After having the Oculus Quest 2 for a few months and failing in properly linking it up with my PC and Steam, I have finally found the main culprit as to why I was having an issue. I don't know how many people if affected by this but if you run Citrix Workshop while also running Steam, it for some reason causes you games to not run properly or at all. And also for some reason caused my mouse cursor to drift to the top of the screen when an active Steam program open such as SteamVR or just trying to run a game like Cities Skyline. I found that if you disable Citrix via Device Manager, you will no longer have issues. Just remember to reenable Citrix when you need to use it again. I hope this helps even just one person with a similar issue as it had me quite frustrated.

dude ty, without you i couldn't play no man's sky!
"should be able to install this in less then 5 minutes" ive had to trouble shoot for 3 hours, speak to unresponsive nonhelping customer support, and I still cannot launch the software for my oculus quest 2, it literally just grey screens.
Same thing is happening to me rn, it has me sign in and choose a logo and then just goes grey
@@joeyp7452 same. Did you find a solution
@@codstertv7366 nope I tried for 3 hours and nothing, I just emailed customer support and gave up lol

My Quest 2 screen just goes black when I click enable connection. I can hear this video's audio through the headset speakers. Anyone have a similar issue?

@@wildkeith i have a gtx 1660 oc 6gb. it doesnt have a ucb-c input. do you have to fix it or do i need dto buy a hdmi adapter?
@@alanbootje3695 Your card is compatible. You just need a USB-a to USB-c cable and a USB 3.0 port on you motherboard. That's supposed to be the way it works, but I'm still having the same issue.
@@wildkeith yea me to. it loads in but i have a black screen. and if i go to steam vr i can see my controllers on my monitor but i have a black screen on my oculus. its fk weird man.

Not sure you might be able to get an extendeder that has a USB c port. Maybe try that?
How in the world have I been looking at videos for hours to help me with my issue and the entire time my USB was just backwards
for the oculus quest 2 since it is supposed to be wireless do you still need that black cable to connect your vr to your pc? or do you have to buy it seperately?
@@natty3674 I think you can do it wirelessly, but there’s better quality and it just overall runs better with the cable
