Hey is there a option for fast recording just like with hand tracking on your right hand where u hold your right hand and you choose to start/stop recording?
It's not a single click away but it's still pretty easy to get to, just do this... press the Oculus button on your right controller. Click the Share icon. And then click the Record icon. Alternatively, if you have voice commands set up then you just have to double press the oculus button and then say 'start recording.' Hope that helps and let me know how you go.

I’ve never bothered with them myself. Plenty of options out there to choose from though. I’d definitely recommend covers for the rings on your controllers though.

I am very new with the quest , have tried to add my sofa but in the experimental tab its only 2 option to choose from ,to reset experimental, Wi-Fi refresh and some sort of swipe off but cant find the sofa

Do you know where display theme is where dark and light mode are? I cant find them anymore
It used to be in the experimental tab in your system settings. However, for me at least, it's disappeared now. No end of turning experimental features on and off and hard resetting the device seems to make it appear again. That is the problem with any experimental feature as Meta can remove them at any point. It's a shame as I think it's a great option to have. It would have made it as a tip in this video had they not removed it. You might find that it comes back again. Only time will tell.

Better then putting on night mode just get a 10 dollar pair of blue blocker glasses and you won't have to give up the color saturation. Thank you for that double tap. That is a life saver!

This video was helpful but I did sadly not understand how to get to the Referral place.
I charged my oculus with the charger it came with and the charging port still melted although if it does happen you can just contact the support people and they will have you mail it back and they'll send you a refurbished headset

However, in the "experimental" tab, I don't see any multitasking options.. I don't see many options there actually, just FB voice command and some other for room furniture I believe...?!???
As of v39 of the quest firmware, multitasking is no longer an experimental feature. Features often move out of this tab once Meta have matured them. To access Multitasking, you'll now have to click and hold the supported app icons that appear on the universal menu, then drag them to either side of your open browser window.

Holding down Oculus button does not recenter standalone view anymore since latest update. It still works on Oculus PC for now
Sounds like a bug rather than a deliberate change. What firmware version are you on?

I just received my Meta Quest 2. Awesome! I have purchased a charging station. My question, the control triggers depress in their holders. The headset is turned off. Will the AA batteries drain because of this?
No charger should be pressing the triggers of the controllers down. Sounds like they're not being docked properly.

What happens when I place the controllers in the holders, the side triggers will depress. This dock charges the headset only. I guess another way of asking is, if I depress the triggers while not playing a game, will this drain the battery?
To be honest, I don't know if it would drain the battery or not. It certainly could depending upon how the controllers are programmed. In my opinion, no stand or holder, regardless of product, should be pressing in buttons when you are holstering your product. That's just bad design.

I don’t have iPhone 14 So how do I get pass the app download part ?
I assume you’re talking about The oculus app? It’s is available for both android and iPhone in their respective stores.
When I turn on my Q2 sometimes my controllers do not show up. I have to turn it off and on many times. Sometimes trying for 20 minutes. Sometimes they show up right away. What can I do to fix this?
have you checked the battery level on your controllers?
If the app does not keep crashing on iOS :P have to uninstall and reinstall to get it working again.

A word of advice, do not use a lock pattern. If you mess up and forget what the pattern you set was, you will have to do a factory reset and you will find that all the games you installed will have to be downloaded again. In my opinion it is not worth the bother.
That almost happened to me very recently! I couldn’t remember it to save my life. I was searching for any way of getting it back without a factory reset, of course no luck.
I have no idea how, but one morning I put the headset on And I made a star shaped pattern… voilà! Either I had help or I just stupidly stumbled across it. THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE!

Are you talking about the pointer in the home menu on your headset?
@@MyTechGearGamingI guess. They worked just fine then next day they won’t point. I paired them to a different headset an they worked fine . I done factory reset on headset and still can’t get them to point.
If you paired them to a different headset then am assuming you'd need to pair them back to your original headset. Not an issue I've had myself though so just trying to things that might help.

There’s a number of things you can try. The easy ones first are remove the batteries, wait a minute, and then put them back in. You can also try holding down on the stick and then blow into it. That could dislodge any dust that might be causing it. Also try repairing the controllers with your headset. If all else fails then you’ll need to dismantle the controller and clean the joystick with some cleaning solution. If you’re in warranty though you can also contact Meta directly with the fault and they might just replace the controller for you. Hope that all helps.
You forgot to mention that you can just use Bluetooth headphones! Its really good too, they always connect automatically.
You can, but I found the lag whilst gaming wasn’t great. I’ve actually just done a review of a pair of wireless earbuds that are explicitly made for the quest headset with super low latency. You should check it out here

When you delete games, are they available later to reload?
Yes. Once you buy a game you can delete it and reinstall it a later date if you want which is handy if you start to run out of storage on your headset.

Ready player one is my favorite movie I've seen it like ten times it's what I want in real life it doesn't have to be exactly but close they can't make us in a virtual world but look close to realistic like your touching a beach or Taylor swift maybe in her concert or new theater movies instead of going in person they are next to you in vr times changing proof all these ai robots but they can't completely replace humans who know maybe it'll be like I robot movie or ghost in shell constant hacking who knows
I clean my lenses with Paper towel and is fine.
Be careful of micro scratches on the lenses as a paper towel isn't the smoothest of surfaces. A camera lens cloth or sunglasses cloth or similar would be a better option.

Do you really need to buy a router? I thought a lot of the ISP modems act as routers/hubs? Is that not the same?
You’re right in that most ISP’s give away routers now. The days of a seperate modem from your ISP then connected to a seperate router are long gone. As long as you have a router than supports 5GHz wifi you should be ok with that.

Yes after 22 hours and 78% it took off and loaded the last 22% in a couple minutes

What is a meta quest where is the oculus
Facebook have rebranded 'Oculus' to 'Meta' and are in the process of rolling this change out. So the Oculus Quest 2 is no more, it is now known as the Meta Quest 2! It's a branding nightmare though as no-one really knows what to call it at the moment! 😁

well I did have 40 tips to get through! 😁 You can slow down the play back speed (and speed it up too) of youtube videos. It's in the settings icon at the bottom of the video when it's playing, if that helps.
So you just are repeating things that the headset tells you. Maybe you could read a phone book sometime.
