff?
Now cover the demo for “Countdown to Extinction,” which was way better than the studio version.
Dave should’ve told the producer to suck it on that one.
Either way Megadeth and mustain is better
“The most famous”? Sure about that bud?
I like the mustaine solo !
Metallideth vs Megallica 🤘🤠🤘
Dave Mustardstain
Honestly I'm glad they cut Dave's solo. It's just kinda boring.
I never realized how long and self-indulgent some of Metallica's intros could be until Mike with Become the Knight pointed it out.
Intros like Harvester of Sorrow, End of the Line, Judas Kiss, and Spit Out the Bone have meandering intros that are too long, feel directionless, and feel like five random riffs in a row.
However, the long intros in Master of Puppets, Battery Blackened, Fade to Black, and One works well. Maybe because they only stick to a couple of coherent ideas, not random riff after random riff.
Metallica and MegaDave might as well be the difference between an Aligator and a Horse . Nothing alike .
Greetings from Corpus Christi Texas! I think all Megadeth demos sound way better than the original songs they are raw to the point unthought of.......
What I don't like about Symphony of Destruction is that after the solo the main riff immediately starts again which sounds kinda boring and simple. I would've liked to hear the guitar ring out on an open E string, Dave sings the first line along with the bass line and after that the riff starts to kick in again. Such a simple change but would've highlighted the part with bass and made the guitar part a bit cooler instead of it being the same riff the whole song.
Hardwired as an album has a bunch of unnecessary fluff, I’m glad a few of the songs weren’t just riff salad at least
The “yeah yeah yeah yeah” just doesn’t fit the song and he sounds bad while saying it.
I actually really liked Dave solo after Marty it adds vibe to it.
Trust sounds like Enter Sandman
I prefer the straight to the point main version but some parts in the demo are cool
It's because at the time they wanted radio hits.
Hope your doing ok my friend, hope music is your escape
Both great thrash bands we love em all
awesome image choice for ellefson 😂 2:04
Dude do you do anything in your life besides overthinking Metallica?
Absolutely nailed it👌
Drums are better on Demo for sure
Badass and noice🤘🏾🔥
Sweet accent, brutha 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤜🤛
He was Metallica. Metallicas 1st full album Kill em All was ll Dave's riffs.
No. No they aren't.
All Daves riffs. Yea if kill em all lt had 3 1/2 songs you'd be right. Closer to say it was all James.
Symphony is their most played song ??? Wtf I think its really far from being their best, not even good
Don't you know it's their sandman???😏
@Fizz N' Chix Enter sandman isn’t that bad (I probably mostly say that because I used to listen to it a lot)
@@GerardoIx I thought it was A Tout Le Monde or Sweating Bullets, but I kinda like both of these songs
It's because Dave made Metallica
LOL No, Dave made the Universe
no man dave created god everyone knows this
No he was just a lead player for a while before being fired.
They made the biggest mistake letting Dave go❤
Pros about demo: Bass is audible, Dave's vocals sound way better, cool bridge.
Cons about demo: Unnecessary intro, there is no "you try to take his baallllss", Dave's solo should have less of the slow part (he repeats it 8 TIMES!), which would be about 4 measures, and I think his solo should literally end on another note.
Con: who asked
@@ky1ewithsty1e No comment that isn't a reply is ever asked for. Being a response: I have a question: why are you being a troll for no good reason?
@@Paolo8772 If there's no good reason, why would you have asked me in the first place? 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
@@ky1ewithsty1e I bet your fun at parties. 28 skulls? I bet you think you're pretty scary. I asked precisely because there is no good reason, idiot. It's unnecessary, unkind and uncalled for, and the fact that you feel as though you need to bolster your nonsensical response with 28 skull emoticon proves my point; you think it decorates a perfect response when it shows you for the troll you are. The fact that you believe your response is a "gotcha" demonstrates that you're the best example of Dunning Kruger effect. That's just plain truth; which is why I don't need 28 skulls to respond. Not even one emoticon.
@@Paolo8772 I'm all of the above. You're one of those nerds that have nothing to do but take every UA-cam comment seriously and write a thesis in response. So I'm going to lead by example.
Who’s gonna tell him
What?
Dave was in Metallica…….. Metallica used Daves technique to get famous…………
Haha absolutely not. Delusional comment
I would have to hear the entire demo to make an analysis you talked through the whole thing.
Please. Metallica have been stealing Dave's sound since he left. Hell check out the video of Kirk reacting to the new Megadeth song last month. He is making some strange faces, like, omg, we have ripped off again. Then yesterday, the new Metallica song drops and it is a complete rip off of of the new Megadeth song, and even some riffs from the first Megadeth album.
Please, you do realise that almost everything Dave does and did is a reaction to what Metallica does, 'countdown to extinction" exists because of "the black album" and the direction musically they went with that album and more importantly the success Metallica had with it, and Megadeath followed. And made a great album , I suppose you believe Dave is responsible for all Metallica's success too, man at times it's embarrassing to be a fan of Megadeath when you hear such asinine remarks like yours.
@@GaryByrne-gd4bu Sorry. They ran out of ideas after Dave and CLiff were gone and ran out of those guys material and from Justice till now it has all been shitty Bon Jovi thrash metal from them. They robbed Dave.
@@kikiki4592Right the two guys that wrote the least in Metallica. You people are utterly deluded.
Dave wrote a few weak riffs and cliff wrote a few bass parts.
Also.... That kirk video was fake to wind up moronic mustaine fan it's and it worked and we'll be back just rips off Metallicas disposable heroes anyway.
@@imagereflection4826 Bullshit. Kirk never wrote a riff that wasnt a rip off. Go blow Lars, kid.
1:06 Sounds anthrax'ish If I didn't know the context of the video I would have said that was Anthrax :p .
