    Property Description:
"Welcome to the Invisible House. Re-launched in November 2022 as a joint venture with Fieldtrip Hospitality."Imagine a piece of modern art…one of the most spectacular homes in the world on all of Airbnb” - Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb. We invite guests to experience the most unique desert home on the planet, and one of the best-known homes in the world: the Invisible House.
This one-of-a-kind masterpiece was designed by veteran film producer Chris Hanley. Featured in countless music videos, television shows and dozens of publications worldwide (including Netflix, Robb Report, Architectural Digest, Washington Post, People, Daily Mail, Dezeen, and Maxim), this sleek 5,500 sq. ft. minimalist retreat is set on 90 breathtaking acres comprising the largest privately-owned parcel of land abutting Joshua Tree National Park.An exploration in contrasts, the mirrored 22-story horizontal skyscraper features an entirely reflective facade that absorbs its surroundings and vanishes into the desert landscape. The juxtaposition of sleek minimalism and ancient desert terrain makes Invisible House a singularly definitive structure in blending modern architecture with the natural world.
You and your guests will have complete access to the 3 bedrooms in the main house and the 1 bedroom in the detached casita. All are outfitted with top-of-the-line linens, bedding, and spa-like ensuite bathrooms. Congregate in the open floor plan and feel connected to nature, no matter where you are in the home. Bring the outside in by opening the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and fully embrace the Joshua Tree experience."

Absolutely should have retractable floor to ceiling blackout blinds/shades/curtains or something throughout the house that can be drawn or raised with a touch of a button in the house or voice activated through alexa or something, for the reason you mentioned, but also because of the blinding and hot desert sun rays that are going to flood that house in the morning and all throughout the day. I know it has heavy tinted glass, but it's not enough. If I stayed there the shades would be drawn down the entire time.

Other people already mentioned the sliding doors and snakes etc, plus the nightview from outside in, just when it is much more important to be invisible from the outside than during daytime. The birds that may not see the house until it is too late, the security against unwanted visitors in such a lonely spot.
Some others: no place for storage, no study or work area.
But there is more: those wide bands of marble around the beds: you can not just go sit on the bed and turn in, you have to crawl in across the marble. A seat at the foot of the bed, yes. At the side of the bed, NO.
Also, the dining area is almost at the other end of the house. I would expect the dining table closer to the kitchen than the seating area.
All together, I can perfectly understand it is a b&b, you stay one night for the experience, and then leave to never come back.

Those concrete pylons probably go down to bedrock. I have a beach house, the foundation company drilled down 23’ through the sand down to bedrock and filled the holes with forms and concrete. It’s code to do that but during a recent tropical storm waves were hitting them for 48 hours. Didn’t get high enough to damage the house but moving water is destructive. No damage to the pylons.

This house is arguably more visible then a regular house painted tan. It’s reflective not see through. So if you are looking at it from a distance it’s noticeable because it causes an anomaly to the surrounding landscape. Plus when the sun hits it it’s going to light up like a Christmas tree. Where as a tan house just blends into the land and doesn’t cause any anomalies to draw attention to it

If one were to live full-time in it, the furnishings would need a rethink and an invisible garage would be a must.
