Tricks We Didn't Talk About: Thank you to @LeonOyaro for remembering Ernie Torres did smith grind in his "Through Being Nice" part And thank you to @FabledCity for remembering Brian Anderson grinder the guard rail and popped into the bank before the fence was there in Toy Machine's "Welcome to Hell" and for also remembering Peter Smolik kickflipped over the guard rail into the bank in Etnies "Hi-5" video
aw shit, right after i complement u guys i see a better help sponsorship. better help is trash, please look into why and find a better sponsor. ik you're just tryin to get paid but don't underestimate your influence on young folks who might not know better than to use a service like better help.
Before the bank was creted over, BA did 50-50 transfer on the guardrail into the bank in Welcome to Hell and Smolik kickflipped the guardrail in Etnies Hi-5. The bank was blacktop back then and the spot looked way different.
I was skating a 7 stair at a church with a big crew (im over 40, 7 stairs is big for me lol) And a guy from the church came out, and we were like " here we go" but he was super cool. He told us to keep skating as long as we weren't drinking, smoking or using the lords name in vain. We stayed for a good hour and tricks went down
Such a great episode. Casually mentioning thinking of possible death while skating shows the level they’re on. How about the best commercial I’ve ever seen!!! You’re repping them at so many spots, genius to record bits at every place you’ve been. It’s like a skate video version of a commercial, many nbds for commercials.
I was gonna say Kanaan should try a noseblunt thinking that would be massive. Finding out he already did is super brutal. To me thats the goat on that spot! You guys kill it ❤
That fence really kicks up the death factor. Usually you guys do measurements of the rail but could you also give the degrees on how steep a rail is? It would be nice to see the differences in the famous rails.
ya but they forgot welcome to hells 1994 Encinitas bank. they think bam 1996 is first nope the first video part for Encinitas gap is welcome to hell 14 minutes into the video
Damn Dern Bros…you take sponsorship promos to an absolutely EPIC caliber👊🔥👊🔥. (And I use that word epic quite sparingly…since IMO it has been way over used & buried in relevance over the years😂😂😂). But for real…you guys crush the promo game. And I LOVE these skate spot history vids…I’m 45 years old…& have been skating since I was around 11…& TO THIS DAY…I can’t drive around any town or city…w/o subconsciously scouting/identifying skate spots everywhere. 👊👊🔥🔥
Glad ya'll are getting sponsors, BetterHelp though is not all that great a partner. They have a history of poorly handling clients personal information, not requiring therapists be licensed, and some of their therapists have suggested conversion therapy to LGBTQ folks. No bueno. Great video though! Love this series
Suggesting conversion “therapy” from just speaking with someone on the phone or video chat is fucking wild. The idea is already wild, but that’s really an insane recommendation having never met in person. Haha
All respect due to the legend, JT, but the fence seems like way more of a mindfuck. Kanaan has the best trick, imho. I saw an 18 today with an impeccable landing, and realized there's a curb and 1 square of cement at the top. Anyway, even looking at it from the top on cam doesn't do justice. This shit doesn't translate to film very well. It's so much more gnarly to see / feel how big an 18 is irl... especially anything done w the fence there. That shit is so much more hectic after seeing a similarly sized set irl
Nice video as always. I feel like that bank was a spot and that was the reason the chain link fence was built. I kind of miss the whole "what else is nearby" and "what would it take to make it skateable again (the bank)" part.
Noseblunt is def my fave, but something about a Back Lip w/ the fence there sent my mind to horrible places😓 @ least on the Noseblunt the fence was in FRONT of u 😅
I agree...noseblunts on handrails are just "...nose slides on the other side of the rail" Not really a noseblunt when you're landing on the opposite side of the object. I wonder if anyone has ever done a conventional noseblunt on a handrail.
i have personnaly one fascination for all stairs since all times i finded still so cool l'architecture of stairs and in skate i love see to skater grind to big stairs really style el toro carlsbad gap " r.i.p" and others stairs. When I used to skate in the late 90s, Jamie Thomas had a reputation for being hardcore or a destroyer, just like another skater-I can't remember his name-who had a shaved head."mike vallely great Video homies greetings from south of France.
While I don't condone interrupting a skate spot, the church is pretty smart by having somene park at the top of the stairs. This way there is no confrontation, and the situation never gets fused.
Do a spot history on Highland Pacific 10 rail/stairs in Highland Ca. Kolb Middle School for Monster kolb rail, the flat bar in front which is in Rialto Ca. Or Bloomington High 9 stair in Bloomington Ca. Maybe Jaquan ledges in La kinda rite by Wilshire spot.
Smolik skated that spot first. Kickflip and front 180 over the barrier down the bank (Voice) the Brian Anderson grinded the barrier and rolled in (Welcome to Hell)
Burman and Brockman were like younger Jamie apprentices.., that same look and level of hammers,, arguable bigger ones at that, considering the progression of trick difficulty over time.. they were pillars in Zero.. they didn't have the more stand out image like guys like Lindsay and Tommy.. they kinda blended in more, but their skill level was up there

Love your content Guys . Stay safe out there , much love , god bless you all.
“Pack it up, boys” 😂😂😂
The fact Kannan doesn’t have the good angle from his nose blunt is criminal
Agree
Fr we needa tell the filmer to send it! In a positive way, but fuckin send it! lol we all wanna see it, that noseblunt is insane
He said Jamie set up the filmers right? I’m surprised Jamie didn’t step in on it lol.
“I’m only gonna ask ‘ONE MORE’ time!”
Right!? It's one of the best tricks there.. ppl should know if you get your stuff filmed.., grab that footage asap ,, bring your own external drive
I mean seriously what the hell!!! The people need to see it
Nose blunt is crazy. That second angle hold out is wild.
Seriously tho..

Yeah there's angle finder apps that would work good enough for reference
Gabbers sending a nosegrind down it to dido is just… priceless
That lady with the car kicked you out in the most passive aggressive way😂 Maybe she thought it was gonna be an argument
