I don't know why this game constantly gets the shaft, I mean it's Final Fantasy so it's a given the graphics and music would be top notch, but I found the storyline, despite all the fantastic futuristic themes and pseudo modern Shakespearean-Dickensian dialogue, to be one of the most touching and human in all of gaming, with real emotions besides just shooting everything in sight and calling it a plot, and of course the Paradigm Shift system was revolutionary.
If you like that, you should play ff X it was revolutionary in the same way All the other ff's were really good at delivering awesome stories and character progression and stories but few ff titles have really hit the same emotion as X and 13.. the fact of which they were almost similar in that regard both in breadth, art style, time periods lends alot to the potential for future FF titles

Ahh man, listening to this with a full orchestra, and watching it on screen in the Distant World's concert last Friday, was truly magical. The strings played it with such emotion, it was absolutely wonderful.
Although XIII-2 kind of made me want to keep my distance away from Serah (sorry!), this cutscene itself feels I myself have a deep crush on Serah as well. It's really sad they didn't explore this love in XIII-2, it would have been amazing

Yeah, it's really funny, because sometimes you like a game based on the exact reasons that people hate it for. But its really just preferences. I personally stopped after X, because although XII and XIII(2) had superior graphics, there's something about them that I really can't get into (not saying they're bad). For now, Versus XIII is the only FF I'm even remotely interested in...
I've never played it either (I stopped after X/X-2) but I think its because people see it as not up to the standards of the previous FF. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for many people, the FFs that now comes out just doesn't 'feel' the same compared to its predecessors, that's why there many dislikes towards this game.
@ThomasIkuto: Nah it's just about SE changed the song for this scene from Sugawara Sayuri's Eternal Love was to Serah's theme in the US version, the reason that they couldn't translate it into English. Man they shouldn't force themselves to do it, but they shouldn't change it too, just let it be. You won't waste your time hearing this song you know, it's so beatiful
i like this more than FFX cause like the whole game the two are in love and till they kiss they dont really know, still its like they dont know after that! (FF10). same way with 7. the whole game ur like OMG CLOUD GET WITH TIFA!! i havent beatin it so , but im near the end of disk 2.
This pairing looks really nice, although the drastic difference in their physical heights just sort of don't seem...right...lol. Either Snow is extremely tall, or Serah is extremely petite..but then she has such a nice rack in XIII-2..
@MaY2471 If you have a PSP, I recommend getting Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection. It's a re-polished version of IV and also comes with Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (basically IV-2). It's a great game, with an amazing story. Pure Classic.
