    Man, I haven't been able to find any other source that clearly shows and states that the Kailh switch mounts are not compatible with other switch types (especially for the Nuphy Air75). Kudos on showing that in your video!

    I've owned the Logi MX, Logi G915, Keychron K3. The Lofree Flow definitely has the best typing action by far. Also if you add some O rings to the switches, you can reduce the typing noise even more because the way the keycaps/switches are designed on the Lofree, the O rings will dampen keys completely bottoming out. My only criticisms of the Lowfree is (1) the keyboard lighting is pretty much useless and too dim (2) the F-Keys are the default setting rather than media keys (with no easy way of changing it). Lofree should try and implement some key mapping software. (3) switching between devices should have a dedicated media key instead of having to press FN+1, FN+2, FN+3 etc as I switch numerous devices during the course of the day.

    As much as I love NuPhy boards, I think this one appeals to me more than the Air series. I will likely get the tactile model.

    Lofree exudes a classical music vibe, whereas Nuphy embodies the energetic and vibrant spirit of K-pop.

    Yeah it feels like the biggest con is just the low customization with the keycaps and switches. It looks like you can't even add a set of black or white keycaps as an add-on or separate accessory, which is a miss. I also think the non-adjustable risers was a miss, especially when trying to compete with NuPhy who we know lots of people like to put their keyboard on top of their laptop for an integrated feel. With this type of keyboard I feel like the RGB backlighting is not a big deal. I wouldn't be mad if they just straight up removed it and then lowered the price. It has a more "Mac" aesthetic so a white backlight would suffice by default and then if they could have the option of colour RGB as an add-on, that would make sense.

    The Lofree Flow is now available from US online retailer Divinikey as well as direct on Lofree's website. The price is now $159, so it has increased since I recorded this video.

    Do you, by any chance, have also the tactile switches so you could do the sound comparison between linear and tactile switches on the Lofree Flow? I've been looking around for such thing, but no youtuber has made such comparison.

    Love your content. You mention bluetooth connectivity is stable but how does the latency feel like? Would you be able to compare it against Nuphy Air/Halo series and let me know if there is any perceptible difference? Trying to decide between this or Nuphy Air75 V.2. Subscribed for that comparison/review!

    Would it be possible to compare it to a Nuphy Air 96 as it has the dampening foam? The Air60 imo sounds horrible stock, a modded Air96 is a whole other dimension in terms of the sound. Not quite sure if I need an additional kb but if it sounds so good...

    How would you compare this keyboard to the Keychron K3 Pro? Thinking of buying one of these two models!

    • @semiprotech
      @semiprotech  Рік тому +3

      In terms of connectivity it is equal to the K3 Pro with 3xBluetooth and wired USB-C. The K3 Pro has QMK/VIA compatibility for remapping & macros (I'm told that Lofree is going to offer this in the future, but right now there is no remapping capability). Battery life with lighting off might be a tad better on the Flow in my experience, but not by much. The main difference is in typing feel & sound, and the design aesthetic. K3 Pro is not super loud, but more of a light clacky sound. The Flow is both subtle and solid at the same time - soft but not mushy (at least with the linear switches, I haven't tried the tactile option). You can hear a sample of the K3 Pro with brown switches here: ua-cam.com/video/c-V5sQ_NjS8/v-deo.html
      I hope that helps!

    Waiting for the comparison with the Nuphy Air 75 to buy one. How's that comparison going? What about the Keychron K3 Pro?

    • @semiprotech
      @semiprotech  Рік тому

      Hopefully will have it published at the end of this week! Pretty night and day in terms of the sound profile. My biggest pros in favor of the Air75: 2.4GHz and at least the option to customize with NuPhy Console (though that's not the best and Windows only). But the sound of the Flow...if Apple made a mechanical keyboard I would imagine it sounding like the Flow. Just a few execution things on the Flow I'd like to see addressed that I mentioned in my review...like the white keycaps being semi-transparent, and not having the option to get the exact switch + color option you might want. I hope the comparison ends up being helpful!

    Ok, I got mine and so far I like it but the function keys do not work (e.g. F12 triggers "volume up", the same as Fn+F12). I'm on Linux with Win mode on the keyboard, does anybody knows if there's a fix? Anybody experiences the same issue?

  • @Lynildps

    Can you remap the keys, either through their software (if they have one) or through VIA?

    • @semiprotech
      @semiprotech  Рік тому

      Currently there is no direct remapping functionality. I’ve heard they are looking into that as a future capability, but right now you would have to use third party software like karabiner elements or microsoft powertoys to remap.

    • @Lynildps

      @@semiprotech yea, I decided to go with Nuphy. The fact that it doesn't have a 2.4ghz connection is also just a no-go.
