He always does a great interview hes a good lad
That thing looks dirty fast! Even with the unfortunate absence of Jan, I’ve never been more excited to watch a race unfold in its entirety
Me tooooooo. Oh boy, it's gonna be so sweet.
Really down to earth guy. It was great watching him win at IM Cymru/Wales last year. Lovely bike, can't wait to see the retail price though!!! Great Vid
Oh, no doubt, that won't be cheap. lol
Love interviews with cam. Great work.
He was great, hey!?
Thanks for bringing us your perspective Taren. I’m really looking forward to your race day report.
Nice video. However it’s hardly an average age grouper bike because you’ll need a gold mine to be able to afford one.
shaun houlahan that’s true but I guess whoever is racing in Kona is pretty OK with money 😂👍🏻
Cam Wurf is hardly an age-grouper!
Triathlon Taren I realise this. My comment was about the reference to the bike being suitable for age groupers. It certainly looks fantastic. I’ve no doubt he’ll go very well riding it.
@@shaunhoulahan4080 I agree, the pro's and there $1200 pro license to race , can race more money wise than AG , plus and not shelling out the $ to buy the bike or other gear . I am happy with my $3000 bike, since my 1st race in 1985 with a $200 bike
Good stuff, thanks for bringing this to us Taren!
Outstanding bike review with good explanation of details and good close-ups of the the various areas of the bike. SWEET!
Dream bike.
But I would have to win the lotto to be able to afford one.
I dread to think what the price tag on that build would be.
Please correct me if I got anything wrong. The wheelset is about 1.800€. The Di2 is around 2.200€, Frameset should be between 3.500€ and 5.500€(just an estimation if you compare it to other tri bikes). Ceramicspeed bottom bracket and a great saddle cost about 220€ each. Add 100€ for the tires and tubes and the price for your power meter of choice et voilà, you pretty much have the price of a bike like the one you see in this video.
The regular Bolide Frameset is ~10,000 GBP (which is $16,000 CAD).
I can't imagine this frameset is going to be any less than this.
And you forgot to add a carbon cockpit (base bars and extensions)
@@richardhudson4649 okay, that's just ridiculous. I didn't look at the price of the normal bolide. I looked at the price of the Scott Plasma 5 and others. They all come with the cockpit and storage systems(if available). That's why I didn't add them. But thanks for the information
Love, LOVE his confidence!!!!! Crush it, Cam!!!! You can/should be on the top step!!! Sub-8 for sure!!!
Look who is getting all the big time interviews? 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 nice job Taren!!
Just wait for the Lionel interview!!
What an amazing bike! Wish they were just a bit less expensive:)
Cool review of Cam's bike. He's the bike record holder...no reason to believe he can't do it again. Although Starky is certainly going to go balls to the wall on the bike, we know that much.
The bike leg comp this year is going to be awesome to watch! Can't wait.
Continental and Pirelli tyre combination? Is there any reason behind it?
Didn't ask him! Must be though! They don't do too many things at this level without putting quite a bit of thought into it!
Bold claim I like that ! Overall win + sub8 that would be quite an achievement but when you see Frodo with 1'06"30 at 70.3 worlds you definitely want to up your game I guess !
Least it's not as fugly as the new shiv!
Is fast ever ugly though?
@@TriathlonTaren if I had 10k spare I would atleast try it out
Sorry not everyone wants disc brakes don't just make sweeping assumptions...I think they are totally pointless for road bikes.
@@picklerick3525 look disgusting though
Can not believe the fastest rider on the island wears Crocs. Come on Cam, your better then Crocs 😀😂🤣😅😆
Lily King wears Crocs too.... Olympic gold and a World Record holder.... hmm maybe it's the Crocs
The man needs comfy feet when he's preparing to blaze past everyone on the course!
**you're
What is the high of the rim profile front-rear?
Bolide the king of bikes!
What size is his frame?
Good interview 😎
What is that sticky sticker on the saddle? I want one!!! I seem to slip forward when cycling and if I tilt the saddle back, the nether regions will be in jeopardy 😂
Actually Cam told us a funny story about that saddle... it belonged to Richie Port, the Aussie pro cyclist, who gave it to Cam one day, and he said it's the best one he's ever used! The sticky bit is the clincher!
@@TriathlonTaren I heard once (if Im not wrong) that some pros stick sandpaper on their saddle and base bars to avoid slipping. Don't forget the cost of a trisuit one will ruin after a couple of hours ride maybe..not applicable unless you have a sponsor 😉
Quality vid
what kind of tape he puts in the saddle??
It's not tape, it's part of the saddle.
Triathlon Taren , thanks
I think Lionel needs to upgrade from his Garneau next season....
Wait til you see our video coming up with him!
I think and hope Lionel learnt about the over training consequences and result!!!! Too much Media exposure and almost unnecessary load of training!!!!
He needs an experience coach who he can trust. You can't be playing around with diets, workouts and bike position leading up to a world champsionship. He needed to be looking at how to get to the best form and that starts a year in advance. Only have to look at Chris Froome and sky as the innovators to this.
I wonder why he didn't go for a one-over and get rid of the small ring altogether...?
Gotta be a reason, these guys don't leave anything to chance!
@@TriathlonTaren Absolutely, as a newbie to the sport, would be great to hear the conversation around that. Keep up the awesome work mate!
Who won the cycleops trainer?
Someone whose emailadress looks something like this: adaxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx
Thanks. Obviously I was hopeful it was me.
I understand, same here. Alas! Maybe next time.
We'll be contacting the winner shortly!
Nice
That bike is more than $20,000! But his finishing time still couldn't compete with the winners as far back as 1989 when the bikes were made of metal and nutrition on the run included peeling oranges. That is a lot of money for not much gain.
Has the hub on wheel small but skewer is sticking out because of axle. Sorry bro you're no Richie even if you name drop as much as possible and ride the same seat. The bike is nice and looks like the cervelo p4. Honestly the fork is hideous on the bolide
he says "simple" but Pinarello Bolide is expensive as hell!
Ok, Cam seems like a decent dude. But...riding with Froome? Ummm. And, if you've seen him in Thereabouts 2, he's about 20 pounds heavier than this. So, maybe Froome suggested some training tips?
Honestly, where did his forearm veins come from? Those were NOT on display in Thereabouts 2. Something is up.
fastest coach in ironman - unbeatable in the pro tour - thats palmares
In crocs.. what the. Love the bike though.
The man likes to be comfortable!
All this "3D-printed box" just why? Sure! Print prototypes and test in windtunnel; then make a mold for a carbonwrap.
sick house he is renting
RIGHT? It was unbelievably gorgeous.
Fastest rider. Every company has the "fastest" bike.
I would like to say I don't mean that to sound shitty. Wurf is a freakin' badass and the bike is beautiful.
please learn the proper pronunciation. Boh-Lee-Deh!
Cam is a troll.
Such a good one tho.
This aged well.
Disc brakes are pointless and overly complicated...
