DCA & Thomas are the best! I look forward to every episode! Knife Center benefits significantly from these guys as I have an amazing collection now and continue to add to.
I’m at around year two and have watched every one they’ve made lol. Of all the knife seller channels they have the best content from true fans. BladeHQ is pretty terrible (channel) and SMKW is getting better after focusing the camera on the knives and not that dude. Knife Center is professional and knowledgeable and these dudes will really tell you what they like, not some poor selling model they need to push. I guess I trust them, so invest time and money. Well.. I’ve only spent like $220 at knife center site so far but will more soon I hope.
@@Errcyco - Metal Complex has a lot of vid’s, but he just blasts away at them all with little thought. I’ve stopped bothering to watch them any more. Same with BladeHQ.
Thanks as always to DCA, the Bob Ross of knifetube, and ofc Thomas Behind-the-Camera, of the Underhill Behind-the-Cameras. Always brings a smile to my face when a new video pops up on the feed. Cheers!
FWIW, I've been a viewer for a long time and one of the things I value most is that you voice the negatives. Fully understand that you're a retailer representative etc., and that you aren't about to fully savage anything :p but it makes the positive comments feel so much more sincere. You guys are doing a great job, thankyou :) My only negative is that your international processing fees are a bit excessive, so often I end up watching your reviews & then ordering from someone that makes it easier to give my money when I'd rather send it your way!
This vid would have to be one of the best for KnifeCenter. We can see & feel that DCA do enjoy & have passion when presenting any item on the table. It's also like doing a Master Class in cutting tools. DCA is KnifeCenter.! Also the interaction with Thomas is priceless furthermore entertaining. They're like the Ying & Yang. Last but never the least is Seth the Sidekick, his interpretation is different than DCA but equally & acceptably important facts. Nevertheless the people that we don't see but only hear their voices & the work that they do, well...ladies & gentlemen, you guys are the backbone of the KnifeCenter family. "The Warriors" was & still is a Cult movie, KnifeCenter is no different. Thank you everyone for making Knives great again & sexy.! Suggestion: How about doing a show on traditional & cultural cutting tool, from Asia to South Americas including Natives/Aboriginals to Europe. A true challenge for DCA, Thomas & Seth. Cheers folks & Merry Christmas from Australia. Stay safe.
My Knife Days: Modernized Mondays - Classic pattern knives with modern materials. Two Blade Tuesday - Pairs of knives that compliment each other in different ways. Woodcraft Wednesday - Title says it pretty well. Thirsty Thursday - Knives I'm crushing on, new old, or unreleased. Fixed Blade Friday - Why ruin a classic? Serrated Saturday - I dislike combo blades, so fully serrated only! (Sorry, please fire Janey. As somebody who loves puns, that was uncalled for!) Sunday Funday - Take some knives that are used for different purposes, and have a blast demonstrating said purposes.
Hi Knife Center. Holy Moly DCA, the Skipjack is going to become available? I’m saving my money now. Been waiting a long time. Great Content. Congrats on 150th episode.
Thank you to everyone at the Knife Center! Question for DCA - It seems that having better edge retention in a steel would make it harder to sharpen. Is that correct?
Thank you for your great work. I'm from Slovakia, so I don't order knives from you, paying customs duty, postage or value added tax will increase the price quite a bit. But thanks to you, I have an overview and I'll look for knives that interest me on the European market. I'm most sorry that I am losing your exclusive knives for KnifeCenter. Your videos are relaxing for me and I am grateful for that. I wish you all the best.🙋

Thank you for being an integral part of my knife journey that I started just this year. Question for you: there’s a lot of thought around knives you give or don’t give to non-knife people. What knife, should you be so inclined, would you use to *troll* non-knife people with? (My vote goes to the Boker Tactical Mermaid.)
Love this series, guys. Keep 'em coming. 👍🔪 DCA, Given Magnacut exists now, what property would you most want to see in an upgraded Magnacut steel to be used on a EDC fixed blade and what property for an EDC folder, and why?
hey, DCA… hey, KnifeCenter team! congratulations on 150 episodes! such a sweet (and maybe overdue?) idea to introduce the fam! i’ve got a question-or more like a request for recommendation… a challenge, perhaps? i’m getting married in August, 2024, and i’m trying to choose a knife to add to my collection (and to carry on the day) in commemoration of my fiancée and i tying the knot. i’d like it to slightly dress up the vibe of timeless, woodsy earth tones & dirty boots with premium steel and natural handle materials. final caveat is that i’m left-handed. i’m not afraid of a righty lock-up, but it’s gotta carry in the left pocket. thanks, and stay sharp!
Hey DCA, I've been collecting for a few years now, but have only just found some love for smallish fixed blades. My only issue is that it seems very hard to find my preferred method for carrying which is a leather horizontal sheath. Can you recommend something in the 3.5" - 4" range that comes with a horizontal leather sheath? D2 as a minimum on the blade steel, and though I really love a drop point, it isn't an absolute necessity.
DCA: It's White Elephant gift time to annoy the sister in law. In '21 you mentioned a blow gun, but I made the mistake of showing the video to the wife and that got shot down. Last year I went on my own and got Yshoot Sport Pack Slingshot, she was annoyed and the person who got it, loved it! Coming back to you this year, make it a good one!
Hey DCA, this might be more of a question for Thomas. I carry the Leatherman Free T4 everyday with a main blade in the opposite pocket. Because of my job, I'm in "Secure" locations often, (courthouses, schools, etc.) and can't have a blade on me, but tools are needed to make adjustments to my tripod and camera. Is there a bladeless option similar to the Free T4? I typically need a large and standard size flathead, a philips, and a cap lifter, (for after work).
How about explaining the particle metallurgy process compared to the ingot steel. You use this term often. As you referred to cpm154 versus 154cm as asked by one of your teammates. What makes the two different?
Hey there DCA and Thomas....thank you for all the great video content over the years! I am looking for a lightweight knife for my brother that he can carry while jogging as well as EDC and in a worst case scenario use defensively. He previously was carrying a Kershaw Atmos, which is the right weight, but now that he lost it I was thinking a step up in materials and lock type was in order. I was thinking a possibly a Spyderco Sage, Hogue Deka or the like, but am open to other ideas as knives tend to jump out of this pocket. (Did I mention he loses things?) Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
Hey DCA what type of steel would you recommend for someone that is prone to chipping their knives. I don't condone this treatment but it's apparent that it won't change. Any suggestions?
What new knife might you suggest to a person who has been collecting for a few years but has maybe lost a bit of the initial excitement he had for the hobby at first. Slicing performance is most important, not really interested in overbuilt, USA made preferably.
Can we get a review of the flissa survival hunting knife in d2? It seems like it's Definitely the best deal for a cheap fixed blade in a decent steel. Just wanna be sure it's actually adequately hardened and all that.
Looking to fill the handle of my cold steel Bushman with as much useful stuff as possible, any suggestions? I plan on making a wooden butt cap of sorts so hopefully things falling out the bottom won't be a problem. PS. Any modifications you'd suggest would also be appreciated.
Hi DCA and gang, second question I really like the idea of a Demko full size full thickness AD20 or a Hinderer XM 18 3.5 (or even XM 24). Do you have a suggestion of something with similar vibes that is actually available? Thanks
Could you show a Douk Douk knife and it’s leather pocket slip? I just watched a short a video about its history and it Intrigued me, but the pictures that I have found don’t show enough about the Modern versions that are for sale.
David is right, though. You should brine your turkey then roast it. For best results butterfly it and let it dry in the fridge for a night after you brine it and before you roast it so it loses water moisture.
here's a question I haven't seen anyone ask yet. if you were to make up a couple different strops (say to use with different micron Jende diamond emulsions) what would be the best leather to use for the strop? Ive always wondered if one type of leather is beater suited than others but never asked so thought I'd ask here. ps. take care of my CKF Sukhoi 4 till I pay it off next week. lol
Last knife: why is someone who doesn't like knives working at the top knife center out there? After careful thought I suppose I would GLADLY take your position if you would prefer to seek employment down the road at Mattress King or Yankee Candle. 😁 lol
What is the best knife for a person who does not like..... Great question and those folks do my nut. My answer would be: Get out of my house. Get out of my house is the best knife for that person. But I don't like knives!! Oh yeah? You like fried bacon right? Crispy and delicious, can't have that without a knife. Or Soup, maybe you like soup? How do you think the vegetables got chopped? Look pal, OK you do not like some knives and I get that, but you in your life come into contact with knives every day and you love the outcome of the tasks that they carry out. It doesn't much matter if it is a brutal "beet pickers" knife a box cutter (as they call them in the US) or a knackers knife. Your life is made easier by a variety of knives. Rather than say "I don't like knives" accept that the knives you do not like are ones which you do not understand the role for or need. Our world would do better for the intellectual honesty to accept that the tools are not the problem, abuse of the tools are and the mentality which leads to the abuse is. You have a right to be scared of course and some knives are designed to illicit that response, I agree, but not every knife is a "misericorde" or a triangular blade illegal under the Geneva conventions. "Knives" include round tipped kids knives, Knives includes Butter knives dining room knives and fish knives, or cheese knives of all shapes and sizes grumble sodding grumble rubbish UK knife laws which target the wrong things grumble

When are more Nordsmiths coming out!?!?
thank you for the work you do. i always look to KC first.
You want that 400k subscription, put Jane on and this channel would blow up!😂!

After 150 episodes, Not sure about this DCA guy. 😂 just kidding. Great episode!
Dear DCA and T, is it just me or does a serrated blade cut through card board better than a plain blade 😮
Jane rocks!
