Your the total package. Keep it up. I been a primarily self taught artist for 20 plus years. Learned lots from your videos. Very rare to be able to teach and paint.
Wow, you look totally different Chelsea! I had to look at the channel name to make sure I was on your channel. Heehee. All great advice. Good tip about yellow ochre for doing flesh tones. I don't normally do portraits, but I sometimes practice, and I did have a lemon yellow on my palette for the bright areas and I hated it. LOL
It's funny how our perception of how long a piece takes gets warped. I only recently started recording my work and I had a similar experience to where pieces will take weeks or months (literally or just my perception) but when I look at how much actual time from the recording is spent purely making marks, it's much lower. Thanks for continuing to share your advice!
I love your videos and hope to someday paint with such confidence. I could not find the link for the video you mentioned regarding painting backgrounds. Could you share it?
Chelsea!! I don’t think you understand how much guidance you give to us artist who feel so lost in this scary journey. Thank you so so much!!

Thank you Chelsea! Wow, this is so helpful!! I am a new painter, and your videos are such a gift!!!
I’ve never used oils but a lot of what you’ve said is really helpful and transferable for watercolours 😊
