I decided to make a new version of this video, with no music or anything special like that. An update from the original video is that I included Mirage Island in here as well. However, the way I got there is by creating a Pokémon in Ciro's Pokémon Maker and creating the Mirage Island activator to go along with it. Therefore, there is no single Mirage Island code, due to the way that Mirage Island appears.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING TO THE ISLANDS ON AN EMULATOR
1) Beat the game so that ferries appear in Slateport and Lilycove.
2) Enter the following codes through VBA -) Cheats -) View Cheat List... -) Gameshark...

3) With the codes above enabled, verify that the items are in your PC. If they are (it should look like this: i.imgur.com/9eHit.png ), go back into the cheats menu and disable the item codes (this will prevent duplicates of the tickets from being created) and withdraw the tickets from your PC:

4) Now, with the enable and DMA disable codes still active, enter the codes below via VBA -) Cheats -) View Cheat List... -) Gameshark... like last time and head to Lilycove harbor:

NOTE: It's recommended you enable these codes one at a time, as I've found that they tend to work better like that, which doesn't really make any sense but whatever.
5) Talk to the woman in front of the ferry and she should say "The ferry to SLATEPORT is..." instead of her usual message. Depending on whether you enabled them one at a time or all at once, you'll either be taken to the island that you enabled the event for, or you'll get to choose the destination of your choice.
6) Catch pogeymans.
7) ????
8) Profit!
NOTE: In order to do this on an actual Game Boy Advance, you need either an AR v3 or AR Max Duo, NA version only. I do not have Codebreaker codes for the enablers, but if you'd like I can give you warp codes or something.

I know. I hate seeing that everybody can just get a Mew or any other legendary monthly. I know it's the 30th anniversary but it's lessening the value of Pokemon in a way.

I loved how old event legendaries had there own islands. Now it’s just a level 100 you collect in the pokemart.

I'll never forget the launch event for Platinum where you could get a level 1 Regigigas from Toys R Us. Doing so enabled you to get the other three Regis as well I believe, which then allowed you to explore the in-game event for Regigigas instead of having to transfer from RSE.
Vladabdf honestly what they should’ve done with regigigas was once you find him at the bottom of snow point temples, all of the regi rooms in sin oh would open up. That way you don’t need to transfer from RSE, or have an event regigigas

I think I was the first person in North America to have ever bought it. I'm in St. John's, Newfoundland (the easternmost time zone in North America) and was the first customer in line on the day it was released. Even people who preordered it would have had to stand in line.
Emerald changes everything compared to Ruby and Sapphire,it has exclusive places,like Battle Frontier,and others.

This game is so cleverly atmospheric. I can just feel the mood change with every city, every sea or every cave I go in. I always get caught up in this game because of how captivating it is. By far and large the best Pokémon game I have ever played.

That's why I've always said Pokémon isn't a children game. It might look like one on the outside, but the more you know about it the more you truly realize it is after all made by adults and even if yes it is ultimately made for children, they put some touch of poetry or philosophy that no child could understand.

These events were the best. Now it's just "go to gamestop to get a free level 100 shiny legendary". Like back in these sprite era Pokemon games it was an experience, new island, new dungeon and you get to actually go through the challenge of catching the mythical Pokemon or legendary, like they added more legendaries into the new games but still it's boring warp riding for hours.

I love the old Hoenn games, the new ones are just... not the same, like the old games had more experience and the battles between legendary pokemon will make you feel that feeling, and the game was made by pixels in a beautiful way, And the old music....

I miss the old days when finding a Legendary Pokemon was actually a huge deal, as you actually got to battle it. After a point in Gen 4, I think it was with Arceus and the event Regigigas, they just started giving them to you.
Also, back in the day, being a Legendary Pokemon actually meant something, as there weren't tons of them introduced every generation. In Gen 1, there were 5, in Gen 2, there were 6, in Gen 3, there were 10, which is a lot, but only ~7% of the total introduced that Generation.
Compare that to Gen 7, which introduced only 85 new Pokemon after the Ultras were done, and over 20 of them are Legendaries, as Ultra Beasts count as Legendaries in the games' code.
It saddens me these great places and pokemon are locked in my game, waiting for a code to set them free

If you have an R4 card. There's a video teaching you how to get gen 3, 4, and 5 events all legitimately.
tbh things like this have always disturbed me. I'm not clostorphobic, but the thought of being trapped in an unmoving unchanging tiny space forever terrifies me so much.

You go to the Battle Frontier and there is a cave past where Sudowoodo is. Just surf down the waterfall and go in the cave and there are plenty of Smeargles in there.

I started up my Pokemon Emerald (erasing over 600 hours of gameplay) and replayed about a week ago, and on the first day of playing I found a Shiny Gulpin, then on the SAME DAY, I find a shiny Skarmory.. I play for over 600 hours not finding a single one, then find 2 the same day, in less than 24 hours of gameplay -.-

I played many Pokemon versions but this has to be the best of all, the cities are so pretty and interesting the gyms are actually tough, there are so many awesome things to do, the visuals are amazing too.
The Old Nostalgia MUSIC came back to me and evolved into a New Nostalgia MUSIC
So I wasted soo much money on buying lots of thing when there was a emulator!!! At least Im proud of doing it legit.

A few clarifications:
1) Yes, I used codes for the Master Balls. This video isn't supposed to show skill.
2) The codes are for ARv3 and AR DUO only. I used them on an actual cartridge and they worked just fine.
3) The Smeargle was bred a long time ago and saved using my Sapphire game whenever I restarted Emerald and the moves were gotten using the double battle method (look it up).
Not so sure about the rest of the islands, but the one to get Latias/Latios (whichever one you dont have) is obtained by using an E-Reader on the Latias or Latios Pokémon card.
I remember going to Mirage island.....I thought that it was just a normal place...that save file is long gone....WHY, WHY MY 8 YEAR OLD SELF....

Original it was possible too obtain these ticket items back in 2005 on some events in Japan or maybe in you City. So its currently impossible too get these without cheating

To go to the other latios or latias island with the soul dew, in pokemon ruby or sapphire only, insert the e-reader into your gameboy advance and then scan the eon ticket card. Then you can go there without using a gameshark, since the e-reader is an official device.
in order to go to Far away Island you need the old sea map from oak`s. It was only released in the japanese game version.
in all other games you`ll have too use Action Replay or Game Shark cheat devices.

Well, didn't know.. At least they're well worth it, since Lugia is pretty defensive, and Ho-Oh is offensive. Deoxys is speedy as hell, and Mew can transform to other devastating Pokemon. If you don't want to transform, then Mega Punch everyone.

well i just flipped out i was randomly trying to find out how to get to this island along with finding out how to get latias or latios and while randomly surfing the water to where the mirage island is i encounter a freaking shiny latias...i didnt even know there was a shiny of it

Naval Rock can be accessed in Fire Red so you should be able to battle Red there.

I tried using the Faraway and Birth Island cheat but when I try writing the event name ("Faraway Island & Birth Island Enabler") in description, it stops at "En". Did anyone else faced the same problem? If yes, what's the solution around it. Please help!
I have a memory of finding either Latias or Latios (I don't remember which one of them) while I was surfing. However, after seeing this video I'm not so sure anymore. This was like 10 years ago or something so I might be wrong on this one. Is it possible to find one of them anywhere else than the island? I was playing either Ruby or Emerald. I don't remember which one since I had both of them.
I don't know about Emerald but in Ruby, Latios is a wandering pokemon (after hall of fame)
One of them is indeed a roaming Pokemon, the event shown here is for obtaining the other one without trading.

Can anyone help? I've enabled the codes on Gameshark (GBA4ios) and the tickets have shown up, I've collected them from the PC, but the lady at the ferry will only allow me to go to Lilycove or Slateport?
