- We finally return to the terminally-overshadowed Gall Force franchise with a look at it's follow up sequel. Does Destruction build on the originals flawed but entertaining narrative or is it proof why this franchise should be left in the cosmic dust.

I simply don't understand how come you don't have thousands of subs. Your work is incredible. Your channel is a hidden gem in UA-cam
There’s always a “why don’t you have more subs” person at the top
@@lrgogo1517 there's always a jaded cynic. But yeah, same
It's because there is no justice I suppose.
There was something " thick" about the designs, and use of color ( for most part) in Gall Force, that I really enjoyed. Everything design wise, had a tactile feel to it. One thing that I always liked was the close up of one ship, that comes out of warp, and the circle of light that opens for the ship, crawls back... like it was in an envelope, being opened, and exposing the ship, from within the bubbled "pouch". Hope that makes sense.
Lovely forgotten series.
Yes! I love the Gall Force series- seemingly forgotten even in this time of 80's/cyberpunk nostalgia. My favorite is the gritty post-apocalyptic Rhea Gall Force- a remake would be pretty cool if NOT done in CG.
YES more gall force!! Been so excited for you to continue on this series, great work as always!!
I really, really hope that there is a reboot of Gall Force in the future, I'd want it to see it as a series, where it could build up on the backstories and personalities of the characters. From what I remember reading in a doujinshi about Lufy that Sonoda actually drew and wrote himself, Lufy actually had a girlfriend, and it showed what some members of her previous crew were, that would be good material to work off of and it easily fits in the Gall Force canon.
We appreciate these great in-depth reviews of old anime! Keep up the good work!
これが、全て『手描き』なのが凄い。メカニックデザインも秀逸。
紹介して頂きありがとうございます。
Loved Gall Force the first movie, never got the sequels so I am happy you at least covered them.
Also the girl with the glasses, she reminds me of Irma from the 80s Ninja Turtles and if memory serves me correct, the first 6 episodes of Ninja Turtles were made in 87 and Toei Animation did some animation work on just the first season of the Ninja Turtles if I remember correctly.
I love it when dead people come back to like because the character was popular.
In Contrapoints voice: "GAAAALL FOOOORCE"
I discovered this series on youtube! I genuiely enjoyed to say the least thanks for talking about it!
Good review. Can't wait for more. :)
bless you for using the “oh my god” clip
Somehow this franchise was completely in my blindspot! Thank you for this awesome take, and I can't wait for the next video on the Gall Force series.
Did Luffy ever find out about what happened to her crew? i'm curious about her reaction to learning the fate of her former crew
It's implied in the third film she found out/knew most of them died. When they find out that the final battle, which involves planet destroyers that will reduce everything to stardust (hence the subtitle of the third film being "Stardust War") she says "It's destiny! All of this...this is our destiny. But, if this our destiny, then why?! Why did they all have to die?" as we see shots of the other four deceased Star Leaf members flash by, and she actually almost starts to cry, saying "Why have I fought until now?"
Hell fucking yeah! a video review.
isn't "Gal" Force as in "that's a pretty gal"
How long until you do the third one in the trilogy?
Who voiced the characters
gall force ftw
I'm curious if you plan on making any videos on City Hunter or Cat's Eye. They seem well received but to watch a show that's 50+ episodes is asking a lot for me these days. You've sold me on many shows already I don't doubt you could sell me on either of those.
You should check out Gokudo dub.It is like early dragon ball meet slayers. The people who helped dub it made the cast fit the characters.
I'd be surprised if you haven't seen Otaku No Video.
I KEEP hearing him saying Gulf Wars, when I know what he's actually saying Gall Force, it's so weird...
