I don't have a Trapper, but I've got a Medium Texas Jack and a Sod Buster Jr., both in the satin SS blade with black synthetic. I do like the yellow too. That last one with the g10 is gorgeous. I want an Abilone handle Case.
Ive never liked Trapper vs. what I think is the better option, Stockmen. Much less, I have never liked the idea of anything "mini"....Unless its made by G.E. . However, I recently came into several mini trappers all at once from a really good Close-Out Deal online. Mine were made by Bear & Sons. Mine were colored bone handles. My God, the Green Smooth Bone is incredible. Looks like an Emerald. Once I got past how incredibly gorgeous these are, I started to handle the small frame trapper. I have big hands and the trapper mini disappeared into my paws. Once I started using the small knife, I really fell for it. It is now my GO-TOO carry for when I am in "Polite Public". I now have several more of these mini's, some in stag, some in micarta, more in bone, and synthetics. I just love the size and feel of these smaller blades for when you know all you will need it for its basic cutting tasks. They are NOT for bushcrafting, NOT for cleaning game animals, unless its a squirrel. But these little frames are fantastic for office carry and dinner out with friends. Still very flashy and pretty...but not large enough to scare Karens and Kens. And Lord knows we got too many of them these days. If you want to try one...please allow me to suggest this low cost, high value choice. Please try a Rough Ryder in a 3.5 - 3.88 inch frame. Less than $20 delivered, these are high value knives. And wont break the bank if you dont like the size or shape.
I like the trapper pattern. Unfortunately this was my only mini and I broke the blade off trying to center it. I need to send it in or by another. I have a crap ton of Rough Ryders buy not a small trapper. I might have to pick one up since my knife budget is nonexistent right now. Thanks for checking the video out!!
I love Trappers, unfortunately I broke the clip point on the mini trying center it. I use the spey blade more for food prepping. Thanks for checking the video out!!
Centering is why i prefer buying them from a store instead of online..😢 that said i recently bought a sodbuster in yellow with carbon steel.. i think i better get busy buying the stainlesssteel version in case they stop making them.. they are almost too pretty to use.. lol
@@factorsofjack I have 5 full size Case trappers, and none of them are centered. Still nice knives. I was not able to look them beforehand. Glad you doing better health wise. God bless you and your family. Peter
Nice! Glad you’re enjoying the pattern, buddy. The trapper, in any variation, is one of my favorites to carry👍Cheers!
So far, the Trapper is my favorite pattern.
I've got the full size in yellow on my wish list! Great video Jack 👍
It was on my wishlist for a long time. Glad I finally got it.

Those case trappers are growing on me ., Add them to my "classic" knife list to purchase lol 🎉
I like the trapper pattern. Will get another sometime.
Which is better for EDC? I’m leaning towards mini
I really liked the mini trapper until I broke mine trying to fix the centering. For edc I guess I prefer the mini for the size and weight.
@@factorsofjack Thanks
the Big One is a better EDC, the Mini is just too small...
I EDC a Big Trapper and a Buck 110, its a perfekt Combo
Just got the large yellow trapper at my general store, love the knife. I perfer using the spade blade since it has a smaller point but thats just me.

I'm looking for a good mini trapper to carry around that isn't too expensive but isn't trash either!
@calebthomas5411 Me too! I really liked the mini trapper but I broke the blade trying to center them.
Thank you.

I'd prefer to see before buying but there isn't anyplace close by that sell Case. The Sodbusters are great. Thanks for checking the video out!
Is this Phillip Seymour Hoffman?
Do I sound like Philip Seymour Hoffman? Cool, I usually get Ray Ramono.😎
@@factorsofjack A little. I can hear the Ray too 😆
I like the yellow mini trapper, if the blades are centered, and carbon steel. It is a every day carry, before edc!
@@peterfreidel7721 I loved it until I tried to center the blades and broke it. I need to get another one. Thanks for checking the video out!!
