Thanks for the close up detailed video. I'll be doing this to my 07 as well. Im going with all new Denso parts. Compressor, evap, expansion and condensor.
It is a good idea to view the Honda service manual for the proper amount of pag oil to add to a compressor replacement. That oil amount is very critical to proper function of the ac system. Too much oil and the system will not be efficient and won't cool properly, too little oil and the compressor may seize up.
This was a great video, but since the compressor was seized, I would have flushed the system prior to installing the new compressor, to ensure debris doesn't take out the new compressor. PAG Oil amount should be measured and any time you open up an A/C system you should replace the Receiver/Dryer. Other than that very nice job!
hi mate!! so my ac compressor have a hole, it was made yesterday while i was driving, the fans stop working but they are new! im wondering if a need to flush the system first or is not necessary
Great question. If there's a hole in the compressor, that would probably mean there was a bearing failure. It's possible there's some metal shavings in the system, but I think the particles would get trapped in the condenser or evaporator though. Being that the A/C system is a gaseous/vapour system it might be ok as is. Hope this helps.
@@UncleTinman DIdnt think about that much, i guess even for air tools the air compressor still needs to be plugged into electricity right? So just electric makes more sense maybe eh?
@@44Aroda That's correct.. and dragging a hose all around. Another bonus is I carry my impact wrench around on road trips incase I have to change the trailer tire (which I had to do a few times one summer)
@@downeastq I ordered from local auto parts supplier, but I would suggest taking a look on rockauto.com. they seem to have a good selection and pricing. Hope this helps. Cheers.
I am about to change the compressor, do you think it is necessary to vac the system after I install the compressor or will it work without. I'd rather not if it's not totally needed. Thanks man!

Anyone know the amount of oil to be added when replacing compressor for 2007-2011 CRV?
Much better of a video than the other ones if found great job!
Thanks you for your kind words
This is the video I needed to see. thank you.
Glad to help

Hi can i ask whats the exact name of the power tool you used to take out the bolts? Thanks
The tool I used was an impact wrench. But you can use any hand ratchet to remove the bolts.. No special tools needed.
@@UncleTinman OK thanks . Yes i know i just want one of these lol.
@@44Aroda Are you looking for air tools or electric? I find electric is very convenient. I never use my air tool anymore.

Where did you get the compressor from? I'm looking for suggestions on where to purchase it from.
And where did you get the o-ring kit.

@@downeastq Yes.. it's best to vac the system to suck out any moisture to maximize efficiency of the system.
