Dr. Hunter knows what she's talking about and not just talking what is the trend in the market, she's saying what is safe, non toxic and promotes good healing supplements internally and externally. I cant wait for her recommendations. Thank you for inviting her, worth to watch.
Wow. This was really informative. Loved Dr. Julia Hunter's approach and joyful openness to share her best advises. Thank you Trinny to make this available for us to enjoy!!! Can't wait to see the list of the products she recommends.
So how would you nowadays replace the traditional scrub-exfoliation? Would you just use your cleanser daily and that would be enough? How about the other cheaper solutions, are they enough? The majority of available acids are glycolic and lactic. Would you recommend any products with the other acids you prefer? Many thanks xx
Just found this I was so excited, love you Trinny but god it was like pulling teeth I gave up half way through 😂 I’m off to look at your blog for vit c’s xx
Love Julia I’m 64 and no one ever thinks I’m that age. What is the best I can do to keep this going? My skin in the last few yrs has gotten dry so not sure how to treat that! I so much love this video
Hello! I have one huge favor to ask. Dr Julia Hunter's web site is very hard to navigate, so can you please help me out, what products should i use for rosacea? Thank you in advance! I fell in love with this smart woman, thanks to you. Nothing has worked for me and i hope maybe her products will.
Doctor you've gotta try TheSkinStuff! All natural. Out of USA. Really feels nice on your skin, super clean and makes your skin look and feel younger! You'd love it.
Hello Trinny! Great video, I love your videos in general about all kind of topics. I am missing little bit of the depth while talking about the exfoliation. What kind of exfoliators there are, how offten should we use on different skin types and ages??? I personally always used just a simple gentle scrub, because I have a dry and sensitive poreless skin, I never had any skin problems in my life until now. Few years ago I got perioral dermatitis caused by bacteria and after trying everything (for 4 years!) I am still fighting that when I am 48. A few month ago I became interested about The ordinary products and I have decided to try lactic acid for a first time as it was the mildest exfoliator the pharmacy had. My skin excepted gracefully and started to glow after a very first time. I am using it once a week, because I am not sure how fast my skin regenerate in my age. The ordinary glycolic acid tonic wasn't working the same way actually, but I kept it for once per week treatment. I don't think it's right for women over 50 or so to use AHA or BHA acids every day, because skin is becoming more thin and we want to keep that, not to make it even thinner. Another thing about SPF protection, how come if can be found in our blood, if it sits only on your skin surface that's what I want to know!
Lactic acid is a fabulous AHA ingredient, it's good for sensitive skin as it's gentle and it's good for drier skins as it works as a humectant which binds water (similar to glycerin and hyaluronic acid). You can build up to using it every day if you want but every other day or a few times a week is fine. The Ordinary offer it in 5% and 10% concentrations. It's absolutely necessary for everybody to protect their skin from the sun, and using acids makes the sun more sensitive to the damage of UV radiation. There is some evidence that when using sunscreens on broken skin (if it is cut for example or you have a damaged skin barrier) it can be absorbed into the bloodstream, but this can happen with any product. Sunscreen ingredients are too large to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin; they're designed to sit on top of the skin and they can either reflect the suns rays back into the atmosphere, or they can absorb the ray and it is turned into thermal energy.
Maybe those scrubs stripped your skin too much?As too many antibiotics can do this to gut flora?Too many strong things let the area we do that on very vulnerable on long term.
I found this incredible interesting but I didn't understand it. We could do with it written down what to look out for in a product, what is good for us and what we should avoid. Looking at some of my products they have sooo many ingredients in them it is mind blowing.
I think Trinny was trying to sum up the things and to get back to the point, because Julia went in to details and the time of of this interview was limited.
@@Xenia-wd6il Yes, plus dr Julia Hunter, was repeating the same ideas too much.I like when an interviewer puts again on track the guest.I have friends that jump from a subject to other and sometimes i need to put them on intial road lol
Thank you 💐 Do we have to order from her US website 😅? Is there any clinic/practitioner in the U.K. that uses/sells her products? Have a nice evening 🤗
The body has to convert ALA into R-LA and when it has to do this you'll be left with less product. The body already recognises and therefore can use R-LA and so it is more potent in this form.
It's just one expert's opinion. Most doctors and scientists disagree about a lot of things. I've had good results with glycolic and I'll continue to purchase it.
Checked out the range but disappointed that she packages some of her products in jars. It's pretty well known that doing so is not that hygienic and the exposure to air degrades the efficacy of many skincare ingredients.
I think she addresses this in one of the other interviews, something about it not being an issue 🤷🏽♀️ the vitamin c is a powder, the peel and serums come in those dropper bottles and the cleanser and vitamin a comes in a pump. Think it's only a few creams that come in jars
Cosmetic scientists wouldn't put their products in jars if they had the potential to oxidise and degrade (hence why vitamin C is never in a jar). In terms of hygiene, given the circumstances in which they are used, there will be sufficient preservatives and parabens to kill off any germs that got inside.
I so want to try her products but I cannot glean any basic info from anything she says. With respect she goes on far too much for the uneducated like me. Please just hold up a product...tell me what it does and when I should use it please!!!!!
She doesn't mean it in a lethal toxicology kind of way, she means it in the sense that toxic ingredients like fragrance will cause inflammation which is bad.
I would so appreciate more discussions with Dr. J T Hunter and her less expensive suggestions for a good skincare routine--thank you both so much.

I just love DR Julia, she is great, thrilled when I saw u were doing another live with her
where to find the list of the "cheaper" products she promised to put together? :/
This was amazing. More of this again PLEASE! !!!
Skincare is like building a house its truly brick by brick and the foundation is exfoliation ....Thanx Trinny and Julia great video...♥️🇦🇺

Trinny, A synopsis of the important points would be great
If you are interviewing someone, Trinny, PLEASE let THEM speak. Stop interrupting.
Drives me crazy when she does this!
Hi. Where can I find the list that Julia will provide about the best products to use? Thx

No glycolic? Then why did Julia do a retinol glycolic body peel on trinny ?
Did she?
I don't think she did, pretty sure it was lactic acid and vitamin A
Do you have to use R-Liopic Acid, or will Alpha Liopic Acid do the same job?
The body has to convert ALA into R-LA and when it has to do this you'll be left with less product. The body already recognises and therefore can use R-LA and so it is more potent in this form.
What is the ingredient that breaks sugar ?
She said R-Lipoic Acid. You can buy on Amazon or supplement stores.
I love glycolic
Opps, ok I have now found the web site. Thanks.
I ve seen that before ...

A doctor using the word “ toxic” in skincare ingredients?! 🤦🏻♀️

What's wrong with the word toxic? I think perhaps you're confusing it with toxin
She doesn't mean it in a lethal toxicology kind of way, she means it in the sense that toxic ingredients like fragrance will cause inflammation which is bad.
