Practicing your lines over and over :)
I usually do these for 30-60mins every day, before i start drawing, also all the simple geometric forms...
Automatic drawing is also a very good exercise, to relax your mind.
@@johnrex9290 you just need to go buy some Manga :) try One Piece, Bleach if you like stuff like Naruto and DBZ. If you are into more violent and adult Theme I would suggest Berserk. Incredible fights in that manga and anime (The golden Age). You mentioned One Punch man.. They Also make a anime called Mob Psycho 100.. But that is more Psychic fights :) supernatural Powers :)

Drawing simple objects like rocks without caring about accuracy is pretty helpful for practicing but your exercises are very helpful as well

You have any tips on drawing vehicles? I tend to struggle with drawing cars especially with the perspective of a car for a certain view point.

I've never seen this video before and I was looking for some new sketching excercises and the ones he shows are the exact same ones I've been doing before. Im so happy to know that the ones I've been doing are actually super helpful.
All I can say is wow, I decided to use this with a brush pen because they are so hard to learn, or I should say get use to their dynamic nature and line widths on the fly. Your exercises caused me to increase my control over the brush pen. I am not able to draw circles and contours of characters and landscapes with minimal to no control issues. Thanks for all your insight.

What is recommended to improve on first? My drawings need a lot of improvement and for me, I won't feel like I'm going anywhere unless I know where I should start practicing, whether that be in the anatomy department or basic "skeletal" structure etc.

Just learn to break poses (irl) down to shapes. Honestly I'm stuck to but this has been working for me a lot lol

Le Garçon Qui ment you have to fail a thousand times before you get it right. So it’s probably not that it’s too hard, but you need to become comfortable with failing and not producing what you want. Every good artists has a thousand throwaway pictures and erased lines

Do you draw using your whole arm as opposed to just from the wrist? That might help your with your lines from right to left
you could but for comics its smaller and you want to control your movement if you are drawing curves and detail. Well at least for me
