    Agree with you 100%, that Silver is a long term investment, and a great way to save. I have long term goals and I am now using silver as a way to help achieve those goals. Well said, enjoyed the video, thank you for sharing your passion with us.

    I recently sold a good percentage of my stack, I had been looking at some land for quite some time, an opportunity came up to sell at spot plus around 50% of the premium, we both got a good deal - always be on the lookout for opportunities! I am now rebuilding my stack, it’s a great way for me to save, even if a little value was lost it’s still not as much as I would have lost due to lost value of cash in the bank due to inflation.

      Here in Australia people used to sell their own silver on their own and they generally do a little bit less than what you buy the silver from a dealer shop. So for example a coin maple is worth 47aud at the shop you can buy at 40aud. from the guy.

    I remember buying silver at $13 in fed res notes price. But due to inflation that original $13 purchasing power is now around $22 in present day federal res Notes. So what have I gained with my silver Nothing in price . But the original value of the $13 purchasing value is locked in forever.,with a realistic prospect of massive gains in value.

    I fear that too many stackers here on UA-cam are in it for huge gains which I suspect will never come. Silver and gold increase in value for sure but they don't and will never skyrocket. Their value compared to other goods will generally remain constant and that's how you beat inflation with metals. Thank you for the rational and thoughtful approach, as always!

    What a beautiful collection of those motorcycle bars! I enjoyed seeing them while listening. I have my small stack to hopefully pass on to my three sons---I say hopefully, because there are no guarantees in life. I sure hope they all out live me. Also, my interest in silver has just been pure joy in learning new things and appreciating how beautiful the different coins, rounds, and bars can be. I agree that silver is a good way to exchange flimsy and valueless paper money or just numbers in a bank account---for something that is REAL and will retain its value.

    @meteoman7958 Рік тому +1

    Over many years of stacking silver, it has become clear to me that over the long term it is impossible to make gains. Let's say silver keeps up with inflation. When one buys silver, there is a premium and with some people tax. After many years and one's costs have been converted to the current year's dollars and the silver is sold for spot, it will turn out that the inflation adjusted costs are higher the the current spot value, due to the initial high premiums and taxes. Sure it's possible to make gains over the short term, after sudden spikes in spot value, but most likely short term plays will yield a loss.
    On the other hand, the value of gold has increased faster than inflation and due to the much lower initial premiums, it is possible to make significant real gains over the long term. After several decades, my inflation adjusted silver gains are slightly on the negative side, -2.57%, whereas my inflation adjusted gold gains are a healthy 37.9%. The numbers, non-inflation adjusted, are Ag 28.42% and Au 56.3%, respectively. These are the kind of numbers people THINK they are gaining.

      By comparison the silver eagles, Phil's and rounds cost me out of pocket 15-18 , now valued at 24-30. It would count as a win if traded back for those filthy counterfeit debt instruments . I can't unsee the con game. Legit point regarding gold though. Now depending on coin weight, gold premiums can get higher than giraffe ears too. Cheers

      I find that the demand for Constitutional silver is regional and moves in cycles. Where I'm from the demand for 90% silver is still pretty robust and there's plenty of it. I believe that when demand is high, and sellers can get a good price they sell what they have to online dealers and coin shops. Supply grows, the price drops slightly and people like me buy it, but we don't sell. Shelves start to get thin; price goes up, people sell. I know that's a pretty basic way to look at it, but that's the way I see it. Thanks for watching. Keep stacking
