After watching their performance at the VMAs, a new analogy occurred to me to describe them. Dany has always been The Commander since the early days. Pau is the Gunny; essential engine at the heart that makes everything go. And that makes Ale- The Sniper; cool, calm..and lethal.
This song hooked many of us, including me. I seen this done on their 2nd Ted Talk from 2017, and fell head first down the rabbit hole. I'm still in it! We consider it to be a right of passage to see it performed live, in person, at over 100 dba. It's one that hopefully will always remain on their set lists. Please check out their cover of Metallica's "Atlas Rise" recorded live at the Whiskey a Go Go in 2019. It's a rare gem that I think they have only done 3 times, as a request, but OMG... Ale started playing bass when she was 7 (2012), but the girls didn't start playing together until later that year when they appeared at their school's Christmas Festival. AJ I grew up in western Canada close to Seattle in my teens the Wilson sisters were rising to the top of the rock world and were trailblazers for Women in rock. I saw them live many times and I was a huge fan. 45 years later I find these sisters and I agree with you the comparison for stage presence and pure talent is true but I'd give Dany the edge cuz she's playing lead guitar at the same time. Hard to beat Anns voice but Dany is exceptional in her own right. Both Dany and Ann have their sisters to back up and also take lead vocals as well which is so fantastic nothing like sister harmonies. I challenge anyone to listen to this song and sit still. I don't think it is possible. This is one of my absolute favorites from their entire catalog. The groove jam at the second half is just so good and satisfying.

The girls released two albums before independently, and despite being teenagers, both albums are of great quality. You already reacted to two songs from the second album ("Ugh" & "Dust to Dust"), and now "Survive" is the first song you react to from their first album. I recommend you dig deeper into those first two albums. By the time you get to "Black Holes," you'll understand why these girls gained fans around the world as children. 👍

Survive (& When I Am Alone) was written in 2015-16 for their 1st LP XXI Century Blood published in 2017. These songs vibe emotionally with most fans. Many got hooked onto the band after watching Survive from that TEDx at University of Nevada where they were invited back again after their previous TEDx in 2016 at the same venue went viral. The Warning don't give concerts nowadays they hold sing-alongs whether its the Americas or Europe. Probably the only Latin American / Mexican rock band after Santana to make a Spanish speaking audience sing in English or non-Spanish one in Spanish. And yes, you don't get on the wrong side of Pau. Otherwise she will write a song about you. We have seen that in Animosity & Narcisista as well. Suggest you review TEDx 2017 as a whole or in 3 segments.
