Great unit for the first new years, after that the replacement parts eat away the savings from the efficiency. Thinking on replacing the blower motor on my old unit or getting the new 98 series after replacing the induction blower. Pretty sure the control board is next. I'll be up to the $4000 mark by then. But I love the variable speed and the quietness of the unit.
The blower motor of my 7-years old Carrier Infinity 98 furnace stopped working, the technician said there are over 10000 units on the back order, not sure how long we would get the replacement. Maybe there is a defect in the motor?

Do you have your unit maintained yearly?
@@fireiceheatingandaircondit4363 Yes sir, the unit is 18 yrs old.

No defect. Just supply chain shortages for all brands on most parts currently. 10k motors on back order sounds a little suspect though.
