- While most people live in homes that are firmly built into the ground and are permanently in one place… it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way. People have, for centuries, also lived in floating structures, and modern technology has now allowed for designs to be built that are pretty incredible. From luxurious pads, to homemade escapes, let's begin today's video on the 15 most incredible floating houses.

Wonder how they stand up to storms... I wanna see what happens when tsunami or hurricane hits.

😍😍👍👍👍
It is much more economical to build a clear water lake around a house and under the house with glass floors. We are looking to create a trout stream under a home with glass floors so the trout will be a feature in the living room.
1st with a real comment 😂
One of the structures, the Fennel, is within a couple hours drive of the town i live in. The river in fact runs right past here. The name of the river is Willamette (rhymes with dammit) and NOT William-ette. It's one of the few on the continent that flows north.
I wonder how they get rid of their waste water. For that matter, where do they get their water for drinking, cooking and bath rooms. I didn't notice solar panels, so I assume they either have generators or are connected to the electric grid. What do they do when the lakes freeze over during winter?
Seattle houseboats can't be moved. They are build to stay where they are docked. So they aren't really "houseboats" - it's just rich people with a "pretend" llifestyle.
Did you know: Lake Huron does NOT border Ontario and Michigan. It is in Northern Ontario. Lake Michigan borders Ontario and Michigan. Just saying....😅
