Hi Bryan (name you used in this vid 😁). This video was posted a year ago but I’m completely new to ring. I did everything you showed here (same exact as on instructions). However, after installing it I turned power back on and it didn’t work. I did everything up until your @10:00 time stamp bc I never got to that part. After fussing with it several times I called ring customer service and they couldn’t help. I was appalled when ONE (in 2 days I spoke to several) of the ring reps told me I had to hire an electrician!!! I told that ring rep I will be returning the doorbell before I hire an electrician!
Attaching the doorbell to the mount is a little difficult but once it locks into place it seems extremely sturdy. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxHZwMa8CsRjYhf9s4W8w0Dwm47uytWOp I replaced my regular doorbell with this and hard wired it in, using my existing wires and mechanical chime. It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa
The ring doorbell has a good CS and good software. The problem is the lack of an internal memory card. In other words, it is built to make sure users subscribe to their cloud service (That though is reasonably priced compared to others) will cost a lot, in a long run.
Thats a problem Also, it should have a display panel from the inside to see who's ringing. Having on the phone might be ok if you live alone but in a crowded house that can be annoying and invasive
Seen a few of these videos now. What none of these videos do, including this one, is tell you if the original mechanical chime still "dings" after installation of the Ring Pro 2. So, does it?
@Maraksot78 YOU r AMAZING! tell your wife u r a superhero w/ a great sense of humor. i installed auccessfully - thanks to you! i needed your brain. i tried with 3 other vids prior & felt lost😂 🎉
Hey sir I have two questions Regarding this video, how many devices can you install the Ring app and if is compatible whit 5 Ghz wifi Router? Pls let me know that, thanks
I don't know for sure how many different devices you can control with the Ring app but I think you can have as many as you want/need. As for 5GHz wifi; yes, the Ring Pro 2 works with 5GHz wifi.
The very first thing he did was unbox everything one item at a time, then gave us a bonus in showing how to install it, hence the title caption unboxing and installation.

Did you exchange it? I was curious if you got your issue handled. Thank you.

Yes it still dings, same as normal.

This is not an unboxing video. An unboxing video shows how everything is packed and extracted from the box. This is all skipped!
The very first thing he did was unbox everything one item at a time, then gave us a bonus in showing how to install it, hence the title caption unboxing and installation.
Fish eye effect is terrible!!
