am i watching a different video as per my eyes open, picture quality is almost identical really. in my humble opinion, it's all about the person knowledge in photography. My 60 yr old brother in law who points and shoot in taking pictures with his ip 16 pro max takes 7/10 photo quality. whereas mine for my ip 13 pro max is superior like 10/10 because i know my photography do's/don'ts. plus, for now i am not a fan of 5x, i still prefer the 3x image photoshoot

Same. I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro. That feels like a bit of a compromise from the phone features I wanted when I had to upgrade from my iPhone 8 Plus due to storage size. Between the 13 and the 16 line there doesn’t seem to be enough of a difference to warrant purchasing a new device for most people

I have the 15 Pro in 128 GB, so upgrading to the 16 series is NOT worth it. Maybe in another 2-3 years when the 18 and 19 come out. Prior to the 15 Pro, I had a regular 11 that I traded in at 128 GB at 74% battery health after 4 years in Product Red that I had since September 28, 2019 for the 15 Pro that I got October 19, 2023.

16 Pro Max obviously. The only question is how much do you value the extra battery life! You you don’t do heavy tasks, (UA-cam is one) having 1 Day vs 1.5 Days doesn’t justify the extra 💵
Truth be told the iPhone 13 Pro Max was a beast during its time and it is old now those not seeing a need to upgrade you are delulu wait until the Apple Intelligence comes out you all will be feeling left out,proud owner of an iPhone 16 Pro Max the new BEAST

I had a 13pm that I was able to sale for $400 and my best friend sold me his 15pm for $650 so I was able to get the 15pm for $250 plus I added a new battery so it was still an incredible deal!

Also he had a Apple Watch Ultra 2 and he really wanted the black color mind you that he literally had the natural titanium one for 2 months and apple offered him $365 and he sold it to me for that so I got 2 amazing deals!
I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max but the lightning port is buggered from frequent connects to my car stereo system. So, I'm going to upgrade just to get the USB-C charging port. Otherwise, I wouldn't upgrade. Darn...
@@Techsumer It turns out that I'm a dope. I read somewhere about another person having the same problem. They took a toothpick to the lightning port and got out a bunch of lint. I checked my iPhone and found lint, too. Took a paperclip, dug it out and it's fine now. DOH! Thanks for the video. I'll be keeping my 13 pro max now!
If you have 13 or older upgraded if you have a 14 and up it’s up to you there’s definitely a big difference between the 13Promax and 16 Promax in every way inside and out
But the iPhone13ProMax doesn't have 8GB memory, 6.9" display, Action button, Camera Control, no Apple AI compatibility, better battery life, better heat dissipation, better microphones, better speakers, A18Pro chip, Dynamic island, USB-C, USB3 speed, titanium, etc. It's old now! iPhone16ProMax is way better. I'm keeping my 13PM as a back up.
It’s actually time to upgrade you can sell your 13 pro max for decent amount right now, it’s been 3 years with my 13 pro max, literally the best phone I’ve ever had, lets see how 16 pro max will be 😊
The camera comparison showed that the 16 Pro is better yes, but I also believe it demonstrated how good the 13 Pro Max still is! Impressive results!

I bought the 16pro but returned it after 5 days and kept my 13p and replaced the battery. Still a great phone. Will reconsider when 17p comes out.
A new battery it’s much cheaper and it can solve most of the issues you probably had on your 13 Pro Max! Good decision!

Very true! The telephoto focal range is subjective, for me I prefer the look of the 120mm😅

USB C, higher resolution, larger display, smaller dynamic island, larger 48mp camera, 5x optical zoom, 2000 nit peak brightness, AOD, AI, smaller bezels, lighter material, 2gb more ram for better app management, satellite connectivity, larger battery and longer battery life. It's just everything added together, 3 generations later, I might do it.

If you value all of those things, but specifically USB-C and the new camera system, go for it!
