Just your average retired factory worker and a testicular cancer survivor from Upstate New York with a love for knives and EDC. While this channel is primarily about knives and edc gear, it also includes alot more stuff. It might even include things like camping, hiking, bicycles, electric scooter vlogs,
Geocaching, flea markets, outdoor expos and maybe even Bigfoot. This all started because my Wife bought me a GoPro Hero for Christmas 2015.

Awesome hat!
@@keithbobe1223 Still wearing the exact same one. 😆
Mine says 0720 under the 152OT. I guess that is the steel alloy its made from. Mine also says Special Edition on the right side of the blade.
@richardturk7162 Nice, a Special Edition! 0720 is a high speed tool steel.
I've carried these flashlights for years never let me down
Not super bright but they're cheap and reliable.
Oh yeah, one more thing. The cut out in the handle is for what i've read to cut your cigar. So for the cigar smokers when they forgot their designated cigar cutter, this will also be an option. Greetings from the Netherlands
I've heard that also.
I love this knife. I have it for god knows how long. It's the older model though, with the longer oval type of shield that says plain and simple old timer. Mine also have some quality issues. The blade is dead centered with mine and i took my rotary tool and grinded down the kick just a bit and enough for the blade to go down lower. Just a minor gapping, but nothing to much. I recently got it out of the box again. I've been carrying my medium stockman knife from imperial prov. U.S.A for awhile and i wanted to change my carry option. So i guess the old timer it is😌
@TS-gd2ug I think it's a cool design. I've been carrying the Old Timer Bruin that my Wife bought me for my birthday.
@factorsofjack I've been eyeballing that one for a long time now. I just did not want another locking blade. Maybe 🤔 But a very nice gift indeed😌. The stockman that I carried was also a gift from my wife. It's from the 70's if I'm correct.
Did you have case fix it?
No, I still haven't sent it in yet.
In Canada they are 50 bucks because everything is too expensive here but it's still a d*** good knife.
I like it because you it's the same size as the regular 110 but a whole lot lighter. Thanks for checking it out!!
Great blade love the orange d handles
It's in dire need of sharpening now. I've used it a ton since I've gotten it. It's help up good tho. Thanks for checking the video out!!
Can pocket clip be removed?
Yes.
great honest review!
Thanks for checking it out!!!
I'm looking for a good mini trapper to carry around that isn't too expensive but isn't trash either!
@calebthomas5411 Me too! I really liked the mini trapper but I broke the blade trying to center them.
Still doing vids? Havnt seen one in awhile...
@johnnyr701 I plan on starting up soon. I've just been busy recovering from open heart surgery and catching up on everything I didn't get done this summer. Thanks for checking in.
Mines was really loose on the sheath
I really can't remember how this one was, I gave it to my Son. He carried it and abused it for awhile. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
For the money it’s a good knife. I used spray graphite lube on mine and it smoothed out perfect.
I gave mine away. I might pick another one up. Thanks for checking the video out!!
I really like Ericas videos, she's one of the few knife youtubers whose opinions I take seriously.
She's a good egg. Thanks for checking the video out!!!
Case knives used to come razor sharp idk what the hell is going on in the factory but for about the past 10 years all of my case knives have came brand new with a rough edge but im telling you i got my first yellow hane trapper when i was 13 and ive now got around 95 different case knives alone and up until around 10 years ago i could shave with a brand new case knife
@6776L Agree. I dont have many, only six and mine have had a fairly ok edge, but definitely not that great. I've had to hone and strop them all. Not much but the factory edge needs some TLC. Thanks for checking the video out!!
How are you doing Jack? It's been a month since you've put up a video. I myself joined you in the retirement ranks as of last week. I hope all is going well and I hope you are able to put up some content in the near future
@southpawscortz34 Congratulations! Retirement is the best job you've ever had. I'm doing good, just busy going to cardiac rehab 3 times a week and catching up on things I couldn't get done over the summer. I have a few new knives and other items I need to do videos on. Maybe I can get a couple out next week.
@factorsofjack Glad to hear you doing okay. Stay active. UA-cam will be here when the weather gets cold
Knowing there’s a lifetime warranty on a buck knife gives a man a good piece of mind
@CrazyTrainUSA plus the 110 and 112 will last forever. Thanks for checking the video out.
I must be weak of something. I can't get it to close but I figured out how to change the blade easy.
Good thinking using the zipper pull. Thanks!
They come in handy. I have them on some of my Swiss Army Knives. Thanks for checking the video out!!
Looks nice
@@DeadgrinCustoms Thanks! It's something I plan on trying again over the winter.
I guess I was under the impression you were not supposed to push that hard. Just use more aggressive stone to remove more material?
It doesn't take much pressure for it to flex. I probably do use too much pressure, tho.
Could you posy a clip of how you'd open a beer bottle with the pry bar? I'm struggling
Sorry, this was my Son's and I think he has lost it.
Can you do the p38 next?
It's an unbagging, not an unboxing hillybilly!
Lovely under 8 bucks add to cart wait for fun what could go wrong ...did you end up stroping it?
@@rcjoe406 it is cool for 8 bucks. Thanks for checking it out!!
don't waste our time descripting the other knives, we came here to know about the Huntsman. We don't care how many other knives you have
@@taehwiniM then watch a different video.
👍🏻
Is the carbon steel that case offers better than the tru sharp stainless steel?
@Oshianis depends on if you want a blade to patina or one that stays shiny. As far as edge retention I don't think there's much difference personally.
@@factorsofjack any significant difference between CV and CS
Excellent video!
@toddrobertson9795 thanks for checking it out!!!
I put cards in this and a pen and o light on the outside the leather breaks in really nice and the zipper smooths out fast it's a solid leather zipper card wallet for 14 cards cash and a mini rite in the rain pad,
@matthewnovosedlik3302 I don't use it often but I did just used it to attend a wedding a couple weeks ago. I just had my cards and cash in it.
Oil that clip it helps a lot!!
@@LandoniousRex077 ill try it.
The clip is nothing to write home about - although I understand the aproach! Only clip thing that works on an Opinel without drilling and so on is: NOT EXISTING Just use it or take sth else
@Dani-wn6wh Its absolutely worthless.
Sweet, I like it!

great video! thank you for the overview :D
@@cleanerpath94 Thanks for checking it out!!
@@factorsofjack quick question for you: do you prefer edc the swiss champ or the spirit tool x? i have been watching many of your videos to decided which one i should go with. i plan on deep-pocket carrying them. thank you!!
I think I prefer to carry the Spirit X just because it's harder use. I carry both either in pocket or on my belt. The Champ I use a suspension clip and that works great for me.
Cool looking notebook Jack!! Thanks 🙏
Thanks for checking the video out!!
Nice! How you feeling these days bud?
I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. Thanks for asking.

@@davidkurle5418 Thanks for checking it out!!
I like that one!!
@RandysWSG yea it's a pretty cool one plus a free sticker included. Thanks for checking it out!!
I added Plus scales on mine and now it's just perfect. Initially i filed the slot for the pen on the original scales, but ended up buing some third party plus scales and now it's just perfect for pocket carry
Nice! I'd like to put plus scales on a bunch of my Victorinoxs. Thanks for checking the video out!!
Hey Jack. Good to see you. Nice notebook. Have a great weekend!
Thanks! You have a great weekend also!
You guys have the same pocket organizer! 😂
I've had it almost 5 months and like it. I've bought 2 other ones but can't give this one up.

Thanks! You have a great weekend also.
You're nice guy but it's too much if she just taking her mobile phone normally 😁😁
Not really if she's always taking for my stuff.
Good ideas, the Blood pressure and Glucose...I was using a separate book. Your idea is better.
Thanks! I might compile all the readings together just so it will be easier to show the Doctors. Thanks for checking the video out!!
I have been on the merry-go-rounds of all the popular knife brands- now I have been in the process of getting rid of many, but my Buck Knifes, Winkler knives and a few others I will keep. I am done with all that EDC talk of super light knives- my knives need to have weight and some girth.
I will always have a BUCK 110 and a 112.
Regards the Coast DX126 utility knife! It costs 12$ on Amazon. I have several of them and one in use already for around 3 years. The Coast DX126 is stainless steel and has an free blade length of about 1.2". Those all other Civivi and O-Knife are extremely overpriced. Your list is basically an up sell of overpriced garbage which costs at production not even 3 Dollars. These little knives cost all not more than 4 USD to produce but I see some sell for around 50$ and most of them for 25 USD. That is hugely overpriced. Lots of these have not an full tang like the O-Knife. The Coast DX126 has a full stainless tang, an liner lock with some additional safety lock and brass washers I believe. No screw to take out the blade but rather an internal change mechanism. I like however the axis lock of the O-Knife but the knife is vastly overpriced. I had the Gerber EAB as well and after 1 year of use the liner lock got rocking up and down which is an indication of poor workmanship and non hardened liner lock surfaces. Do not buy the Gerber EAB. I like the Civivi design and blade length. However it is at 49$ way to overpriced and should cost 12$ as the Cost DX126 does. I recommend the Coast DX126 since I have not seen any flaw on it in years of use. O-Light is known to offer way overpriced chinese products which cost just a part what they are priced at western customers for.
I like the Coast and I've stayed away from the high priced ones that Civivi and Olight. I've seen posts where the Civivi one had broken. Thanks for checking the video out!!
@@factorsofjackdude don't listen to him. The otacle u1 knife is nice. It's an axis lock with bearings at 25 bucks. It's excellent
