Will, sorry to say but i really didnt like this video...I loooooved it😂😂😂!!! Im 49 and only now after sufferring from being a HSP with dysfunctional family I am changing my mindset to be who I am which is A GREAT HUMAN BEING who doesnt follow the herd but trying to do it MY WAY ..😊, your quest is inspiring and am sure inspiring so many to have revalations on their own lives. The video kept me Engrossed 110%..without expecting to be. I have always wanted to travel to Japan. Okinawa made famous by karate kid ..mr.miyagi..for me in the 80's. You are a true researcher ..and using your G-d given gifts to shine ..wow. I truly applaud the work and heart you put into it.
Try to focus on what you have .Count your blessings. Enjoy the simple things in life- coffee, music, long walks ,workouts, ,cooking, company of friends , traveling , watching positive content (like this one) ,journaling & staying miles away from bitter, mean & negative people who are always complaining about something or the other.
I totally agree with your last comments. I just turned 70 and I think it's not about how long you live, rather HOW you live. Make the best of every moment of the day.
I am 69, and l do think Blue Zones ideas are excellent-eat well and more plant based, have a supportive community, keep moving, have something to get up for each day. Even though being who you truly are is very important, we in the West must also realize we live in community also. Be grateful, and don't let anybody take away your internal joy.
@@jennylugtu689Romans 10:9-11 says, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved".Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
One of the most valid videos I’ve ever seen. If more men gathered in small groups just for the purpose of TALKING as these guys did, imagine how the figures for male depression, addiction and suicide would plummet. I wish all men had the ability to take care of their mental health needs in this way so they could be happier, healthier and more fulfilled in later life rather than regretful, obese and unhappy. Men, please take note. You are not the position you hold, the money you earn, the house you live in - you are a soul who needs to be nurtured and to find peace within yourself, and if you achieve that THEN you will truly be happy. Trust me.
I loved, loved. I'm from one of the countries with more life expectancy in the world too: Spain, and I enjoyed very much the energy and interview with this old lady. My grandma died last year with 101 years old and she was wonderful too; she exercised, read everyday, ate all the things that she loved (mostly vegetables and fish, but also some sweets! :P) and had friends too! However, she saw many friends of her die as she was very old! Haha :) When she was 60, she had a car accident with her husband. He died, but she did not. She loved him a lot but I never heard her complaining about life; she was quite happy with herself, even when being alone. Things got a bit difficult when she couldnt walk anymore at 96 y.o, but I will always remember her attitude, even when she did not know many things about emotional intelligence or personal development. She had this knowledge inside her and was very insightful :) Keep going with your content! I love your channel!

I loved your trip across Canada and first saw you with Downie Live and have been following you since. I love the positivity of your channel! As a 67 year old what I would say to younger people is that life is precious and in reality 100 years is not that long! Find that passion in yourself and pursue it and most importantly even when things seem to be at your worse stay positive and life will balance itself out.
Please keep posting videos like this! I suddenly realised that I have been working and living without a reason to achieve the "life" that is not exist. When the 95 years grandma remind me to live life slow and enjoy your life every seconds to make a day, she won everything. She has achieved and find the real happiness and happiness is just everything and everywhere when you are positive. Hope to visit Okinawa one day! I am flying over from Malaysia to Australia and hopefully I can see and experience life in a different angle when I start to live slow, enjoy doing what I am doing. This is what life should be! ❤
that 95 year old lady with beautiful cheekbones! They garden here as well, and they live in community’s backed on each other - not stuck alone in high rises. My mum lived until 96 and she had a great positive nature and well loved, didn’t eat very much..
Very interesting! I moved to Canada from Tokyo years ago and worked so hard to the point I became really sick. It is true what I was taught from my parents were work hard. As a result of it you become isolated. I have seen other documentaries about Blue Zones in Okinawa. They are very local community oriented and gather and eat, dance and sing. Very simple life but fulfilling life. Japanese called Ikigai. I might have forgotten when I moved here. Thank you for your inspiring videos. When you need a translator in Japan next time let me know.
I'm 23, my advice would be to be positive, happy, healthy, and kind. Life is short to stress about the bad things happening around the world. Enjoy your life, travel, experience new things. Live life to the fullest 😊😊❤️❤️
I think the biggest factor is purpose in life. Without something to drive you passionately to wake up each morning, you'll never find fulfillment and longevity. Also the blue zone book you read was written during a period that was very different in Okinawa. The centenarians in the book(during that period) ate differently, had purpose, had social interaction, were valued as they aged, worked until they couldn't, very active. Now, it's very westernized with the same metabolic diseases and processed foods that western society has.
Great video! Thanks for the advice & education on how to live longer. I’m grateful & thankful for taking me to one of the longest living people in the world, Okinawa, Japan. In your video + interviews, I noticed that people especially Elderlies are passionate about living life & grateful & thankful to work everyday of their life. Like what you said, there’s no secret in living longer; I really believe that taking care & balancing of your spiritual, physical, mental, emotional & social well being which are the foundations of health are the keys to longevity. Great upload! Thank you 🙏🏽
Cool video, I used to live in Japan but didn’t get to visit Okinawa yet. My roommate in university was from there and I learned a lot when his family visited. Interesting culture. Stay positive!!
This is excellent. Something I would like to add to the blue zone facts is the conclusion of why the blue zones work is: relationships as in having a healthy familiarized helpful kind community. The tiny interactions at the cashiers and coffee shops, having friendships with neighbours and spending time with friends has been concluded to contribute to life expectancy prolongation, illness reduction, job opportunities and economic advantage. The Blue xones are the model structural environments to let this flourish. The way society is being constructed now is not conducive to this.
It’s not so much eating healthy, surrounding yourself with friends and happiness etc., it’s the other way around : enjoying your food (better healthy, still), being friendly and be happy with whatever life has in store for you. It doesn’t come from outside, but from inside (and then tends to manifest outside). I’m 47 and quite happier than when I was 27, basically thanks to these principles (externally, I think my life isn’t really better nor great).
I notice poorer people are most of the time happier people. People who live to work and not work to live are never saticefied. Just want more and more. Live a simple life, enjoy good friendships and be happy. That s the secret of life. I m 48 gooing 49. Life has tought me the hard way
I am 72 senior male Years ago, I learned this Gem from an elderly gentleman kind enough to share his Wisdom "When you are born, your alloted only so many steps in this life so use them wisely." And another from a different source "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it gets to being all gone the faster it goes away"
Awesome my friend that is a good life lesson. We all need to slow down and breath and be happy . I think when we exercise and eat healthier that helps the mind as well. Thanks Will for another great video Cheers my friend
As someone who is healing from social anxiety, from my experience I know social connection plays a big part in our health and wellness! I feel like deep authentic social connections and the connection to our selves as well as healing any pain we carry from the past in our hearts plays a huge part in living a long and healthy life. Laughter is key, forgiveness, peace, self love, listening to your heart, expressing creativity, managing stress, self reflection but not to the point it consumes you, all the little things we do each day that feed our heart and soul and not our fears lead to a lighter life. It is then easier to enjoy life today in the here and now without being too anxious about the future and where we are heading. life is so much better when you have people you love and trust to share the highs and lows with. Take care of your selves everyone you deserve it! :)
William. Hey! So happy to see how your channel is doing! I am really glad to see, your energy is well invested! You take the time to really listen to people, they open up and they are honest to you. Great content! God bless you!
Best video to date. It was so great watching you along your journey. This was such a pleasure to watch, thank you so much for your service to this world.
We live in a fast, results-oriented world, we want the tried and true path to a happy life when it's a little different for everyone. How are you going to figure that out if you don't put in the time? If you don't have the courage to make your own mistakes and learn? I get making a living is hard, but it's your life in the end. It is what it is.
Love to see you explore these important questions/topics in such depth, Will. Appreciate you for not going off of what you read on the internet but instead immersing yourself in the experience so wholehartedly. And so cool to see that the lady at the end jounrals every morning, was not expecting that for some reason! 💛
Thank you for this amazing video. This is what Western Society mostly needs to hear. Thank you for existing guys. If you weren't there who was going to reach out a 90 years old Japanese old lady and get the tips about living a joyful life!!!
I lived there for one year when I was 19. It was an incredible experience. I hope the island hasn't changed. I'm close to retirement age now and still find myself thinking of Okinawa often.
I like that! ... A 72yr. old woman running the restaurant all by herself .... while her husband is out catching fresh seafood. Good elderly 🏝island partnership!
The video answers the question about LIFE. The question isn't about " What do you live to do?", it is " What is Life?". The answer is LOVE. I have been reading and watching a lot of old people and experts talk about their lives, and I see one same thing is LOVE. You should find something and someone you love to spend with in your life, and even when you get old, find something to make you busy. Why Japanese people live so long and healthy, they work until they can't, the works can be cooking, gardening, or dancing like the old lady 95 years old doing. I am really happy for myself at 30 years old now, because I find the secrets of happy life so early, and I can enjoy the rest of my life and watching everything in my life in slow way, and also get through hard times. LOVE.

Hi Sprouht❣️ I saw a documentary on Okinawa Centenarians a while back and it was so cool, like your video 🙌🏻 I didn’t know about blue zones, though 🤔 Yeah, i agree family, genuine friends, giving and receiving love, and taking care of your health are the things most humans need to truly be happy, which in turn will probably extend your life expectancy💗 Loved this 😊
I followed you at 5k when making Montreal and Vancouver videos because I thought you made good quality videos for such a small UA-camr. Haven't been keeping up with UA-cam but I've seen you've grown a lot. Congratulations dude, I'm routing for you
You are from Montreal , you most know that Cote St Luc in Montreal have a lot of people close to 100 year old ,and even more 💪 . You do not have to look for them , you can see them everywhere 👍😉 ; Centennial Park , the library , Cavendish Mall playing bridge in the CLSC ( on the 2 floor ) , banking ,shopping etc. That most be Canadian " Blue Zone " 🤔❗
great video and great interviews! i love the food that you've shown but that last interview with the 95 year old is very touching. I'm at the age where i'm finding purpose in life and also chasing happiness and enjoying life with my family. can';t wait to watch the next one!
The world change so fast that we don't enjoy living it, i have 37 years old and i don't feel my age, i think because i just live my present don't worrying about what's comming next day, because next day have it's difficulties. My only piece of advice will be this... take care of yourself, be kind to yourself and others and live the present because the present is a gift.
good video..with the right answers found and understood...there are quite a few long Life spots on our planet...my mother's home region has lots of over 90year olds...over there its because of clean air, good natural mineral water, active and good foods from clean chemical free ground.
As a transplant from my native Tokyo to a Seattle suburb in the stateside, I found your coverage insightful. Thank you! Also a thought-provoking summary and observations on Okinawa, which is drastically different from the mainland Japan. One another thing I'd add, after having gone though both the Japanese and the American healthcare systems (roughly 25+ years in each), the universal healthcare we have in Japan, in comparison to the U.S. Despite its flaws (no system is perfect), it is far more equitable and accessible with a stronger focus on the preventative medicine, than the private-sector driven, outrageously for-profit, greedy American healthcare system in which by the time the patients actually get to see the docs, it is often too late.. (Attested by a Japanese liver transplant surgeon who worked in the U.S.) The U.S. healthcare system seems to lack the very basic, moral principle. Unfortunately, the U.S. is a country where a moderate, very mainstream Centrist such as Sen. Bernie Sanders somehow gets labeled as "radical" left by the corporate owned MSM and the politicians who are beholden to the plutocrats who actually runs this country...!
Great video!! So heartwarming. I agree with your statement at the end...Just got to prioritize what we know is healthy for us. It's difficult when the world around us is happening so fast paced in the city...Learning to slow down is key...Thank you! ❤
Being in the moment, enjoying every thing one does in a day to start with. Ikigai, become a takumi / artisan in your area of work. Never retire. Sleep early and wake early. Eat less. Eat wholesome foods and minimise intake of processed food. Daily low to moderate intensity physical activity like gardening / farming. Be kind and friendly to every one. Learn from stoic and buddhist teachings.
From my travels when I see active elderly people who live in cleaner environment and limit processed food, these people are much healthier and it helps to be in culture where elderly are respected and most Japanese are big on fermented foods but processed stuff has become fashionable
Helllo ..i like your videos..and it teaches me a lot..im early senior now...a widow and..my 4 kids are big already....but i still find the way...how to stay healthy...fresh veggies and fruits..yes ..the best ...then preaching...two times a week...we walk..long walk..with good friends.....awesome exercise...c u.
Wow you went with Takashi cool... having a great mind set is key I think and I agree with the 95yr lady to live slowly or take it slowly, life goes very fast and even after turning 40 I noticed the days go fast if you dont take time to enjoy them, what makes you feel joyful is different for all of us, Some days I like just sitting in nature and listening to birds and critters in the park. I live in southern Sydney so I am lucky we have lots of Bushland and trails.
That's Super Crazy like I've stumpled across this channel an have seen a few videos an like out of everything that's hit me from this channel, an it's deep in honesty.. I decided to write down on my white board "days are long, but years are short"!!! Then this video is next........😮

LOVE.
What If u don't have anyone or anything to love tho?😊
@@user-mj6qr2ky9ddont give up,keep moving forward, have a really nice day and take care of you

I'm at the age where i'm finding purpose in life and also chasing happiness and enjoying life with my family. can';t wait to watch the next one!
this video is great, you delivered !
Stumbled across ur vids last week cant stop watching.
keep up the good work
Thanks so much
That was such a beautiful video
One of your best so far Will
The world change so fast that we don't enjoy living it, i have 37 years old and i don't feel my age, i think because i just live my present don't worrying about what's comming next day, because next day have it's difficulties. My only piece of advice will be this... take care of yourself, be kind to yourself and others and live the present because the present is a gift.
what a great video (again). Keep up the inspiring work
good video..with the right answers found and understood...there are quite a few long Life spots on our planet...my mother's home region has lots of over 90year olds...over there its because of clean air, good natural mineral water, active and good foods from clean chemical free ground.
Hey guys I enjoyed every second of this video.... I was glued to it like a blockbuster movie
Thanks for this making video
Bernie Sanders somehow gets labeled as "radical" left by the corporate owned MSM and the politicians who are beholden to the plutocrats who actually runs this country...!
will I really enjoy your interviews and now your videos. Tx. Rich
Writing journal, walking, listening and watching things which makes you happy, broadens your self awareness, Gives you very new perspectives of people, culture, tradition, Travel Solo,.. Simplifying Life to the Core, Enjoying the small things in life, spending time in nature, learning about mental and emotional health and your own challenges.. Learning to say Yes and No..the list is big...Turning your daily chores into Sacred Daily Rituals would make all the difference. Do crazy things.. Take Risks in life.. Never give up on trusting your GUT... Improve your Intuition..seeing some japanese people living their life which resonates to my core...brings me the greatest of Joy. Have been a big fan of Japanese culture....for some time now...

I was not sure Japan is called like that.
Hong Kong has a high life expectance ! Tai Chi and Good food =) 😋
From my travels when I see active elderly people who live in cleaner environment and limit processed food, these people are much healthier and it helps to be in culture where elderly are respected and most Japanese are big on fermented foods but processed stuff has become fashionable

AMAZING INTRO, love this
Great video Sprouht
Wow you went with Takashi cool... having a great mind set is key I think and I agree with the 95yr lady to live slowly or take it slowly, life goes very fast and even after turning 40 I noticed the days go fast if you dont take time to enjoy them, what makes you feel joyful is different for all of us, Some days I like just sitting in nature and listening to birds and critters in the park. I live in southern Sydney so I am lucky we have lots of Bushland and trails.
Thank you 💕
