thanks Dr Sepp, for re affirming what I think ,eating like our grandparents did, not eating between meals, taking time to eat, chew properly...all these things my grandmother believed
I didn’t know the way I eat and the hours I eat at was actually a thing...I eat at 10am then nothing after 6pm maybe a herbal tea....I think it does make me feel good... Eating late at night is a huge no no I never feel good if I eat late at night...I eat porridge and I love it like eggs it makes me feel full longer....Thanx Trinny 😘
For what it is worth, I tried intermittent fasting before realizing it was a "thing". My reason was a diagnosis of Celiacs Disease (and other AI conditions but the Celiac was the main reason I did IF) Anyway, before I started to heal from the Celiac damage I was incredibly sensitive to gluten. So much so, if there was the tiniest amount of cross contamination I would end up in bed recovering for 2 days. But I noticed how if I did not eat after the cross contamination that my gut felt better. Then I noticed the less frequently I ate, the better my gut felt. So I looked up to see if other Celiacs were doing this and it turns out IF was a thing and I have been living under a rock apparently. So that was the good part of my IF story. The bad part of IF is, like most things, nothing lasts forever. I ate normally during my eating window but I started to gain weight. Talked to my doctor and nutritionist and they both said they are seeing a lot of middle aged and older women who are gaining weight while doing IF. They also feel it is not good for bones and heart. I completely changed my lifestyle and eat pretty much a Mediterranean diet.. and my health metrics show the amazing results. All the inflammation in my body is way down and my energy is up all because of eating delicious Mediterranean food, eating raw whole food, cutting out the sugar and making the time to exercise no matter what. Sugar was the hardest part. Everything else was a piece of cake. ;)
@@sean1592 , you are very welcome. When I started IF it was a dream. Like Dr Fegerl mentioned, probably because I was switching things up. Or maybe because my poor gut just needed a vacation from all the work it was doing while dealing with healing from Celiac damage. But for the long term, as a way of life, I cannot say it is a good thing for older women anyway. Saying that, based on my experiences and from what I have read, I think doing IF for a couple of weeks maybe is a good way to give our guts a rest. Too bad I am not on instagram, I would have like to have asked him about Ginger and Turmeric. Those two together in a tea have been a dream tonic for my overall health. Mixed with short term fasting, it really jump started my health.
Intermittent fasting is great. I eat beween 10 in the morning and 6 at night. I´m doing it for one year now and already lost 6 kg without doing anything else different. And there is a huge benefit if you are suffering of heartburn or acid reflux in the evening/at night. I can highly recommend it. Just try it.
Gosh such a handsome man! Please talk more about pre and probiotics next time; I’m just learning how important they are! If you take antibiotics or pain killers it destroys your flora which takes 6 months up to a year to recover!
Healthy exercising and eating has alot to do with our blood type. O's need high intensity exercise and meat, A's need mild exercise like walking, and they prefer bread. Im an O, my husband is an A and that blood type analysis describes us perfectly. Thats why pushing a plant based diet is actually quite dangerous for O's , it makes them sick and causes disease.
Please please do more of these sessions, also enjoyed the one with Rosie, so informative and useful. Thank you Trinny and Dr. Sepp
