When i first ever saw your channel , i thought you had over 1 million subscribers because the quality of your videos are absolutely amazing . I enjoy watching your videos very much and you are very under rated . keep up the great work .
I have the Rift S and recently added the Quest 2 to my inventory. With the Quest 2, Virtual Desktop, AirLink, and all the freedom that comes with untethering from the PC, this video is right on target as an excellent introduction to all the cool features that come with this HMD.
I wish they made the security feature in a VR-Vault environment where you'd have to punch digits into a security panel to open a door giving you access to the Quest! Great video btw! I learned so much. Just placed an order on one of these :D
@@jakethemistakeRulez Unfortunately the current home environment is just a standing picture warped to work with VR.... the Rift S home was more enjoyable (could do stuff there compared to now)
Thanks for the tips. I bought a meta quest for my kids for Xmas. Since I know little about modern technology , it helped to make sure they can open it Xmas morning and play it. I have it charged and account already set up. Can’t wait for Christmas morning. 😁
Great video and production value, thank you! You are the reason I got a Meta 2, never consider VR before but you always make the usage and activity easy to use and do and so far I AM LOVING IT but definitely want the next versions of VR, seems like the technology is just getting started!
How has it been for you? I've been having problems with mine (specifically CableLink/AirLink).... the only solution i found that works is to start the oculus-driver app within the support folder to connect anytime i unplug from the PC
@@SkyesVR LOL yeah i still have it and love it so much its kinda heavy on the head tho but honestly thats my only problem with it i can only recommend it:)
I just got my first ever VR headset 2 days ago and this was super informative, I figured out most things you mentioned on my own but I never would've known about tip 42 I think it was where you can stretch the windows of your tabs😆 I also like posting content so thank you for including how to extract video files from the MQ2 to your phone or computer! 2 years later and this video is the most useful information I have found on the MQ2! Keep it up Nathaniel! Definitely subscribing to you and most definitely gonna watch your next tip guide on MQ3 when I will be able to afford that one.
I just used a similar app, I tried to measure as accurately as possible (which is actually surprisingly hard) and according to it I have 67.5 IPD, reading 64.5... That would suggest using either the setting no 2 or 3... which is weird because the setting I'm most comfortable with is between 1 and 2 🤷🏼♀️
I just got the quest 2, but I dont have the upgrade to 120hz option. Im in the "experimental features" and I have the bring your couch and desk options. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I some how missing an update?
Great video. I've had the headset for months and learned a few things. If you get lens inserts (I recommend the Reloptix brand) the Elite strap will help balance the headset and make it far more comfortable to wear. Thanks for the excellent content.
mine arrived on Tuesday and I'm blown away. coming from Playstation VR to this has been a crazy experience. and half-life Alyx....don't even get me started....effin' amazing
The phone app integration looks nice. Is there not a virtual phone you can pull up while in the headset that screencasts with your phone? If not this needs to be a thing.
Of course. As long as you continue to use the same account you will forever own a copy of purchased games. I can't think of a time where that wasn't the case in gaming, even when it was all with discs. Even then you had a permanent copy that could be reinstalled.

but with cables you can use the quest while it is charging.. otherwise you have it for only 2 hours and then recharge for 2 to 3 hours.
@@cheesecake4648 I found an aux battery on Amazon that extends play time to 8 hours, plus it counter balances the weight of the hmd.
Awesome. Brand new user with no VR knowledge. This really helped with learning the device.
