NOTE: Throughout the video, I may have mispronounced the name of Nick Senzel. Apologies for that. I was going off of a pronunciation used from a previous broadcast, and as it turned out, that broadcast had the incorrect pronunciation of his last name, so apologies there
Saying that this year has been pretty much a disaster for the Cards is an understatement. That moment of having Helsey pitch to Senzel was a microcosm of that. Just so many bad decisions on Marmol's part so far.
Hi. In today's game the NY Yankees hosted the San Diego Padres. The score was tied in the bottom of the 10th inning. Eventually, the Yankees would have runners at 1st base & 3rd base, with only 1 out. Then runner at 1st base went to 2nd base on Defensive Indifference. Batter gets a single, runner that was at 3rd base comes in and scores, and game is over. Question: In this situation, did the Padres manager do anything wrong?
I love that this is a dumb decision video involving The Reds but isn't about the Reds. :D There is plenty that could have been about them over the years after all.
Here are a couple of ideas for dumb baseball decisions; both regarding Gene Mauch. Overworking Jim Bunning & Chris Short during the last two weeks of the 1964 season when the Phillies blew a 6.5 game lead Or 1982 ALCS. Bypassing Ken Forsch in the rotation and going with Tommy John & Bruce Kison on three day's rest for games 4 & 5.
Perhaps it is my device, but the last several videos from 7, 8, and 9 have had sound so low that I have to hold my device up to my ear in order to hear. Were considerable amount of time, this wasn't a problem. If it is indeed my device, then that's on me. But could you please check your sound settings before you post to UA-cam? Thank you
I have a Dumb Decision request for you: Phillies at Marlins from 4/24/2009. 9th Inning, bases loaded, Matt Lindstrom was looking weak, yet instead of replacing him with Reynel Pinto, Mgr Fredi González keeps Lindstrom, and guess what happens? I mean, Seriously?!? WTF was Gonzalez Thinking?
As a Cards fan I feel for Ollie he seems like a nice guy but he appears to be way in over his head. I am not surprised that no reporters questioned him. The St. Louis media is kind of a joke they rarely ask tough questions the east coast fans must laugh at us with regularity. Since Ollie was John Mozeliak's hire I can only hope that if Ollie gets the axe that Mozeliak will be packing his bags as well.

we got a live one love it
Cardinals managers post-Tony La Russa and bad bullpen management, name a more iconic duo.
Cubs managers and bad bullpen management. Even in 2016. And I say this as a Cubs fan
I saw the final of this one, but I didn’t see any details

The catcher was Tres Barrera not Willson Contreras
Proof that Marmol just isn't ready to be a manager.
My Cardinals have been making a ton of bad pitching decisions this season. Luckily they are turning it around.
Love baseball dumb decisions! Keep em coming!
It’s Sen-ZELL stress the 2nd syllable
As a Reds fan I’d rather see Robby Benson at bat than Will Benson

Marmol severely miscalculated here. There's nothing to gain by pitching to Senzel in this situation. We'll have to see if Marmol learns from this.

Glad dumb decisions made the migration to baseball season 👍

Dumb decisions nominee: Dusty Baker doing absolutely nothing in Game 6 Inning Eight in 2003
As a Reds fan, I approve this decision and this video.

Dude that wasn't Willson Contreras it was Tres Barrera that let that ball get away.
Yet another reason I want Marmol fired
