Rat-children, chuas. or mice are children or adults suffering from microcephaly, exploited as beggars situated in Gujrat City, particularly the Shrine of Saint Shah e Daula, and elsewhere in Pakistan. They have sloping foreheads, narrow faces that resemble rodents, and are often intellectually disabled and dependent on others.
Begging rings and gangs allegedly place iron bands around the heads of healthy children to induce cranial deformation. The Shrine of Shah e Daula, home to many of the rat children, is a common pilgrimage site for women and married couples who wish to bear children. Ignoring a rat child's plea for money is thought to bring bad luck.
Actual name is Shah e Daula is Kabiruddin Ahmed.
Syed Kabiruddin Shah e Daula Daryai Ganj Bakhsh holds a special position in Suhrawardia and Chishtia chains of Sufism. He was born in 1554 while death year is 1676. His father's name was Abdul Rahim Lodhi who was the grandson of Sultan Bahlul Lodhi. Mother's name was Nimatullah Bibi, who was the granddaughter of Sultan Sarang Khan Gakhrak.
On his grave inscription, he is written as Mureed e Khas and Khalifa of Hazrat Ghaus Pak Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani, but this is wrong. Syed Kabiruddin Shah e Daula, who was a follower of Hazrat Ghous Pak, is called as Syed Kabiruddin Shah e Daula Baghdadi, Sahib-e-Irshad and successor of Ghous-ul-Azam in India and Shah e Daula Sarkar. According to the history of Sufism, his real name was Syed Kabiruddin Ibn Syed Musa Hanbali Baghdadi. His father was a close friend of Ghaus Pak. His place of birth is Baghdad and year of birth is 1100 AD. The mausoleum of Syed Kabiruddin, Kabir Awalia Shah e Daula is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
According to Tazkira Ulya Pakistan, Shah e Daula, who is buried in Gujarat, spent his childhood in a state of poverty. A man named Ali Naqi sold him to a Hindu couple for 200 Ashrafis. Many miracles took place on this occasion. Once he said to the wife of this Hindu Lala that your sister is coming today when there was no possibility but she arrived in the evening. When Hindu Lala asked about Ali Naqi, who had sold him, he said that he had been killed with a spear by a prince. A brother of this Hindu Lala was missing for a long time, when asked about him, he told him that he is alive and you will find him tomorrow. After seeing many such miracles, he liberated him.
His spiritual lineage reaches back to Bahauddin Zakariya Multani. He first pledged allegiance to Syed Sarmast, also known as Shah Syedan, who lived in village Sanghui near Sialkot. He was in his service for 12 years. Moko was a follower of Syed Sarmast. When Syed Sarmast's last time came, he called Moko, but he did not wake up from his sleep, on which he gave Kharqa e Faqiri to Syed Kabiruddin Shah e Daula. After the death of Syed Sarmast, he moved to Sialkot for ten years, while in 1612 he moved to Gujarat.
Shah e Daula was not only a Sufi but also engaged in social activities. Shah e Daula Daryai also built many bridges and mosques. Every Thursday and Friday, people used to come to him for healing and to express their needs. His generosity was like a river, that is why he is called Shah e Daula Daryai. His gathering was the gathering of kings. The needy people kept coming. He also did a lot of work for public welfare. Build many bridges, ponds, wells, mosques and inns. The langar was continuous all the time. The children who had small heads, which people today call Shah e Daula's rats, would have served them a lot if they came to him.
