While I love the rear lounge concept, it has a deal killer design flaw. Can only stretch out full in east/west position. No tight space to exit around, so one party is required to climb over their sleeping partner in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

But it is good for tall guy like me 6’2. Leisure Travel Van RL has a bed shorter to make a space on the right to do what you said but the bed is shorter

With the Tiffin’s on the Mercedes the OCCC has always been an issue

The Wayfarer new 25 RLW 2024 apparently from a TIFFIN seller has 1200-1500 lbs OCCC because it has NO SLIDE and NO PROPANE (no propane tank). And it is the only reasonable choice within the TIFFIN Wayfarer models. All other models have only 740-840 lbs OCCC and i agree are not usable. BUT The new 25 RLW should solve that issue. it is the only one without a slide which is very heavy with TIFFIN . if you also in addition of that remove the Generator qd 3200 (202 lbs) and the Heavy AGM Batteries or optional Lithium batteries and install instead a NATIONS Dual Kit Alternator and VICTRON KIT 660AH 3000W inverter OR a Xantrex KIT XANTREX Batteries 620AH and Xantrex XC PRO 3000 W inveter OR a Lithionics Batteries Kit 620 AH with Xantrex or VICTRON or MAGNUM Inverter and WAKESPEED WS500 regulator with the NATIONS Dual Kit ALTERNATOR 280A, you will have a reasonable cargo capacity that allows two or three person with a dog. Also you would have a VERY BIG battery allowing to do Boondocking and running the A/C for several hours, and charge the battery at idle and with a solar kit. ALSO with all these Class B+ VAN, A very good idea is to attach a small 4X6 trailer, which add only 100-130 lbs on the tongue so it reduces the OCCC of 130 lbs, BUT it allows to add 3000lbs of cargo stuff. so you keep just the essential in the van. I have a Pace America, and it would be great option with the sprinter. i could bring 10+ water bottle of 8L to inject in the van water tank when in camp ground. You can bring also several 20L jerrican of diesel to refill on the road to extend your trip or in a remote place to add energy for the furnace and water heater. You can chairs, table, portable fridge 12V , padleboard, camping stuff, pergola.. when you are in the campground you detach the Trailer and immediately gain 130 lbs off the tongue to use it to fill more water and for your grey tank and black tank. You can also use the VAN to go in town or in the dump station without the trailer that you use as a SAFE on the campground, with locks. a 4x6 is perfect for a sprinter van or a transit van.
The only issue i see with the TIFFIN Wayfarer 25 RLW is the roof layout and size which is limited by the Bunk Section. Leisure Vans does not have it and they can place more solare panels of 100W up to 400W. TIFFIN propose only one 190W. it is definitely not enough. I look closely at the roof and i think by moving a item on the rear right, they could install a second 190W easily, but 380W is still not enough, they would need another 190W to go to 570W. A Solution is also to add a second MPPT Controler with a MC4 plug user accessible which would allow connecting 2x300W external panels in addition of the roof panel. It is to my opinion a very good solution as sometime campground location are very shaded with trees. External panels with a 40 feet cable, would allow finding the sun more efficiently. if they combine 3x 190+ 2x 300 = 1175W theoretical chaging capacity - 30 % for the loss = 819W or real charging. That would be very good with an average of 5h of suns per day. With addition of that, the dual alternator kit allow charging up to 150A at idle and up to 264A during driving. a 660A bank battery would be good enough, with a good ration ENERGY/WEIGHT.

I really like the layout of this RV but I would prefer a propane cooktop instead of induction.

You can choose the RLW 25 with propane or with the Elwell Diesel and electric. if you pick propane, you have the propane tank that add weight to the coach but you get the Propane burner cooktop and the furnace works with propane with the Truma AQUAGO Comfort plus instant water heater. If you pick the Elwell Diesel electric, they removed the propane tank, and put an induction cooktop. To my opinion the Elwell Diesel Electric is better as you don't need to find propane station sometimes difficult to find and also propane is more dangerous, and some stations have unqualified personal, and not all stations are compatible with ON BOARD RV Tank but only allow to replace the tank that you find in simple Travel Trailer. You cannot heat during driving as it is forbidden to use the propane. Also the propane tank must be close in tunnels. With the Diesel Electric you don't have these limitations and you can bring several jerrican 20 L of diesel in addition of the 92L Diesel chassis tank and stay in boondocking much more longer. The ELwell is very efficient and works as electric in shore power. However, the current Electric features offers by TIFFIN are not enough.. Only One 190W solar panel and 200ah batteries are not enough for both usage of a 12V Compressor fridge and an induction cooktop. For this option, I would install a full VICTRON Kit 2x 330 AH (660AH total batteries) and inverter (MULTIPLUS II 12/300/120) with NATIONS dual kit alternator and would remove the very heavy (202lbs) generator useless and very noisy and not very reliable. There is also possibility to Put two xantrex 310AH = 620H and Xantrex XC PRO 3000w. Lithionics offers some kit as well. MasterTech or VANLIFE OUTFITTERS propose installation of such kits.
TIFFIN Should also replace the old 15000 BTU with heat pump with the latest TRUMA AVENTA A/C which is much more efficient and less noisy, with a nearly silent night mode.

It's too expensive, and things of that nature.
